Book #2 in the Sally Fairburn series continues the excellent reading experience found in book #1. Everyone thought Sally's neighbor was crying wolf until her body was found. With far more questions than answers, Sally will face the consequences of her actions that place her family in jeopardy.

Next girl missing, Her deadly truth and First victim are part of the Sally Fairburn series. I read them together, so I will review them together. This really was a thrilling series, one book flowing into the next and keeping the reader entertained, captivated and thrilled from book 1 to 3! Highly recommended.

How would you react if your neighbor Carolyn claimed that her husband was slowly killing her? Would you believe her, support her, and call the police? Or would you, like the other people in her life, be convinced that she was imagining things and therefore completely wrong?

But of course, remorse comes after the sin, and when Carolyn’s life actually comes to an abrupt end, Sally feels deeply guilty. The only thing she can do now is go all in to seek justice for Carolyn and unmask the perpetrator.

Sally is like a pit bull. Once she sinks her teeth into something, she doesn’t let go until she’s explored every possible angle. But that’s not the only thing on her mind. There’s also someone from her past clinging to her like a barnacle to a ship.

This means she has to stay alert at all times and keep eyes in the back of her head to protect the people closest to her heart.

This is a thrilling story that often had me on the edge of my seat—and I even caught myself glancing over my shoulder now and then just to be sure no one was standing behind me. :)

It was quite creepy at times, and my list of suspects gradually got shorter until I was left with just three. But who, oh who, of the three was it?

I was disappointed when the book ended, because I could easily have spent more time in Sally’s company. 5 stars.

I couldn’t put this one down! I don’t know where to begin with this thriller thrill ride… Twists and turns and surprises to keep you on the edge of your seat.

In this follow-up, the stakes are higher, and the suspense is even more intense. The protagonist’s character continues to develop, offering readers a deeper connection as she navigates another harrowing investigation. The plot is tightly woven with unexpected revelations, making this sequel a must-read for fans of the series who crave more action and suspense.

For Sally being an ex-cop and an ex-victim advocate, she makes some questionable decisions, but her intentions are good.

One murder turns into multiple murders in this one and as Sally continues to heal, she works tirelessly to protect others and stop a killer. It's fast paced and the tension is over the top. I like Sally, Paul and Marge and the storyline kept me guessing. I wasn't sure where this one was going, but the action scenes where the women were in peril really got under my skin.

I really enjoyed this one.

I loveeeee the Sally Fairburn series and I cannot wait for more of them. I saw another review that said they're fun like a cozy mystery but have a little more oomph! It's so true!!! This series is THE BEST!

Wow I stayed up late into the night reading this book and read it in a few short hours. It's electric and tension filled edge of your seat reading.

After reading the first book - I quickly started the next and found it just as enjoyable, easy to read and full of shocking twists, it kept me guessing to the end.
I am really interested to see how sally develops and I would love to see her ex husband get his comeuppance!

This is the second book in the series. This book was non stop. I had a hard time putting it down. I recommend you read the first book so you get a better understanding of the characters.

I am really enjoying this series, ex victim’s advocate Sally Fairburn has been through a lot and is determined to keep her son Paul safe, she is now working in a book store and café and enjoying it.
When her neighbour Carolyn Tate asks her for help saying that her husband is trying to poison her Sally is reluctant to offer her help but when Carolyn is dead a couple of days later Sally is now determined to get to the truth of what happened to her.

Sally starts her investigation and this put her and her son in grave danger she also has to contend with phone calls and notes and flowers from Richard Foster the serial killer she helped to put behind bars which means it is very stressful in the Fairburn house. Will she be able to keep herself and Paul safe and will she get her answers and find the killer?

This one has many twists and turns and had me guessing till the very end, Sally does put herself in some very dangerous situations that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. It is another great story in this series and I am very much looking forward to the next one, is Sally still in danger?

I do highly recommend this one to reader who loves a good mystery.

WoW the second book that followed the first book in this excellent series

Her Deadly Truth by L.A. Larkinby L.A. Larkin is the second book in the new and exciting Sally Fairburn Crime Thriller series and I loved it. This book within this series was no different. Once I started to read it I could not put it down especially as it was a great holiday read. So if you enjoy reading crime thrillers and are a police procedural lover, this is a new series for you.

Book 2 definitely picked up pace and had some brilliant twists and turns. The development of her sons character is becoming interesting and I look forward to seeing where that by story line goes.

I do recommend #1 be read first as this one has many spoilers for the first book, Next Girl Missing. Recommended to fans of crime thrillers.

This is even better than the first in this series: tense, fast paced, and gripping. It moved me and kept me on the edge.
Sally's character is growing and I'm liking her.
