As always Chalon delivers a masterful work of art. I adore this series and this was like the cherry on top of the shake. There was a small lull in the center of the book but the overall flow of the book was beautifully done. Chiara (which is a name I absolutely love) and Abraham may be my favorite opposites attract pairing I've ever had the privilege to read.

(3.5 Stars) Chiara Madero is a daughter of an Italian Baron and her mother has brought her to England in hopes of landing her a titled wealthy husband. But in her first party she is intrigued by Mr. Abraham Jamison. He is a gentleman, but a second son, who has yet to choose a profession. He knows he is unsuitable for her as a husband but she continues to cross his path. She comes off in the beginning as entitled and pouty. But I dislike that he keeps from her that he is fluent in Italian so he can listen to how she really thinks about things as she doesn’t think any one can understand. I found that more dishonest than her putting him in a position where he must dance with her.

And of course there is good “G” rated attraction. This is the third in the Everly Family series, but can be read as a stand alone. The couple from the first book are not mentioned by Phoebe Jamison (Abraham’s sister) and Everly her fiancee from Forever Phoebe are in this book a lot. And I really like Phoebe and her practical and helpful ways. This is clean Regency Romance and will be good for young adults and up. The story is on the shorter side at just over 200 pages. Thank you to Covenant Communications and NetGalley for the ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

I would like to thank Covenant Communications and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC. This book is a Regency Romance type of book. I generally like them, but this one left me less than thrilled. As I look at the other reviews, It seems as though this is part of a series, or at least a book that the uses characters from previous books. None of the blurbs mentioned it as aprt of a series, but the opening seemed to drop me into the middle of people and situations that had a history I knew nothing about. It took a while to figure things out, and then it really became frustrating. Chiara is the daughter of an Italian Baron. She has come to England to find a husband her family will approve of-preferable a titled rich one. Of course, she falls for a man with no title and no money. Abraham , can't seem to explain himself to Chiara, but gets on famously with her little brother. There are the usual misunderstandings, angry parents, etc. Frankly, I wanted to shake both Chiara and Abraham and say snap out of it more than once. I did enjoy parts of it, but it just wasn't for me.

Chiara Madero comes from Italy to England in search of a husband. Her mother has her eye on whom she wants Chiara to marry. But Lord Landon feels like a brother or a friend. Chiara longs to marry someone she loves.
Abraham Jamison is the second son and knows that he must find his own direction in life. He has put off making a decision but knows he needs to decide.
When Abraham meets Chiara at a ball he tries to ignore her knowing he is below her station in life and has no right to court her. He can't seem to get the color of her eyes out of his head.
I've read all of the books in this series and Chiara's Choice quickly became my favorite.

4.5* The next entry in the Everly Series features a wounded heroine who covers her insecurities with a strong personality front. She is a fascinating character to see in action, and the way the hero balances her is a good juxtaposition. I enjoyed seeing familiar faces and seeing more of their story!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Chiara is a headstrong woman who views emotion as weakness and isn't opposed to throwing a tantrum to get her way. Abraham is not the heir and is delaying making a choice about a career. Look, this just wasn't for me. It's no insult to the author, some books resonate, some don't. I think I got a bad taste for Chiara that I just didn't get over. I don't think my own personal tastes in characters or tropes say anything about the writing though. I have enjoyed Chalon Linton in the past and I'm sure I will again. I received an ARC from the publisher and netgalley for an honest review.

It is an interesting historic romance because the heroine is Italian and she defies everything that most English ladies would say or do. Another interesting thing is that I managed strongly disliked the heroine in the beginning of the book and then start to like her, then disliked her and then liked her again. It is quite an achievement for the writer to take you through so many hoops without making you hate the heroine. But these unexpected changes of how you see the heroine made me realize how well she is developed throughout the book, as if in the real life where people do grow and change and our perspective of them can change too.

So yes, it is quite unique among typical historic novels and it addresses some interesting points. The family dynamics are also quite realistic where one can realize that wealth and status does not necessary equal to happiness.

Thanks to Netgalley for a free copy in exchange of an honest review.

I wasn’t so sure I liked Chiara at first but the more I understood her the more I liked her. I couldn’t help be a fan of Abraham. He was a true gentleman. I loved the warmth and friendship of the Jamison family. I really enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it.

This was a fun read, just a bit slow. I did enjoy the character development. My favorite character may have been Mattias :)
I loved that how much I disliked Chiara at the beginning and loved her by the halfway mark. I like Abraham the whole time. And I kind of really enjoyed watching how he reacted to Chiara-the good and the bad hehe

The MMC is likable and knows what he wants. However, it was a bit hard to connect with the MFC. She was annoying in the beginning. There was some character growth, so I appreciated that. It's only 3 stars for me because I just didn't like miscommunication conflicts in a story. I recommend this to people interested in the Clean Romance set in the Regency era.

My Rating Scale
⭐️⭐️: Okay, but not my cup of tea
⭐️⭐️⭐️: I liked it, but some were so-so
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: I loved it, but I will not reread
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Favorite and will reread

This is a story of false first impressions, and learning to see another for who they really. It did include one of my least favorite tropes...miscommunication. He withholds information, she is understandably angry, both leave town without telling the other at different points. It all just felt very frustrating!

There were just aspects of this story that felt very contrived to me, and took away from my enjoyment. For example, Chiara speaks her very personal thoughts aloud in Italian, assuming that no one can understand her. Then is angry to discover that she was understood. People don't usually lay bare their souls, in any language, carelessly.

