This book (and series) is over the top, as it should be! It fits perfectly with the fairytale feeling this holiday series gives. A laugh out loud story with a. few healthy eye rolls that ends with the reader smiling.

I love the elves and their adoration of official town turkey. His survival story feels so real! I find myself thinking how April pushes her holiday ideas on Santa Land just seems so....pushy. And although the story is following April (Mrs. Claus), I do wish I would see more interaction with her and her husband. I enjoy the little tidbits we do get, but it always seems like she's simply stating how busy he is. But these little qualms are okay to ignore because the story is just so good. I can't wait for the next book and what trouble she gets into next. Thank you #NetGalley and #Kensington for the eArc in exchange for a review. I am happy to review and promote Liz Ireland"s Mrs. Claus Mysteries.

Liz Ireland's Mrs. Claus series is a lot of fun. I've read the first three books in the series and jumped at the opportunity to read the book when I saw it was available on NetGalley. Although I am thankful for the author/publishers' generosity of previewing the book, the review is entirely mine and not impacted by their generosity.

This is the fourth book in the series, Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys. In this case, all of our friends are back with another mystery. April and her husband Nick are ushering in yet another new tradition in Santaland, Thanksgiving. As with many things in Cozy Mysteries, the setup is a bit bonkers, but for the world Ireland has crafted, it works. Is this my favorite book in the series? It's not. However, I still found this book highly enjoyable and can't wait to read the next one in the series when it comes out.

In Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys, the sacrificial bird of the holiday goes missing from Castle Kringle, and April has a ton of suspects to work through. And if that's not bad enough, Nick's cousin Elspeth face plants in the mashed potatoes at a pre-Thanksgiving Day feast (because the elves can't just have a holiday for one day). Immediately, suspicion is thrown on April, and her deviled eggs are a culprit. April needs to get suspicion off herself and onto the real killer while finding Gobbles, the death row turkey that's supposed to be the Thanksgiving Day meal.

Again, this is a fun book. Is it perfect? No. Is it a fun book in this series? Yes. I think the book is entertaining and kept me reading to the end. I think people who enjoy the series will definitely find this a solid addition to the series. I would not recommend jumping in with this book; go back and read the earlier books. Personally, I liked the earlier books a bit more, but it may be because part of me couldn't get over bringing an American custom to Santaland. With all the talk of Thanksgiving, it seems the point of the actual holiday does get a little lost in translation.

This was such a fun and entertaining read. I really enjoyed following along on the hijinks. I must catch up on the rest of the series!
Many thanks to Kensington and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is book 4 in the Mrs. Claus series and I'd recommend reading the previous books. April has decided that Nick and everyone in Castle Kringle need to celebrate and old fashioned American Thanksgiving. Nick, Santa thinks it's a distraction too close to Christmas but he wants Mrs. Claus to be happy. When Nick's cousin drops dead there is another mystery for April and her friends to solve. More mystery when the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner disappears. A fun cute read.

I'd like to thank NetGalley for the Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys (Mrs. Claus, #4) by Liz Ireland. When my request to read this book was approved, I was happy to receive this novel for free in exchange for my honest review.

My first foray into this series was a novella that was a part of collected works, and I thought the story was just okay, so I was happy to see that the series does get better. It still is a cozy mystery and a bit young for my taste, but it was a lot more interesting. This is a series that I'll likely stay with as most of the characters are relatable. I am happy to say that I didn't see the ending coming despite the author dropping lots of clues . . . I should've figured out part of what was going to happen.

Four out of five stars is what I gave Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys (Mrs. Claus, #4) by Liz Ireland. It's a super cute book that is a definite must read in October or November to put yourself in the mood for Thanksgiving. I look forward to seeing what kind of shenanigans happen in the next installment.

April Claus has convinced the resident elves of Santaland to celebrate Thanksgiving. The elves are excited to add another celebration to their calendar. April has several problems including the fact that Gobbles, the turkey chosen for the Thanksgiving feast, has gone missing. I also loved the images of the elf marching band trying to prepare for the parade.

