Daily doses of sheer wonder. This is a superlative devotional full of incredible and wondrous facts about God’s creations for adults and older children alike. It is beautifully written by former ABC Science News Editor, Michael Guillen who loves the Creator. Reading a few of the daily entries made my heart happy and my mind full of wonder. What’s more, I loved how the author so cleverly linked the snippets about nature to biblical truths.

For sure, will consider getting a hard copy of this devotional for myself.

5 stars.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The cover is beautiful and caught my eye, especially as devotionals are not usually something I pick up.
Throughout the book, the author connects God and science though I was concerned that worldly science theories are brought up through the book. The author also uses the Message transliteration in some portions as well as multiple actual translations. Just would be nice for consistency to keep with either thought for thought, word for word, or transliterations. Maybe that's just a preference. If you hold to a young earth creationist view, this book might not be for you.

I love this book. We know so little about the intricacies of creation, and we need a book like this to make us marvel and believe. Scripture tells us all creation declares God’s glory, but we need educated experts to hold up the magnifying glass and help us see what we’re missing. Dr. Guillen does this for us. His science is on point and interesting (not so many details that we are bored or overwhelmed), yet enough to make us say “Wow, what a God!”

I plan to order a copy (probably more than one) for my friends who think science and faith can’t coexist. We don’t have to check our brains at the door to believe in God — creation proves this, and so does Dr. Guillen. It is my prayer that those who don’t believe in the God of creation will come to believe through reading this book, and those who do believe will be further convinced of God's breadth, depth, and height.

I love a good science based based devotional to read in the mornings with my kids. This one is pretty good. I sometimes find the science and the Bible verse don't seem to line up smoothly but overall we are enjoying it.

This is a beautiful book that ties information we have learned from science about our wonderful world to God and the Bible. This would work well as a gift for any Christian with an interest in nature. It also would be great as a family devotion book with elementary or older children.
I highly recommend as a devotional for any Christian who would like to learn more about our natural world. \

When I requested this book, I expected a simple, peaceful, love life affirming read. I do apologize for this review, but I began to not look forward to reading each passage that came next. At most times did not feel the co- relation between the introductory story and the biblical passage at the end of each new thought. I thank NetGalley and Tyndale House Publishers for the advance read.

Overall a very beautiful book about God's creation. I loved the descriptions and how it correlates to Faith.
My only complaint is some days devotions talks about the long ages of the earth and the different periods of dinosaurs, but my beliefs align with a young earth.
