Wtf did I just read?! Those twists! That ending!! This book was dark and the story was unexpected but it was done so brilliantly! I loved it.
This was one that I really liked the sound of and was looking forward to reading it.
I found it fell short for me, the premise of the book sounded really good and had potential but I found some elements a tad far fetched, but I did like the supernatural elements of it and the end did redeem it for me.
Thankyou to NetGalley, publisher and the author for an ARC.
I thought this book would be a thriller, but it turnout that the book was a paranormal thriller. It was definitely not my genre and I did not finish reading this book.
This was different from other books I have read this year. it was kind of slow to start, but picked up and had a twist I didn't see coming. It was dark and creepy and I loved this.
I was a little confused with this story to begin with. Then I got it! I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either!
This was really different and got me really intrigued and I had to keep going to see what was going to happen.
I do like this author and really recommend her books.
I was given a free copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.
A unique thriller with a racing finish. This book starts strong but prepare for the twist - it changes pace so fast that it almost lost me, but something about it kept me reading and I'm SO glad I pushed through. I was so invested in the characters and couldn't wait to see how it ended. I literally couldn't put it down in the last few chapters!
Unfortunately, I ended up DNF'ing this book. I will try to pick it up again in the future to see if I can connect with the story but I just couldn't get into right now. The story was very slow paced and a bit weird at times - I usually like weird but this just didn't work for me.
I typically enjoy a fast paced, edge of your seat type thriller with shocking twists. I think that it's my personal preferences that kept me from enjoying this book, not the writing or story itself.
Thank you NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this book ahead of time in exchange for a review. It didn't disappoint! Must read!!
Interesting story. At times it felt like it was being dragged out. The main character is fleeing from her husband trying to start over but the cops won’t let her. They think she killed him. She gets into a car accident with her tenant and when she wakes up she’s in her body. How’s that possible?
An intriguing thriller with plenty of twists and turns that I thoroughly enjoyed! Will look for more from this author. 5 stars!
Thanks to #NetGalley and #StormPublishing I received a copy of Her by Jane Jesmond, in return for an honest review. #Her #NetGalley
This story focuses on two main characters, Lucy and Elizabeth. Lucy owns a mask shop, and Elizabeth is the lodger who lives upstairs. Their lives become entangled, and they have to help each other to survive the situation they have found themselves in.
This is a great thriller, full of suspense. I haven't read anything like this before, and was not expecting those twists. I honestly couldn't put it down.
What a powerful book! From the first page I was invested into the story and wanted to know more and more about it. Easy 5 stars. Would definitely recommend
A weird and creepy novel with a dreamlike atmosphere and a gripping plot. I don't want to talk about the plot and I think that anyone must read and judge because this is a very personal reading experience.
I liked it.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
What a gritty, unputdownable novel by Jane Jesmond.
2 women, 2 different lives but they become inextricably linked and neither one can do anything about it.
The blurb on the back is ambiguous for a reason, nothing should be given away because it's weird but in a really good way.
If you love psychological thrillers then pick up this book. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I had the biggest rant to my friends about this book because it sounded so promising and I was looking forward to it, but then went all wacky. I very nearly bailed on it, and I rarely bail on books. I’m glad I didn’t though. I wanted to see it through and it was sufficient to keep me intrigued. Rather fast paced in parts too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Netgalley for an advance copy of this book. Unfortunately I didn’t realise that the book was on “my shelf” waiting to be downloaded and so I have missed publication date.
However, I read the book in one go as I was totally hooked.
What happens to Lucy and her lodger Elizabeth stretches credibility and takes the book into the realms of “science fiction” but do not let this fact put you off reading the story as these two characters both of whom have suffered abuse are interesting. You find yourself rooting for them both despite the fact that they are being chased either by the police or by villains due to past crimes.
The story is well written and keeps you gripped throughout. I wish I had imagined this plot!
Thank you to Jane Jesmond and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book. Her is a true psychological thriller which keeps you glued to the action. There are so many twists and turns you never quite know who to believe- and that final chapter? Perfection!
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review. Oh wow! What a rollercoaster of a ride this book was! I didn’t realise it had a supernatural element when I started reading it but it fitted so well and really surprised me as this is not my usual genre. A fantastic thriller, edge of your seat, non stop action! Cannot recommend highly enough. 5 massive stars from me.
I loved this book. I found it entertaining, gripping and unusual. I think it had a slightly slow start and I did not think I was going to enjoy it as much as I did. Loved the characters and really enjoyed the way the plot unfolded. Highly recommend