Of course, eventually there is a murder which needs to be solved. I did know almost immediately one part of the mystery, but I didn’t realize who the killer was until much later. I gave this novel four stars. It is a great choice for the month of Thanksgiving or any time you want to remember that special time of year.

This is my first time reading this author. She does a fantastic job of creating the setting of Santaland. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the free Advanced Readers Copy. All opinions are mine.

April Claus has brought the tradition of Thanksgiving to Castle Kringle and All of the elves in the community are excited to participate. Any excuse for any celebration works for the elves.
Unfortunately, there is a death at the Thanksgiving potluck and Constable Crinkle is too busy working on his Thanksgiving parade float to give it the time required to solve. Since April seems to be his prime suspect, it's up to her to solve the murder.
Another fun book in the series. I recommend it.

I enjoy this series and love visiting the North Pole any time of the year. I like the characters and the mystery kept me guessing.

Princess Fuzzypants here: April Claus is married to the real deal. Santa. They live at the North Pole where being Santa has been the family business. There are elves and reindeer and all the various Christmas time folk. April met Santa while he was on vacation so she has had a learning curve as what was expected. She has done a great job in the previous book but she may have met her match in trying to get the citizens to appreciate a holiday from her American roots, Thanksgiving.

But as much as everyone has embraced this new tradition, things are not running smoothly. In fact, a murder is but one of the things that has gone wrong. The elves, in an attempt to make the celebration happy for April have ordered a turkey on line. What arrives is not quite what they expected but it has more than a few tricks up its feathers.

It is a fun read and quite entertaining. Four purrs and two paws up.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Kensington Books for my copy of Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys by Liz Ireland in exchange for an honest review. It published September 26, 2023.
First off, this must be such a fun series to write! I just can imagine how neat it must be to come up with all of the names of places and characters, coming up with the city, and everything else! This book was also very fun to read! As far as cozies go, this one is definitely up there!

I mentioned in the review for the last one that I just might not have the imagination for this series. Unfortunately, these have become formulaic: someone/something goes missing, April and her friends look all over for said missing person, and they find a dead body. Oh, and April tries to change what should be the happiest place on earth by introducing a different holiday. The writing wasn’t as good in this one as the others and I found my mind wandering from the story. This really just isn’t for me.

I received a copy from #NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a great addition to this fun, not-your-typical cozy mystery series. It's a quirky read for the upcoming holiday season. Multiple questions keep the reader guessing. And the names of everything/everyone bring a smile to your face. While part of a series, it can stand alone (though it's nice to see familiar characters, plus a few new ones, if you've read the prior books).

I haven’t read the first three books in this series, but I didn’t think that spoiled enjoying this one at all. I have always been a fan of Christmas themed things so I knew I had to read this cozy mystery series at some point. I thought the world building was cute and I loved the side characters of elves and reindeer and snowmen. April is the current Mrs. Claus and she is trying to bring Thanksgiving to Santaland despite her husbands misgivings about the time of year. When Santa’s cousin Elspeth is murdered at a pre-Thanksgiving dinner celebration April is suspected. Desperate to clear her name and find the real killer April is hunting for a killer, and their missing turkey hoping to save Thanksgiving. I will definitely read more in this series. I gave it 4.5 stars overall rounded up for the fun holiday charm.

Delightful and charming cozy mystery set at the North Pole. Amy Claus has told so many of the residents of Christmastown about the joy of the holiday of Thanksgiving that the elves, the people, the reindeer and everyone have decided to hold their own first Thanksgiving holiday. But Gobbler, the live turkey Amy imported from down below, disappears, and then, at a pre-holiday dinner, Elspeth Claus, her husband Nick's cousin, eats one of Amy's hors d'oeuvres--and drops dead. Did Mrs. Claus really poison someone? Of course not, but since she's the main suspect, she springs into action and suddenly finds herself not just trying to solve a murder and find her turkey, but facing unexpected dangers. This series was new to me, and I have to confess that I found it charming and delightful. I have no problem suspending disbelief--of course Santa's reindeer can talk, and of course the elves are not all good workshop minions, and naturally Santa has to have a family. What a funny, clever, and charming series. I am definitely going to hunt down the others in the series, because I want to read how Amy met Nick Claus in Oregon (he was on vacation), and how she reacted to finding out he was part of the Claus family. Highly recommended and perfect for this time of year.

