As a young mom who can often get stuck in the different feelings and anxieties that motherhood brings, this is the perfect book for me. Written by others who have been in the trenches of motherhood and made it through, the short reflections followed by prayer, all interlaced with scripture, help me to speak the gospel to my heart. The fact that this isn't a book to sit down and read through all at once takes the pressure off other young moms, who can reach for this book whenever they need a reminder of God's love for them and their children. I appreciate the index at the back with reference to different situations a mom might find herself in. Thank you to Tyndale and Midnight Mom for the chance to review this!

Sometimes we mommas are a little anxious. Sometimes we are worried a lot. Then other times we are desperate in our stressful situations! God can use this book to address our midnight prayers, crying out for help. The authors use Scripture, examples and Biblical assurances to not give up, to have hope. For example, we are reminded to not be so hard on ourselves. I Corinthians says, "Love...keeps no record of wrongs." While we can forgive others, we might not give grace and patience to ourselves! When our thoughts race into tomorrow instead of sleeping, we can be reminded that in Romans 8:28 it says, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." We can consider that this book is another way God answers our prayers for help!
