I love all Mia Sheridan’s books. This one about a marriage of convenience fell a little flat for me, even though I still thought it was good. It was just different from what I’m used to reading from her. It’s always hard for me to warm up to the male main character in a story when he starts out being cruel. Also, the lead female character, Kyra, seemed over the top naïve. Side note: I didn’t love the pet names, though I can see how they came to play later in the story.
I still enjoyed this book. I wish the characters had the depth we usually get from Ms. Sheridan’s books.
3.5/5 Stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, Bloom Books for this complimentary ARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Mia Sheridan has been on my reading list for ages, so when I got my hands on an ARC of Grayson's Vow, I was excited to dive in. I love a good grump-sunshine, marriage of convenience romance, but unfortunately, this book didn't quite live up to my expectations.
While the story started off strong, I found myself disappointed as it progressed. The use of pet names like "the dragon" and "little witch" made me cringe, and I didn't understand why the male lead was so mean to the female lead without any explanation. The characters lacked depth, and their goodness felt almost too perfect to be real. Personally, I prefer flawed characters with more complexity, and Grayson's Vow didn't quite deliver in that regard.
All that being said, if you're in the mood for a straightforward, feel-good story, Grayson's Vow might be the book for you. It has a charming premise, and if you're a fan of the grump-sunshine trope, you might enjoy it more than I did. But if you're looking for a more nuanced, complex story, you might want to look elsewhere.

Dnf @ 38%
Unfortunately, I stopped reading this one at 38%, which was such a shame, as like many others, I loved Archer's voice.
I just couldn't click with Grayson and Kira. I couldn't get behind their marriage of convenience - it almost felt too convenient?
Kira got on my nerves, sunshine but a doormat.
Also, I think I checked out after being introduced to Walter & Charlotte. My pet peeve as a British reader is American authors making British characters say super obnoxious things that Brits don't say. (Serious eye roll at "Walter Popplewell was from Wandsworth - a proper English gentleman in all respects. Have y'all been to Wandsworth???)
Thank you to Mia Sheridan, Bloom Books and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Thank you, Sourcebooks for an advanced copy of Grayson's Vow! I was excited to read a book by Mia Sheridan.
Kira Dallaire needs money. She no longer wants to rely on her abusive father and wants nothing to do with her ex-fiancée. In a moment of desperation, she gets a hair-brained idea to marry Grayson Hawthorne.
Grayson Hawthorne is a convicted felon, and is in dire straits. He made a vow to resurrect his family's winery to its former glory, and with no help, it looks like he will fail. That is until he meets Kira Dallaire.
A business marriage. Kira needs to get married to access her trust fund from her departed grandmother. With it, she will be out from under her father's thumb, and Grayson can fulfill his vow.
This book started very strong. It was fast-paced and got to the plot quickly. This is a classic grumpy x sunshine trope.
The banter is fun and quippy.
However, that is about all I liked.
I don't understand what Grayson liked about Kira. At first, he thinks very little of Kira but wants to sleep with her and then wants to date her. I don't get it. Nothing happened differently between any of those different emotions. Also, he was obsessed with sleeping with her.
It was so icky. I felt like I was reading the inner thoughts of a frat boy.
Kira was just TOO good. TOO nice. It is so unbelievable. She has no money, and no home. Nothing, but she wants money to give to charity? Give me a break. Additionally, Kira is extremely childish. I found myself rolling my eyes at all of her antics. Threatening to break a wine bottle that is not yours because Grayson has your paper? Really?
Finally, Grayson is terrible to Kira. Instead of communicating, he lashes out at Kira for everything. He doesn't listen and thinks he knows everything. Also, Grayson has a drinking problem. If anything went wrong, he hit the bottle. He's emotionally abusive to Kira, and she forgives him.
Finally, what was with the housekeeper roofing Grayson when Kira was sick? What is that? It was odd and cringe..

