I thank NetGalley for receiving an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. Woah this book did not disappoint! I loved this so much!! At first I thought it had the vibes of Behind Her Eyes but this was sooo sooo much more! The adrenaline pumping my blood towards the end was so nerve-wracking and I could not stop reading it and knowing how it would end! The ending was also perfect, it was not rushed, it was not cheesy.. it was the best ending! I am so excited to read more books from the author!

This was so good. I spent the day home sick and I savored this book. It was full of unexpected things. It was sad and scary and just plain weird. I am so glad I read this.

A really unique psychological thriller with a great premise. I did find this a bit slow and sometimes a bit over descriptive and convoluted; however the actual storyline was really good and I loved the (almost) supernatural mix to this making a really intriguing story with loads of twists and turns I think a lot of people will like this especially if you love thrillers but want something new.

Lost and lonely Lucy is trying to pick up the broken pieces of her life, but no longer has the energy to carry them. She’s struggling with her mask shop, to connect with those around her, and staying clear from everything connecting her to her husband’s murder. It’s not until she’s out with one of her lodgers, Elizabeth, the two of them about to cross the street when the unthinkable happens—the pair get run over by a car.

And to make matters worse, Lucy awakens in Elizabeth’s body. She has no idea how it happened, only that the longer she stays in Elizabeth’s body the more it starts to obey her. And her own? Lying in a coma in the hospital. No hope of waking up. The idea starts to appeal to Lucy until she realizes just what kind of person she’s sharing a body with. Thief? Murderer? Just who is Elizabeth? Lucy has no choice but to find out..

I’m kind of sad to say that I didn’t like this book as much as I wanted to. The writing was a bit clunky. I felt at times that passages were overly filled with descriptions and it just made my pacing feel super slothy. As for the plot, I felt like it would’ve been better off if it was just about Lucy’s past/present predicaments, or just Elizabeth’s. It just didn’t really flow together that well for me. Lucy’s voice also fell flat and I really didn’t care too much for her character. I think maybe because I had a difficult time with the writing that I wasn’t able to connect with Lucy as much as I wanted to. So this disappointment really could be more on me and less on the author. I’d like to give the author another chance though, and many thanks to her publisher and to Netgalley for letting me read this.

Thank you for the opportunity to preview HER.
This was surprisingly a very good novel. Started out slow for me but I kept going and so glad I did.
A young woman, Lisa, is a widow and the events surrounding her husband’s death are coming back to her.
She is living a quiet life making her art but always wondering when the police will return with questions.
Lisa lives in a home that includes her gallery and she has a border named Elizabeth. Lisa is going about her life but she is very sad and wants to escape her fears.
An accident put Lisa and Elizabeth in the hospital but what happens next will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Loved this book. A hit and 5 stars for me.

A different kind of thriller with two interesting female characters with a past that haunts them. The style is very agile and the reading is tremendously enjoyable and keeps you in the story from beginning to end with a plot full of unexpected twists and a touch of science fiction that will hook you.

This definitely took a turn I wasn't expecting and was really different, I'll give it that. That said, this was just okay for me. The characters were interesting to a point but also had a dullness to them at the same time. The backstory of each woman worked but the dialogue throughout was a little too proper and seemed unrealistic that people speak like that in real life. The writing was good but wasn't exactly thrilling, dying to find out what happens. Overall, this was just another okay read. Three Stars.

Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing for this ARC.

A super thrilling and twisty story. A young widow is fleeing her old life and the gossip of her community. She takes in a lodger and strange things happen. What is really going on? I was happily surprised by the twists and eo not want to say more, If you like twisty thrillers, this is for you!#Stormpublishing

Overall a great read. Full of twists and suspense. The tension is palpable. Has a bit of a science fictiony feel to it and some of the twists required suspending belief. But I read it in one sitting and was totally immersed. Will check out other work by this author. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an opportunity to read this.

What can I say about this book, except wow??!!
I thought I knew what was happening in this book, but I was so wrong, I literally had NO idea what was going on.
It had such a unique plot that I have not seen before and I was sucked in.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a book that has a freaky Friday vibe but as a psychological thriller.
This book had suspense, drama, deceit and betrayal.
There were so many twists in this book I felt like I was getting whiplash at some points.
I really enjoyed this book and will recommend to everyone.
Thankyou again

this has what I was looking for in a psychological thriller, it had a unique concept that worked overall. I enjoyed how good the characters were written and how they worked in the universe. Jane Jesmond has a great writing style and I'm hooked for more from her.

"Elizabeth was here, too. Inside her own body. Inside her own head. Controlling every action her body took. I was simply an observer. A passenger. Everything I thought I’d done since waking up in hospital had been done by Elizabeth. Elizabeth had come home from hospital. Elizabeth had gone running. Elizabeth had gone out last night, picked up Pete and stolen his wallet. How had I not known?"

For once, the claim is true - this is un-put-downable! The author has a really descriptive writing style which will draw you in and fully immerse you in the plot. The protagonist is an interesting narrator who I am not sure about, but I certainly wanted to know what happened to her.
