Another amazing read from Mia Sheridan. A forced- proximity, enemies to lovers story, with a HEA. The only reason for a lost star is that the MMC annoyed me at some points with over reactions, but otherwise it is a humorous, easy to read story.

I thought this was okay. The beginning was good, but it ended up being way too long for me that parts needed to be cut. I just got bored. Kira daughter of a mayor and Grayson who is also an ex-felon, but now runs his families failing winery, get in a marriage of convenience for benefits needed for both mutual parties. It was sad to see how Kira was treated by her father in some of the scenes. This didn't tug at my heart as I thought it would.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Such a good read. My soft spot for damaged goods is real lol

Grayson has had an awful relationship with his dad, and his upbringing was heartbreaking.
His current state just isn't the greatest either.
Kira is also battling trials with her own dad.

Both in tight spots.
Both headstrong and defiant.
Their inner monologe eludes to lots more deeper things though.

I love seeing this story pan out and learn about the beautiful vineyard. It also had a couple phenomenal side characters.

Mia Sheridan does it again!!!! I always love her books! I was super happy with how quickly you get right into the story with this book! I love the fire and passion Grayson and Kira bring out into each other and loved the dual POV. I really loved the drama and characters! Mia Sheridan has a way of combining heart wrenching and heart melting moments all in one book. I was also so happy to get a little sneak peak of becoming Calder that she will be releasing in the future which of course I will need to buy immediately!

I’ve loved most of Mia Sheridan’s books, so I was really excited to read Grayson’s Vow, especially since it has two of my favourite tropes: marriage of convenience & grumpy/sunshine.

While I didn’t love this book as much as Archer’s Voice or Kyland, it was still an enjoyable, fast read that kept me wanting to know what would happen next! I especially loved the winery setting.

Grayson was my main issue with this book. He was not an easy character to root for, especially with how he treated Kira. I loved Kira’s character and thought she deserved better than Grayson.

Kira Dallaire is desperate. She must get married, and fast, to access the inheritance her late grandmother left her. Otherwise, she'll find herself at the mercy of her wealthy, abusive father. With little money and even fewer options, she uses her quick wit and impulsive heart to come up with a plan…

I LOVED Archer’s Voice so I had to request this one! A bit into the story and you just know there is more to Kira than you originally think. Grayson has had a troubled past that caused him to build up some heavy walls. I absolutely adored Charlotte, Grayson’s housekeeper. She was the best!

I thought the storyline was interesting - I kept waiting for that moment that I knew they would be busted! My only complaint was the pet names. Grayson “dragon” and Kira “little witch”, and just felt overused. Overall, sweet story and a fun summer read!

Archer’s Voice is still my favorite! Recently found the next book, Travis, on Kindle Unlimited and can’t wait to read that soon!

Review: Grayson’s Vow - Mia Sheridan

I was very lucky to receive this as an ARC and have only just got to read it due to University commitments.

Kira Dallaire is desperate. She must get married, and fast, to access the inheritance her late grandmother left her. Otherwise, she'll find herself at the mercy of her wealthy, abusive father. With little money and even fewer options, she uses her quick wit and impulsive heart to come up with a plan. Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope. A convicted felon with limited capital and dwindling resources, his vow to resurrect his family's struggling vineyard seems destined to fail. That is, until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish proposal-a win-win business marriage he can't refuse. But what begins as a temporary arrangement soon threatens to become more, as vibrant, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself. As their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, the two realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb, and lies and deception rarely precede a happily ever after. A marriage-of-convenience spicy standalone romance from the New York Times bestselling author of Archer's Voice.

🍇 Marriage for Convenience
🍇 Enemies to Lovers
🍇 Forced Proximtiy

This book had me hooked from the beginning!! I could not put it down!! I loved the storyline of this book being based in a Napa winery!!

I loved Grayson and Kira’s characters in this book!! I loved how in the moment Kira’s character is and the Grayson started to really open up to her. I especially loved their nicknames for each other of “witch” and “dragon”.

I definitely recommend reading this book! I cannot wait to read another of Mia’s books shortly!

Love is messy, fun, scary, exhilarating, and confusing. Through the lens of Kira and Grayson, Mia Sheridan encompass all the facets of true love and the journey that takes us there. This is not your typical love story...but so much more! This was my first book by her and I love how she was able to paint such a vivid portrait of all the emotions that come with figuring out and falling in love and I felt every single one!

A marriage of convenience and a business deal between Kira and Grayson leads to situations where they both have to deal with their past and decide what they both truly want. They both need money, and marriage will grant them an inheritance to split. A quick divorce will let them walk away with what they both want. But is walking away really what they want, though? Kira's hesitant about letting Grayson in, and keeps secrets to protect herself. Grayson is a brooding winemaker with a history of jail time, and they both have horrible fathers that cause them both to have trust issues. The story kept going and I was invested in the outcome, rooting for the love story to win!