Grayson's Vow by Mia Sheridan is a marriage of convenience, stand-alone romance. Kira comes from money but she is estranged from her father and she will have to live out of her car if she does not get some money soon. Grayson has been out of prison for a year and hes trying to run his family's vineyard but the bank will not approve him for a loan. Kira has an inheritance from her grandmother but in order to get the money, she must be married. Grayson Hawthorn is a name she is familiar with so when she sees him at the bank, she offers him half her money for a marriage of convenience. Grayson only sees Kira as a spoiled rich girl whose daddy cut her off. He has a lot of judgements and assumptions about her that he does not care to change even if they aren't true. Grayson's stepmother was outwardly similar to Kira so I see why he made those assumptions but Kira could have easily made assumptions about him since he's a felon but she didn't. She knows about his past but does not judge him for it. Grayson has had an extremely rough past and a traumatizing childhood. He has major trust issues and does not let anyone in. I tried to keep this in mind while reading but it got to a point where I could not excuse his behavior anymore. He wanted a purely physical relationship with Kira (mostly out of convenience) but Kira resisted because she knew she would develop feelings. Grayson kept pushing her through even when she told him no. This combined with how hot and cold he was towards her was so frustrating. They could never have conversations about their complicated relationship because he would just kiss her even when it was uncalled for. Around the 80% mark they finally got back together after another fight and it was bliss for a while until things blew up again. This book has a lot of drama and complicated feelings. It is understandable considering how both characters grew up but unfortunately I was over it really quickly. There are some sweet moments and found family which helped the book some but those were the only redeemable qualities.

Thank you Netgalley and Mia Sheridan for the ebook. If you like:
• marriage of convenience

then this is the book for you. I’m a huge fan of Mia Sheridan but I have to say I didn’t love this one. Let me start with the pros: I really liked Kira. I always admire people (real or fictional) who can turn their hurt into grit and compassion. I also adored the way Charlotte and Walter loved and nurtured Grayson. Walter’s conversation with Grayson at the end of the book made me tear up.
What I didn’t like: I found the first third of the book kind of boring. That’s not usually the case with Mia’s books so I’m not sure why it didn’t work for me. And sadly I wasn’t a Grayson fan. He had every reason to be angry with the world and to be distrustful but I wish the people who cared about him would have held him accountable for being a jerk. He behaves really badly at times and doesn’t really get called on it.
Overall it was only really 3.5⭐️ for me. However, I will absolutely continue to read Mia Sheridan books because she’s darn talented.

“You bring me peace, little witch, and you put a fire in my blood.”
Grayson and Kira start their love story with a marriage of convenience and no real personal knowledge of the other person. Kira is homeless and in need of money. She does have a trust fund but she can only access it after she turns 30 or if she is to marry someone first. After she eavesdrops on a conversation Grayson has at the bank where he is denied a loan, she decides to come to him with an idea. She proposes the idea of marriage, she’ll give him half of her trust in exchange for him to marry her for one year. Grayson is in a rough spot, recently out of prison and now trying to keep his late father’s dying winery afloat. When Kira proposes her idea of marriage, he decides that as crazy as the idea might be, it’s his best option if he wants to save the winery.
So they marry each other and the fun really begins. I loved the constant bickering with the two characters. Charlotte and Walter’s meddling with them, always made me smile. The scene when Charlotte tells Grayson she gave him her “simple herbal concoction” without asking just to “get the blood flowing”, I couldn’t control the tears of laughter. 🤣
This story had great depth and both characters, Grayson especially, go through their own insecurities with their feelings for one another. Mia Sheridan knows how to write a great book. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review of the book.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this arc . Mia Sheridan is one of my favorite authors so I was so excited to receive the arc ! I thought this story was cute and well written and I am so happy I read it . I love the marriage of convenience vibes

My review of
Grayson's vow by Mia Sheridan
⭐⭐⭐
This is my 3rd Mia Sheridan book, I didn't like the whole calling each other Dragon and Witch thing, I thought it was very annoying and childish. Aldo the book was fine, there were times I enjoyed reading it, I love Charlotte and Walter so much. it felt like it missed something, there was a very slow character development and I had a hard time caring about the main characters. A big part of that is calling each other Dragon/Witch & hurt each other on purpose. The ending felt very rushed too, I wish we had more time with Grayson being happy and explaining his feelings, that they would have more time as a happy couple.

