I received this book for free from netgalley for an honest review.

I'm really cute addition to the series! I love that it goes by different holidays even though it said it Christmas Town.

This series is a bit different from your normal cozy mystery. It is fun and a bit quirky. This time April is trying to introduce the custom of Thanksgiving into Santaland. Everybody seems to be embracing the idea with enthusiasm. April is so down-to-earth as she could be snobby since she married to Santa. But others still seem to walk all over her, such as the one that leads her to be a suspect in the death of Elspeth. She then has to set out to clear her name. There are other minor mysteries involved; where is Gobbles- dinner for Thanksgiving? I was kept guessing until the end.

Mrs Claus brought Thanksgiving to Santa land! April must investigate when Gobbles, the castle’s Thanksgiving turkey is turkey-napped. Of course, that’s just the beginning. Someone is murdered at a pre-Thanksgiving dinner and fingers are pointed at April. Frost shows up on the search for an escapee that murdered a jewel minor, there’s a break-in, and an assault! Could all this possibly be related?

Liz Ireland keeps you guessing until the very end. She creates a fun and engaging story line that sucks you in right from the start. Ireland has a way of bringing her characters to life and her description of the space room/area around them is so detailed that feel like you’re right there with them. You won’t be disappointed with this cozy.

This is the fourth installment of the Mrs. Claus mysteries. This time April's friend is coming to visit. With loads of quirky fun this is a fun read. A missing turkey, a murder, a marching band and Claire is being very quiet about something. Fast paced. Thanks #netgalley and #Kensington for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are. mine.

I love this series and this latest entry in this clever cozy premise continues to deliver. Set in the North Pole, transplanted American, April, married her husband and supports him in the family business of being Santa Claus. In a town full of elves, talking snowmen and reindeer, the author brings the delightful mix to wonderful life. In this latest adventure mystery, who turkey-napped Gobbles as everyone's starting to prepare for the first ever Thanksgiving celebrations? And, when one of April's nemesis falls over dead, who killed her and why? Such a fun mystery and I can't wait for the next in this series!

Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys is Liz Ireland’s fourth Mrs. Claus mystery, featuring April, an innkeeper from Oregon who married Nick Claus, the real Santa Claus and moved to Santaland with him. They do go back to Cloudberry Bay, Oregon for summer vacations, but home is now up north. It’s obvious, though, that April misses her former home at times.

That’s why Santaland is celebrating its first Thanksgiving. But, no one in Santaland can settle for just one day of celebration. The people, elves, and reindeer are going to celebrate for an entire week. There’s a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. There’s a parade planned with a helium balloon, a marching band, and Santa arriving to kick off the season. There are Pilgrim decorations all over Santaland, ones that make April nostalgic for the U.S. But, there’s a problem with April’s plan for Thanksgiving dinner. Gobbles, the live turkey center of the feast, has disappeared from his cage. Instead, Grimstock, the vulture, is in the turkey cage.

With an upset elf and children, April’s first priority is to find Gobbles. Failing that, she and Nick’s nephew, put up posters of the missing turkey. But, she also has to practice for marching with the band. She’s concerned about her best friend, Claire, visiting from Oregon. Claire’s keeping secrets, and hanging around a wealthy realtor elf, Blaze Whitewreath, “the Don Juan of Santaland”. In fact, that causes an argument in a coffeeshop because Elspeth Claus, Nick’s cousin, seems to think she and Blaze were an item.

April really can’t seem to do anything right when it comes to Nick’s relatives. Asked to bring a side dish to the pre-Thanksgiving dinner, at the last minute she puts together a cute dish she finds on YouTube. But, Elspeth brought a dish that looks identical, and accuses April of stealing the idea from her. Unfortunately, as Elspeth falls face-first in the mashed potatoes, she points at April, and utters two words. Now, some in Santaland think April Claus is a killer.

I know these books sound absurd. An American innkeeper lives in Santaland with her husband, the interim Santa Claus, family members, elves, snowmen and reindeer. Then, there are sentences like this. No spoilers.

“To deal with monsters, you have to become a little bit of a monster yourself. Otherwise the monsters will win every time.”

“Maybe this week was exemplifying a traditional American Thanksgiving. It was that little-discussed flipside of a Norman Rockwell holiday: panic, family tension, and a mad scramble to bring all the ingredients together.”

When April looks for the actual killer, she thinks about the people and elves who’d lost their lives to some smug, arrogant murderer, not to mention a coldhearted birdnapper. That sums up this cozy mystery series with a heart, a passion for holidays and others, and a weird sense of humor. Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys has a great deal of wackiness to satisfy any cozy mystery reader.