The residents of the North Pole are eagerly preparing for their very first Thanksgiving, a holiday introduced to them by Mrs. Claus. Some, like her husband Nick, are anxious about another holiday so close to Christmas, and others are busy preparing for the parade, creating floats and balloons, and finding turkey and pie recipes. But when their turkey, Gobbles, goes missing and Eslpeth Claus is poisoned at a pre-holiday gathering, Santaland is thrown into chaos. As usual, Mrs. Claus is on the case.

This entire series just brings me so much joy. I mean, what could be better than Mrs. Claus solving crimes in the North Pole with a hot Santa husband and a town full of elves? The book leans into its camp, embracing the cheesier holiday aspects and making for laugh-out-loud fun. The mystery also came together nicely, with me figuring out one major clue early on, but struggling to see how it all came together until the end. I can't wait to see what holiday Mrs. Claus tackles next! Valentine's Day? St. Patrick's Day? Groundhog's Day? Easter? I want them all!

Thanks to Kensington Books for my ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars - 9/10

In the fourth volume in the series, Mrs. Claus introduces the North Pole citizens to Thanksgiving, American style. The live turkey they order from the U.S. has a name and becomes a pet, shortly before it disappears. April focuses on finding Gobbles as she prepares for the big day. During a preliminary celebration, someone from the Claus family dies, and April becomes a suspect in the suspicious death. Jake Frost and her friend Claire help April figure out what is going on at the North Pole. Santa again takes a back-seat role to his wife. Although the focus of this cozy mystery series is the North Pole, it might be fun to center the next story at April's summer business in Oregon, where Santa joins her incognito. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing an ARC.

The Mrs. Claus series is so unique and fun to read, it's quickly become one of my favorites. In this book, Thanksgiving is being celebrated in Santaland for the first time and so many things are going wrong, including a missing main course!

I loved seeing Mrs. April Claus in action once again to solve a murder and also tracking down a missing turkey! I also liked the scenes between April and Nick because they really showed how much he loves his wife. It was fun having April's best friend Claire in Santaland, but her secret shouldn't have been that hard for April to guess. The murder mystery is more complicated than I expected and I like the way it was resolved. This creative mystery series will have you cheering for April and believing in Santa and the whole world Liz Ireland has created.

I received an advance copy of this ebook at no cost from NetGalley and Kensington Books, but my review is voluntary

A cute cozy that does Thanksgiving with gusto! April Claus is married to the real life Santa Claus and lives in Santaland for part of the year. This year the elves have decided to surprise April with a Thanksgiving feast and the entire town has gone in for turkey, a parade and a side of murder!

Yes, this has sentient reindeer, entrepreneur elves and a whole Claus family. And lots of Christmas decor, after all that is what drives most of the economy. Not everyone is dipped in Christmas cheer as a disgruntled woman is poisoned and April wonders if a wild elf wanted for murder and theft might some how be linked to the latest homicide (yes, there has been homicide before, this is the fourth in the series). April is also confounded by the disappearance of the live turkey, Gobble, who is suppose to be the featured centerpiece for Thanksgiving dinner from a locked condo abode.

This is full of holiday trappings and feelings and also quirky and fun characters. It has everything you want in a cozy and a decent mystery to boot. And, there are also some family clashes (there has to be at least a few on Thanksgiving, doesn't there?). But in the end the spirit of Thanksgiving prevails and it will leave you with a smile on your face. There aren't that many cozies that go for all out for Thanksgiving but this one will definitely get you in the mood and hungering for some Turkey, sides and pies!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest opinion.

This was a very entertaining cozy mystery! I love how the author created an interesting North Pole with a variety of different characters and personalities. The fun elf names were also a welcome addition.

The mystery was definitely an original one; no overused plots exist in this story and by the end, everything is neatly wrapped up. Santa makes a few appearances; he's more of a supporting character, while his wife takes center stage.

I hope to read more books in this series.
