Now I did not know that this book is part of a series but it makes a lot of sense. Honestly I believe that you can read this as a standalone but I think it would probably be more impactful having read the others that came before it. That being said it is well written with a world that makes sense and a mystery that I really enjoyed trying to solve.
Our mystery follows Leyla as murder takes place practically on her doorstep. With two brothers on the police force she knows crime is at an all time high in her small little beach town but she never expected it to hit so close to home. There is an undercover FBI agent Sean who is less than welcoming with Leyla but the more time they spend together the more tangled in all of this she becomes. I will definitely be reading more from this author. Anyone who is looking for a great female centered mystery I believe you will really enjoy this series.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a mystery thriller that is an easy vacation read. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story!

This was my first Laura Griffin's book. This is the fourth book in the Texas Murder Files series, a romantic suspense. Leyla and Sean's story is suspenseful and entertaining, filled with intrigue, twists and turns, and romance. Teri Clark Linden did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley, a Dreamscape Media Audio production, for an honest review. Looking forward to listening to the previous books in the series.

I just couldn’t connect with the characters. Maybe because this is book 4 of the series. If I was more invested in their backstory maybe I would have enjoyed this more?

This book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone, which is how I began. I would classify it as a romantic suspense and I enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters. The female MC is strong willed & determined to keep growing her business despite finding one of her employees being murdered on the property. As the story develops and through the process of the crime being solved, she becomes involved with one of the officers working the case. This book is fast paced & a fun quick read!

DNF at 22%. I could not connect to any character and felt I was wasting my time. When they started discussing Tex Mex like it was a remarkable thing, I was out.
Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and author Laura Griffin for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was the 4th book in Laura Griffin's Texas Murder Files. I hadn't read the other books in the series and was still able to enjoy this one, but I did feel like I was missing a little of the back story on the different characters. It is a fun mystery romance but it fell a little flat for me. It need a little more of a punch to get across the finish line.
Sean Moran, an FBI agent, travels to a small Texas town for his friend's wedding and to follow up on some case leads. Leyla is a coffee shop owner whose brothers are in law enforcement in their small beach town. Sparks fly between Leyla and Sean at the weeding. The next day they find one of the Lelyla's employees dead. Sean finds out the death is linked to one of his cases, and has to stay in town. With the help of Leyla, he can help close the case?
Thank you #NetGalley and #Dreamscape Media for and advance read copy.

"Deep Tide" by Laura Griffin is a thrilling suspense novel that plunges readers into a world of intrigue and danger beneath the surface. Griffin's mastery of suspense and meticulous attention to detail create a gripping narrative. The characters are well-crafted, and the plot is filled with twists that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. While some aspects may feel familiar in the genre, the overall execution and intensity make "Deep Tide" a compelling read deserving of a solid four-star rating.

This was a gripping story that I continued to think about long after I read it. I loved that it included all my favourites - murder, mystery and a little bit of romance.
A must read

Deep Tide (The Texas Murder Files #4) was another great read by Laura Griffin. Leyla Breda is well aware of the rising crime in her small beach town. She never expected that it would show up on her doorstep. She finds one of her employees murdered in the alley behind her coffee shop which leads her deeply shaken. Sean Moran is on an undercover assignment looking into several crime syndicates that the FBI has been investigating for years. He is immediately intrigued by Leyla and feels a spark between them. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Laura Griffin could write a grocery list and I would read it like my life depended on it. This was fantastic as always, Laura always coming in clutch.

Deep Tide by Laura Griffin is the 4th book in her Texas Murder Files Series. I feel that I was missing some key background information on some of the story/characters since I had not read any of the other books in this series. Overall this was a 3 star read for me. The story was good but nothing that kept me on the edge of my seat.
An FBI agent travels to a small Texas town for his friends wedding and to follow some case leads. Sparks fly between him and his friend's sister, who owns a shop. The day after the wedding, they find one of the sister's employees dead. The FBI agent finds out the death is linked to one of his cases, and has to stay in town. With the help of the friend's sister, he can help close the case.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the copy of the audiobook. All opinions are my own. #LauraGriffin #DeepTide #NetGalley #DreamscapeMedia

4.5⭐️
Book #4 of The Texas Murder Files series, and can be read as standalone.
When Leyla finds one of her employees murdered in the alley behind her coffee shop, she’s deeply shaken.
A new law enforcement officer Sean comes to town. He is working undercover for something bigger.
This romantic thriller is fast paced, suspenseful, intriguing with some few steamy scenes.
What gets better than this?
The characters in this book were lovable. I especially loved Laylas Strong character.
The wedding meet-cute was so adorable and the author did well building up the romance so nicely. Their chemistry was undeniable.
I loved the whole police procedural. How the investigation into the murder overlapped with previous murders, the drama surrounding the case with the FBI involvement was written so well.
I felt Leyla putting herself into the investigation was reckless.
I also loved Teri Clark Linden narration. She gave one hell of a performance.
This would be a nice TV Show.
I loved Deep Tide by Laura Griffin and I can't recommend this book & author enough.
Thank you NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for This Audiobook.

I really enjoyed the audiobook. I could not stop listening to know what will happen next. It was the first book I read by the author so I loved the fact that I could read/listen to this book as a standalone without feeling I was missing something even though the book is part of a series. I can't wait to read the rest of the books.

This was one of the only audiobooks I listened to this year. It kept me on the edge of my street with the suspense. The romance was interesting and all the characters intriguing.

I really enjoyed this and loved that I was able to read as a stand alone and not feel lost . The readers voice was off and on for me almost sounded robotic at points but all in all I did like the book .

I discovered recently Laura Griffin’s books and now I’m addicted. She writes the best romantic thrillers period, they’re fast-paced, intriguing and they will keep you at the edge of your seat.

I really wanted to like this one. I kept trying and I read the whole thing but it just didn't do it for me. I kept wanting to dnf and im sad I didn't.

When I requested this audio I didnt know it was book 4 in a series but you would of had no idea this can be read as a stand alone which is always good.
Leyla Breda lives in a small town where her brothers are both cops so she knows its not as safe in her small town. But when one morning one of her employees are found dead at her shop shes in the focus of a murder and she also does some digging of her own to see if she can find anything else.
Like all mystery's/thrillers I don't like to give anything away. This was a sold 3 star read with some romance with trying to find out the mystery of the murder.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, for providing me with this audibook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrartion was very good. I got sucked into this story very quickly. About halfway through I started to lose interest. I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters.

Deep Tide was a great police procedural that also included romance, and I really enjoyed this and it left me wondering why I haven’t read more by this author.
I thought the audiobook format was great and would highly recommend.
*many thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the gifted copy
