Unfortunately I was unable to download this book before the archive date, so I'm not able to leave a review. I look forward to reading and reviewing books by this author in the future.

In an electrifying debut that reads like Fight Club colliding head-on with Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, Turner's "Zone Trip" sets the stage for a relentless battle between rebellious artists and the dominating grip of Big Tech in the heart of San Francisco. With a riveting narrative that holds no punches, this technothriller immerses readers in a world where defiance is an art form and the boundaries between reality and manipulation blur into a chaotic dance.

I hate to say it but this book was terrible. It started in such a jarring manner that I felt as though I had dropped in to a book series with established character arcs and nuances. I am fairly confident that this is not the case, and there was a lack of character development that was to the detriment of 'buy in' for the narratve and also, the likability of the characters. They were all terrible. And way too old to behave the way they are behaving in this book. I was incredibly frustrated by Evan being either extremely stupid or completely infantile in his commitment to Leo. I am unsure what the sex scenes in the book contributed to the flow of narrative and it was so poorly written it was cringeworthy. There are more apt ways of building tension, relationships and lust and this. is. not. it.
The blessing of this book is that it was short and my torture was short lived.