What I loved - the story! I mean, the ugly truth turned beautiful is a story line I will never tire of!

What I didn't love - I struggled with Grayson. Ugh...he's such an @$$ Stop being a victim and start making good decisions without thinking everyone is out to get you. Also, how he talked about Kira during the love scenes made me laugh out loud! Who talks like that in the moment?!

Overall, I give this book 4 stars!

Thank you NetGalley and SourceBooks Bloom Books for the ARC of this novel!

Yet another beautiful story of healing and hope from Mia Sheridan! Grayson's vow combines gritty realism with fairy tale ethos in this opposites attract, marriage of convivence story that is brimming with heartfelt emotion. Kira is such a loving and effervescent heroine. I adored her- she's easy to love and root for. Despite all she's been through, she brings so much light to those around her, is generous and kind and joyful. Grayson, on the other hand, is a slowburn kind of hero- he takes a while to unpack, which means he takes a minute to warm up to. He's grumpy and bitter, distrustful and emotionally restrained. But he's had so many obstacles that it's understandable how his heart has been heavy from it all. But when he finds himself in a important and unexpected marital arrangement with a stranger, one so opposite of him, she ignites some fire in him that jolts his carefully guarded ornery persona. The push-pull is delectable, the chemistry dynamic, and I loved how falling together helped them both grow. It's emotionally rich from start to finish- another example of Mia Sheridan's authorial finesse when it comes to deconstructing the human heart so beautifully on page.

I wanted to love this book so much. I absolutely loved Stinger and thought this might be a long the same lines as far as speed/plot/etc. As much as I wanted to love the characters and story, I just felt that it was dragging throughout most of the book. I could understand where both protagonists would show growth throughout their journey, both as individuals and together, but it felt like it just took too long to get there. Even towards the end the things that did happen didn't feel like it was enough to keep me engaged with the story.

Mia Sheridan really knows how to pull on the heartstrings. Grayson’s Vow is an absolutely beautiful, emotional, and captivating read. It tells the story of two damaged individuals, Grayson Hawthorn and Kira Dallaire, who enter into a marriage of convenience that ultimately blossoms into a passionate love story. Grayson is an ex-con trying to save his family vineyard while Kira is seeking independence from her wealthy and abusive father. Though their arrangement is purely transactional at first, the two soon find themselves drawn to each other despite their prickly exteriors and troubled pasts.
Grayson has a heartbreaking past that has shaped him into a bitter and untrusting man, while Kira remains optimistic and kind-hearted despite her own painful history.

Kira is definitely one of my favorite heroine. I love how fiercely independent, yet selfless and gentle she was. Although Grayson was very abrasive and off putting at first, I couldn't help but also love him. Watching the two fall in love and helping each other heal made my heart so happy. I truly couldn’t put this book down because it was just so beautifully written and perfect. I just know that Grayson and Kira’s story will be one that sticks with me for a very long time. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Okay first off I have to start by saying I have not read a book by @miasheridanauthor that I didn’t love.❤️ I received an arc of Grayson Vow from @read_bloom @netgalley and I absolutely loved it.
- [ ] Enemies to lovers
- [ ] Fake marriage
- [ ] Forced proximity
- [ ] Found family

Grayson was just released from prison so he’s a felon. He is trying to save his winery that his father left him but is finding it hard to salvage with being able to secure a loan.

Kira finds herself in a predicament as well she is homeless and penniless. She has a trust but must marry in order to obtain that trust. She’s at the bank and overheard Grayson situation. She decides in order to solve her dilemma and his she will propose a business offer.

The whole vibe between these two is hilarious. They both have made their own premade assumptions about the other. Grayson is a curmudgeon. Kira refers to him as the Dragon 🐉. Kira is a strong willed women that has endured so much that she has learn to stand up and fight back. Grayson refers to her as The little witch.

“Wait, were you uncomfortable because…you find me…appealing, little witch?”

“I nodded curtly and started to walk away, narrowing my eyes when I heard her humming. I turned back and walked toward her. “Are you humming ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’?”

This is a fun book about two people in a bind with many similarities. The evolution of their relationship is 😍

I highly recommend this book.