I went into this book knowing what to expect from a Mia Sheridan novel, and it delivered. It was a sweet tale of romance, combined with expected events and over the top events. I could have done without the frequent "witch" "dragon" names, but I was happy for Kira and Grayson in the end. I think she message in this story was very sweet, and did enjoy the second chance aspect of it. Was it a page turning, literary masterpiece? No, but it was a quick, enjoyable story that had me rooting for them and crying happy tears by the end.

A fairytale come true.
This is a superbly written tale of two hearts becoming one despite the many reasons they've had to be apart.
Kira and Grayson will melt your heart in this totally addictive story.
Things haven't come easy for either one of them before they met nor would they be easy in the time after.
This painstakingly beautiful book will keep you flipping pages to find out what happens next with the Witch and her Dragon.
A must read!
5stars

I quite could possibly read Mia’s shopping list, there’s just something about her writing and her navigation of a relationship. Kira and Grayson are no exception. I loved the initial interaction, the evolution, and development of their relationship and interaction. There’s just something about marriage of convenience that just does it for me. Add in dislike to love trope and you have the perfect combination. My only problem (if you even call it a problem) was the “dragon” and “little witch” names, however by the end and the story wrapt up with the names, had me sold. What was an initial ick turned into an awww. Grayson’s reactions towards Kira going from zero to one hundred in seconds in those intense parts, broke my heart. However, it all wrapped up perfectly and the evolution of characters and relationships was so intriguing to read.

I just don’t think Mia Sheridan’s writing style is for me. I thought More Than Words was a 3-3.5 star book, so I thought I’d give Grayson’s Vow a chance. But I couldn’t stand the writing style (immature), and I just didn’t like the characters. That paired with a storyline where childhood trauma is supposed to excuse abusive behavior led me to say, “no thank you,” and I will not be reading any more Mia Sheridan books.

Thank you NetGalley and Mia Sheridan for letting me read Grayson’s Vow.
Marriage of convenience. The characters Grayson and Kira both had something they had to overcome and do so together. It was a bit too long and some part predictable. The story has an fairytale-like mix to it. Overall I enjoyed this book.

This book was very cute and I definitely cried a few times. This is a marriage of convenience I'm which the mmc agrees to marry the fmc so she can access her money from her gram's will. They then agree to split the money once she has it and go on their separate ways.
I really enjoyed the dynamics of the characters and the found family aspect that we got to see. One thing I've noticed with Mia's books is that often times there can be large portions of inner monologue that can sometimes drone on.
SPOILER: additionally, I've noticed a lot of her books ends in a third act break up which I'm not a huge fan of, but this book was still a good read!

My second read by Sheridan and I look forward to reading lots more!
There’s nothing on earth like the feel of someone who loves you grasping for your hand in the dark when you’re lost and afraid.”
If you’re looking for an emotional story built around characters with troubled pasts that touches your heart Grayson’s Vow is for you.
I loved the roller coaster of emotions, the steam, and for me there is always something so beautiful about stories set on a vineyard. Definitely would recommend.

It's been awhile since I have picked up a Mia Sheridan book for some reason but I was really happy my next read was Greyson's Vow. This book was breath-taking. Mia has such a way of getting you sucked into the story where you cannot put the book down. I was smiling, my heart hurt, and I felt upset while reading. You really feel all the emotions which makes this one of the best books. I would 100 percent recommend this book to everyone.

for me, this book was a hit and a miss. I thought the characters had well developed back stories, and I liked the vineyard setting in Napa. the marriage of convenience plot was aided by the forced proximity. that being said, I did not really feel the connection between Kira and Grayson. their love realizations came a bit out of the blue in my opinion. I am not a fan of third act breakups, and the fact that this one came because of withheld information was frustrating. just communicate! I also thought the nicknames (dragon, witch) were a little weird and not fitting for terms of endearment. the side character were lovable though. 3 stars.

DNF because I cannot deal with this man any longer. He’s way too rude for my liking, and I absolutely despise men in romance books who immediately label the fmc as a “spoiled rich brat” without even getting to know them.

Grayson’s Vow
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. There were some good parts of this book and it definitely highlights how great a found family can be. There are a million tropes: forced proximity, fake marriage, etc. This was a quick read, but it didn’t keep me super engaged. There were some graphic animal abuse descriptions that I couldn’t get past.
