Finally Jane and Edwin decide to leave town and go on a well deserved vacation. Unfortunately, murder seems to follow Jane and she discovers a dead body on the beach in Oyster Bay. Edwin also has an accident and gets stung on the bottom of his feet by stingrays. I love the romance between these two and how they complete each other.

Jane discovers that the murder might be leading back to Storyton. The covergirls, and he fins decide to set a trap at a masquerade ball. I loved all the details given to all the elaborate costumes and all the book references. Jane's idea to make chips that are trackable was brillant. The body discovered close to her home could be the key to figuring out who the murderer is.

I love the fierce female friendships, all the book references and detective work to track a killer. I can't get enough of this author and all her cozy mysteries. I have come to enjoy all the quirky characters and all the unique personalities and it just feels like hanging out with friends every time you start a book.

Jane and her fiance Edwin travel to North Carolina for a romantic beach vacation. This is not the fun romantic vacation they hoped for as Edwin steps on a stingray moments before Jane discovers a body on the beach. As Jane and her team investigate, they discover this murder is somehow connected to Storybook Hall. This was a good read with likeable characters, plenty of red herrings, cute animals, some romance, and lots of suspense.
The ending ties everything together which makes me wonder if this is the final book in this wonderful series.

Ellery Adams seems sure to have a hit here. This is a story about book lovers and the issues that can happen when some feel threatened or are angry and how other readers come to the rescue. Perhaps some revenge is at play or maybe just being "out of it."

Whatever the case, Jane Steward and her soon to be husband Edwin, during their vacation are thrust in the middle of it at the picturesque spot on the North Carolina coast called Oyster Bay. All sorts of things happen on this "vacation" from stepping on a stingray to a couple of murders!

A classic case of whodunit is presented with many possible suspects. As Jane and her cohorts, of which there are many, get about tracking the killer or killers, situations arise causing the reader to wonder what is going on. The vacation gets turned topsy-turvy and Jane finds herself in a rather familiar role of erstwhile detective and chief worrier!!!

The conclusion is likely not what many would expect but it helps hold the reader's attention. Definitely recommend this for those bibliophiles as the title "Murder in the Book Lover's Loft" suggests/

Jane and Edwin head to the coast for a long overdue vacation. What was meant to be a relaxing time turned into yet another murder mystery that seems to fall straight into Jane’s lap.

When the body of a famous author is found on the private beach of a friend, Jane knows someone is trying to set someone else up for the murder they did. Then, when a hotel employees found dead behind Jane’s bungalow, it’s certain that she to somehow being targeted and connected to the crime.

Returning home to Storyton, Jane, the fins, and the cover girls set a trap to catch the killer before anyone else is harmed. Will they be able to keep the guests and attendees of the masquerade ball safe, and u mask a killer, or will they be the ones unmasked?

All good things must come to an end, and so it does with the Book Retreat Mystery series. This is been such a wonderful series, and I loved how much the author brought literature into the story each and every time. While I miss this series, I’m grateful that the author also has the secret book and scones society as well. Another series in which includes many references to books and literature of others that tie into the story. If you have never read any of Ellery Addams’ books, you’re in for a superb treat.

I enjoyed this book. It is nice seeing Jane and Edwin get out of Storyton once in a while even though all the characters are back. The mystery is interesting and I enjoyed the setting. I got the impression that this is the last book of the series, which is sad as I really liked them. It is good to see them get married. #MurderintheBookLoversLoft #NetGalley

This is an excellent series by Ellery Adams that just keeps getting better with each book. When Jane and fiancée Edwin decided to take a restful vacation to Oyster Bay, home of new friend Olivia Limoges, they didn’t bargain for Edwin being injured, and two murders that put Jane and Olivia on the suspect list. Let me say here I was excited when Olivia showed up in the last book, and to have her as part of the major plot in this book was fantastic. Olivia, Michele and the town of Oyster Bay were in a very successful series the author stopped writing, and I’m thrilled she’s being woven into this series. Returning to Storyton for the costume ball they’re throwing, Jane, Edwin and the rest of the team are determined to find the killer before another disaster can hit Storyton.
What I like about in this series is you don’t have to start at the first book to understand what’s going on, and the characters become more nuanced. A great series.

I really love this series and this book did not disappoint. The mystery was compelling and kept me hooked and trying to figure out the clues with Jane. The romance and the family is fantastic. Such a happy ending. I enjoyed the ties with Olivia from the other series by the author. I've only read the last two of this series. I really need to start at the beginning.

A nice, solid mystery that was well thought out with interesting clues. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy and I enjoyed my time reading this. I adore Ellery Adams writing. That being said, there are other cozies by her that I prefer.