I wanted to like this book. I have never read Mia Sheridan before although I had Archer’s Vow on my TBR because of all of the praise. But this book did not do it for me.
I was interested at first in Kira and Grayson, but when I got further into the book the plot just seemed like a B-grade Hallmark movie type with horrible actors. Grayson is made out to be an overall good guy in the beginning when we see that he gives his last change to a homeless man when no one is watching, but then as I got further into the book I realized that Grayson is a royal douchebag with daddy issues. I waited for him to redeem himself, but something would happen and he’d do something even more douchey, and Kira would come back. And a bit too quickly IMHO. He was mentally abusive, and it takes more than an apology and some pretty words to recover from verbal and emotional abuse. I thought Kira deserved better.
Kira to me seemed like a bit of a doormat, despite her character being written as strong and confident at first. I also found her character boring at times, like she was too good. She’s basically a saint.
I like a good fake relationship trope, but for me this one just fell short.

Grayson's Vow by Mia Sheridan was an ok read for me that I really wanted to love. There's no question that I really enjoy this author's writing and she definitely has some books that I have loved. The first 40% of this book I was enjoying but Grayson was a jerk with Daddy issues which was annoying to me since he is almost 30 years old. In my opinion there is nothing attractive about a man who plays the victim. Yes, his upbringing was terrible but so was Kira's, but you didn't see her going around feeling sorry for herself. She held her head high and came up with a plan. I like Kira a lot more than Grayson, but I did wish she had a backbone when it came to her father and Cooper although her little plan at the end while OTT ridiculous Cooper definitely got his due. Now when it came to the relationship, I felt it was bland especially since the majority of the book they ran hot and cold with each other and by the 60% mark I was already done with the story. I was bored and found their interactions tedious. Overall, while this one didn't work for me, I do look forward to reading more books from this author.

I always enjoy Moa Sheridan. This was no different. Two broken people and a lot of childhood trauma comes up on this story. I could have done without the witch/dragon knicknames. They were cute until they were overused. Grayson's character was very well developed and Kira was a perfect match for him.

Grayson's Vow is the third novel I've read from Mia Sheridan and it was another winner for me.

Grayson is a convicted felon who is now out of prison and trying to rebuild the winery his dad left him. Because of his criminal past, however, he is unable to secure a loan. Grayson had a rocky relationship with his father who basically rejected him and he has also major trust issues. He's very guarded and has put up emotional walls to protect himself from getting hurt. At first he comes across as arrogant and broody, but I fell for Grayson as soon as we see him give money to a homeless man right after learning that he himself is struggling financially. There's obviously a kind heart under that moody exterior.

Kira was easy to like right away. She also comes from a messy abusive family situation that ought to be dragging her down, but somehow she still manages to be the picture of positivity and free-spiritedness. Kira is an heiress but is locked in a battle with her controlling father because she isn't allowed to access the money until she's married. Determined to break free from him, when she overhears Grayson being rejected for a loan, she approaches him with an offer. Marry her so she can access her inheritance and she'll split it with him. I admired Kira's strength and determination and enjoyed watching her persuade Grayson to go along with her plan.

I enjoy Sheridan's writing because she always creates such multi-dimensional characters and she succeeded in this area with Kira and Grayson as well. Both characters have so many layers and I loved watching them as they grew closer and started letting their guard down with one another. I also really enjoyed the angsty element of the story as each character realizes they have feelings for the other but assume those feelings couldn't possibly be reciprocated. In addition to the angst, there's also a bit of humor and loads of sarcastic banter since Kira and Grayson actually start off not liking each other very much at all. That blend of humor and angst made for a nicely balance read for me.

I had one little quibble with the story and that was the use of the dragon/witch metaphors. Grayson thinks of Kira as a little witch, and she thinks of him as a dragon, describing him as reptilian, etc. every time she gets mad at him. It was funny and cute at first, but then it just felt overused, although I did love what the author did with it at the end. I'm sure other readers will absolutely love, but I just tend to get annoyed by anything repetitive. Totally a me thing.

All in all, this was still a wonderfully engaging read and I look forward to reading more from Sheridan. Archer's Voice is still my favorite, but this one is a close second.

Thank you Netgalley and Bloom publishing for the ARC before the re-release. Overall it was an enjoyable book but I found it hard at times to feel the chemistry between Kira and Grayson. I found their connection a bit insta-lovey which I am not the biggest fan of. I am a huge fan of Mia Sheridan but unfortunately this was not one of my favorites but I would still recommend if you enjoy a marriage of convenience story.

good romance about a fake marriage and getting money. I loved the heat and the romance and the different point of views. I enjoyed their nicknames for each other from witch to dragon. I loved that it had found family and making choices.

Mia Sheridan is a romance goddess! she has blessed us again!

I really loved it. The winery. The enemies to lovers. The dragon and the little witch. Mia Sheridan got me to love this so much. I didn’t like the things that Grayson said to her towards the end because they were real, raw, and happens in every day life fights with loved ones mainly because they know how to cut deep. Be warned there is trigger warnings: child loss, mental and physical abuse, and others.