The story IS sweet, and leads to a happy ending! Maybe someone else would really love it!

A wonderful continuation of the Everly series. Chiara and Phoebe are fast friends. They are so much alike. Chiara likes to be in control of the situation, but is at a loss when Abraham doesn't play along. She has to learn a new approach if she is to win his heart. With Phoebe on her side, will she learn what makes Abraham tick? He has secrets, but so does she. This book is a great story about being able to change, while still being who you are. Communication and honesty will help things to work out.

This book is well written and the author did capture the time period well. I found the plot was slow and although the character development for Chiara was good I never could reconcile her and Abraham as a couple. I appreciate the author’s writing and I have enjoyed her other books.

I adore Chalon Linton books and loved that this one picked up after Forever, Phoebe ended (though it can absolutely be read as a standalone). I would read any book about one of the Jamison brothers and am so glad we got Abraham's story!

When Abraham and Chiara's wills clash at a public ball, neither wants to have anything to do with the other. Besides, Chiara's visit from Italy only lasts a few months and her parents would never permit her to be courted by a second son from an untitled family.

But as they spend more time with each, neither can deny the attraction there, especially as Abraham realizes Chiara is not who she pretends to be.

What to love:
Regency Romance
Dual POV
Enemies to lovers
Slow-burn romance
Misunderstood, fiery heroine
Character from Italy
Chiara's character growth
Exploring the ruins
Steady, loyal Abraham
The Jamison brothers
Abraham tutoring Mattias
Theme of forgiveness
Cute flirting and swoony kisses!
Plot Twist!!!

One of my favorite parts of the book is that there were Italian characters with bits of the language interspersed throughout the book (always translated or obvious). I speak Italian, but I don't think there was so much of it that anyone would feel lost; just enough to give a taste!

Chiara is a tough character to like at first and then especially when you find out why she acts the way she does, but her character arc is well done and she definitely grew on me the more that I read.

I am keeping all my fingers crossed that we are going to get stories for Geoffrey and Peter - we need to read about all the Jamison brothers. If you enjoy sweet and clean regency romances, then you definitely need to check this one out!

I received a complimentary copy but a positive review was not required.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Chiara doesn't isn't likeable, at least in the beginning. She comes across as selfish, which I believe was intentional. I liked Abraham from the start though, so it was hard to really get excited about the budding romance. Chiara grows and develops, and by the end I was reasonably happy with the outcome, but still didn't love Chiara. Despite that, I enjoyed the book and finished it - so if you're looking for something to read, give it a try!

This is a fun, regency romp in the Jamison family. This book is about Abraham, the middle son, the quiet one. His life is upended when a feisty Italian woman comes into his life. Her life has not been like his, full of love of a family. She sincerely wants to be seen and heard. She wants to have a say in her life.

It was fun to watch Abraham grow and open to new ideas and adventures. I wonder which brother will be next in the series.

I love Ms. Linton's books, this one is no exception. I love how the characters are brought together and how they try to overcome obstacles that try and somewhat succeed to keep them apart. The characters were pretty raw and honest with each other and it was well written that those issues were dealt with and not mentioned, and then tossed.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for a fair review.

I absolutely and genuinely loved this book!
Although not labeled as a series, this book is a continuation of Forever, Phoebe - which I also read - and loved!
It wouldn't be totally necessary to read the first one to enjoy the second one, but I recommend it because you will be familiar with the other characters - and because the first book is very good also - and worth the time to read!
In both books, the main female character is intelligent, strong willed and not consumed with what 'society' thinks of them. But they are also willing to learn and change some of the things in their characters that need a little change.
In Chiara's Choice, Chiara is a fiery Italian woman who knows her mind.
She has been controlled since birth, and longs for a different life.
I love how her and Abraham fell in love - and how they see the strengths in each other's characters.
Themes of forgiveness, kindness, and bits of humor are sprinkled throughout the story.
Great characters, clean romance, sparky kissing, and very enjoyable situations.
This book was very well written, and flowed nicely. No boring parts!
I loved the addition of some Italian spoken (and also translated...)
I was given a copy of this book though NetGalley, but am not required to leave a specific type of review. All my opinions stated here are true and my own.
I highly recommend this book, and liked it enough to read it again!

This book caught me off guard, it was pleasant and I was excited by the fact that I get to travel to new places. I definitely would recommend!

Chalon Linton delivers a sweet Regency Romance featuring Abraham Jamison, whose sister is the title character of "Forever Phoebe". Indeed, the close Jamison siblings indulge in their lighthearted and loving banter, who are now joined by Franklin Everly. Misunderstood Chiara Madero demands Abraham march to her beat, with predictable results.

On the surface, Chiara appears haughty and unlikable. However, she's much more than meets the eye; I found her to be a sympathetic character very early on. Her target Abraham is a wonderful hero, albeit a *justifiably* confused one. The secondary characters are mostly well-drawn, especially Chiara's delightful little brother, Mattias. Her mother, on the other hand, is fairly one-dimensional; she's nothing more than a shallow aristocratic snob.

The ending of this rather short novel is somewhat of a surprise, yet heartwarming and sweet. Chiara finally makes her OWN choice, and it's entirely satisfying.

Chalon Linton's prose is always pleasing, and this book is clean. For the most part, it's also well-edited, although there were a few inaccurate words used. There was "plaited" instead of "plated", "wit" for "whit", and "alter" for "altar". That being said, I hope Linton pens more installments of this engaging series.

Thanks to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an ARC of this enjoyable tale.