I know that this series might seem a little hokey, but they are so much more than that. This is the fourth book in the series, and April’s best friend is visiting from the South…which in Santaland, that’s anything south of the North Pole. Just like in the other books, mayhem ensues with April trying to bring a little Thanksgiving to the mostly Christmas-centric town, but the turkey has gone missing, and there’s a murder. I just love all the characters in this series: April, Quasar, Pamela…heck, like I said, all of them. If you love laugh-out-loud fun, give this series a try. Yes, it’s a little corny, but it’s loads of fun, full of mystery, a dash of romance, and mostly laughter. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Thanksgiving has found its way to Santaland and April Claus is neck deep in the party planning. When Gobbles, Castle Kringle’s Thanksgiving turkey, disappears, April can’t help but investigate. The turkey napping is just the tip of the iceberg though. A jewel theft, a murder, a break-in, and an assault bring additional chaos to April’s investigation. Now April’s best friend is sneaking around mysteriously, April’s been replaced in marching band, and been placed on a wait list for a frozen turkey to replace Gobbles at the Thanksgiving feast. April is struggling with everything on her plate, not to mention she’s also been accused of murder. Can April solve all of these crazy cases or will Santaland’s first Thanksgiving turn into a complete disaster?

Ireland’s fourth trip to Santaland is pure magic! The Santaland setting is so creative and her world building is strong. The descriptions of various stores, activities, and creatures are clear and thought out. Ireland’s created fantastic characters. April is curious, determined, and at times a bit bumbling. Her kitchen disasters are epic. She’s a great surrogate for the reader as we make our way through the story trying to solve the mystery. But the side characters are where Ireland really shines. Jake Frost, Constable Crinkle, Quasar, and all the various elves, humans, reindeer and snowman that make up Santaland are the stars of the show. This cozy read is also full of Ireland’s joyous sense of humor. I giggled throughout the read! April always seems to find herself in hilarious, outlandish predicaments and the denizens of Santaland are always up to some madcap misadventures. A strong entry in the Mrs. Claus Mysteries!

I received a free copy of, Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys, by Liz Ireland, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book four in the Mrs. Claus, Mystery series. Its Thanksgiving and all should be safe and happy, but it is not. Gobbles, the turkey is missing, Mrs. Claus is a suspect in a murder, can Thanksgiving be saved? I love the names of the shops in this town Tea-piphany and Santaland Scoop, are two of my favorites. A good mystery in a good series.

A great addition to the series, you will be wondering whodunnit until the very end of the book. All the characters you love plus a couple new additions make for a well rounded cast of characters

When the locals decide to bring Thanksgiving to Santaland for April, she had no idea what a gobble cluster things would turn into. First the Turkey they brought in for the feast is kidnapped. Then one of the extended Claus family is murdered and the woman pointed right at April before she died, making her look quite guilty. And finally, a murderer from The Far Reaches makes it to Santaland and there can be no relaxing holiday for April unless this is all resolved..and they have a turkey to eat.

Luckily April’s best friend from back home is in town and Jake Frost comes to town as well, providing additional help to solve the mysteries that are stirring up trouble in Santaland. Can April and the gang figure it all out and save Thanksgiving? Or will this be one turkey that crashes and burns, ruining Thanksgiving for good?

Another fun entry in this series. It always brings a welcome respite from reality for awhile and some chuckle along as well as a great mystery. I enjoy this series and it’s a quick read that lets me unwind and just revel in the story while I’m reading it.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Group for a copy of "Mrs. Claus and the Trouble with Turkeys" in exchange for my honest review.

This is book 4 in the Mrs. Claus series and the series gets better and better with each book. This time April (Mrs. Claus) has introduced the Thanksgiving holiday to Santaland and everyone has embraced it and is going all out to prepare for the festivities which seem to have expanded from one day to a whole week.

Of course, no Mrs. Claus mystery would be complete with murder and mayhem. First there is the missing Thanksgiving turkey Gobbles. Who would steal a turkey and why? Then there is a murder at Amory and Midge's pre-Thanksgiving buffet and the prime suspect is April. Constable Crinkles and his deputy Ollie are as hilarious as ever. They spend more time baking and crafting than they do actual police work. This time they were preoccupied with creating the perfect Thanksgiving Day parade float.

April's best friend Claire is visiting again and she's being rather secretive. Jake and April once again team up to solve the turkey-napping and murder. Before all the pieces come together there is another murder and mayhem breaks out at the parade.

It's hard to put down the Mrs. Claus books. They are fast-paced and exciting to read. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
