Okay I absolutely love Tessa Bailey, and was really excited to get this book, but I couldn’t get invested at all

Cute premise, but not my favorite Tessa Bailey read. I didn't see the chemistry between Beat and Melody and wish there had been more of a holiday tie in given the title name/cover artwork. Overall a quick read.

A holiday romance that is filled to the brim with goodness:

Friends to Lovers
Forced Proximity
One Bed
Blackmail
Banter for days
Secrets
Scandal

When the world would do anything for a reunion from a band that hasn't been together in decades will their children be able to reunite them?

A reality show, a scandal or two, a dirty talker, unexpected attraction and chemistry that will scorch your e-reader or book are just a few of my favorite things from this book..

Grab a cuppa, cozy up and dive into a book that I could've read another couple hundred pages with these two!

I can't wait to read more from Tessa Baily

5 enthusiastic stars to Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey! This standalone holiday novel hits all the right notes, and I couldn't put it down. Melody and Beat's mothers were a dynamic rock band, until a mysterious, explosive breakup drove them apart. Both Melody and Beat grew up hearing about the other, but didn't meet until one brief interaction when they were 16. Now, years later, circumstances force them to try to get their mothers to bring the band back for an iconic Christmas concert, while filming them full-time. Beat and Melody both feel drawn to the other, but don't see how a relationship could work.

This book was exactly what I want out of a Tessa Bailey novel - plenty of steam, dirty-talking hero, strong heroine, and a story that I can't put down. I loved this book, and look forward to reading it again!

This was so cute!! I love everything Tessa writes and a holiday romance was just what I needed. Highly recommended for a quick read.

Once again… Tessa Bailey strikes! I dunno why others don’t see the greatness in this book, but I absolutely adored it and LOVED Beat and Melody.

When the children of famous enemies (after a band fallout) work together in order to try for a band reunion and find that there really is someone else in the world who fully understands them, their life, and how they’ve felt their entire time in the spotlight - it’s the means to make Vanessa (me) fully swoon.

Not only did Beat and Melody only meet ONCE when they were teenagers and instantly get along, their instant chemistry didn’t feel forced like it usually does to me. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, and the way their chemistry is seen on the live reels and stuff when working towards getting their mothers to agree is just an epic thing.

Not exactly a holiday / Christmas book, but it does take place during winter because they have a deadline for New Years Eve. Definitely surpassed any expectations I had, but I’m not even surprised because I’ve truly adored all the Tessa books I’ve read so far.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this novel. Unfortunately, I was not able to finish the novel so I won't be leaving a full review.

This book was so cute I loved both of our main characters and their chemistry with each other. I always love a good instalove story (a bit of an unpopular opinion) and this one definitely had that. I did loe the story and plot but there a couple of spots that felt just a little too long. Although I do wish there was chrismas in this book I did still really enjoy it.

This one takes place during Christmas but it doesn't play a huge role in the story, so it can be read at any time of the year!

Beat and Melody met when they were 16 but haven't seen each other since that day. Their moms were in a band together. Something tore them apart and they hadn't spoken in 30 years. Beat gets an offer to help reunite his mom and Melody's mom through a reality show, and since he is going through something so he needs that money.

Beat's secrets kept me reading because I wanted to learn more about what was going on in his life. Like all the fans on the show, I loved Melody.

All the romance and spice in this one!

Melody lives her life like an ordinary person, but her mother is a famous rockstar. Her band disbanded years ago. Beat's mother was also in the band and they both left the band after a huge battle that left them enemies. Beat and Melody are offered a lot of money to get their mothers band back together. The strong feelings that Beat has always had for Melody make it really hard for him to just be friends. I thought this book was just ok, I think I was looking for a more Christmas vibe in a book. This story takes place around the holiday time but it wasn't a holiday book.

I love Tessa Bailey’s books but this one seemed to have too much conflict between the two leads. Melody having issues again at the end of the book was just too much for me. The story line was cute and I did enjoy it, just not one of my favorites by Bailey. 3.5 stars. Thank you, NetGalley, for the eARC.

I normally love Tessa Bailey’s novels, but I couldn’t get into to one. I had a hard time with the characters and the writing style. The motivations for the characters was confusing.

Not my favorite TB, but still packed a lot of plot twists, drama, emotions and SPICE ! Melody & Beat were great together and I loved how well melody came into her own throughout the book !

Another great release by Tessa Bailey. While this is not my new favorite Tessa Bailey novel I enjoyed it completely. Tessa Bailey writes her characters beautifully and always had me invested in there story. The story of Beat and Melody is made for fans of reality television and fame. Because of the reality show element that is where this story lost me, but overall I had a great reading experience.

Beat and Melody, two nepo babies who fall in love. Perfectly cheesy & warm & I honestly loved it! Things you will find in this book:

* holiday romcom
* insta love/ love at first sight
* celebrity/livestreamer romance
* forced proximity
* moderately spicy
* one... mattress
* hea

You will find some miscommunication and a third act break up, so if thats not your thing this one may not be for you! I would recommend this for a light hearted, funny, winter read.

Tessa Bailey is becoming one of my go-to authors when it comes to romances. I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on her books, but I’ve read four books now by this author and I’ve loved every single one. This one was no different!

This was such an enjoyable read. I was extremely excited to pick this book up, I just love Tessa Bailey’s writing and her books are always so quick and addicting. I was so excited when I saw she was writing a Christmas book… and here I am writing a review for it.

Gah! This book had so much tension and I absolutely loved the idea behind the children of two rockstars who were in a former band coming together to help bring that band back.

Beat and Melody had such an adorable relationship throughout the years. I absolutely loved the way Beat would always defend Melody when it came to interviews and paparazzi. It was adorable seeing both characters reuniting when they both knew they had an instant connection when they first met.

This is one of those character-driven stories so I’m glad I ended up loving both of these characters. I only had two issues with this book, and no, the steamy scenes were not one - I actually don’t mind the way Tessa writes these scenes.

My first issue was that this book didn’t give what it promised. I was expecting it to revolve more on the Christmas holiday, but it didn’t really seem that way. It wasn’t a very festive read, I feel like I would’ve felt the same about the story if I had read it some other time throughout the year.

Also, there were a few scenes where miscommunication came into play, and that was a big issue for me. I didn’t love the way these characters handled those situations, it would’ve been easily resolved if only they would have had an honest conversation.

Overall, Wreck The Halls was such a fun and engaging read. It can honestly be read any time of the year, it didn’t really feel festive. These characters were fun and I loved the idea behind the plotline, I would’ve loved to see more of their parents though. Tessa Bailey has written another successful romance for me and I can’t wait to read more by her.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Avon for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

(3.5⭐️) Many thanks to my friends at @avonbooks for the #gifted copy of this book.

Spicy and fun!

One rockstar feud + the two children of the feuding rockstars determined to get the band back together = a rollicking good time live streamed for all to see. But the question remains… can Beat and Melody get their mom’s back together for one more song?

Tessa Bailey tapped into some Dr. Seuss type magic. I’m not a Grinch about many things, but when it comes to insta love, I can be.

Somehow, Bailey convinced me that the connection between Beat and Melody was pure fate, not to be denied. The magnetic draw between the two had me cheering for them from the first time they met as teens.

And that smoldering chemistry 🔥! Whew! I still feel the heat. Mistletoe was not needed.

The snappy dialogue. The witty banter. The quirky characters. The fun “get the band back together” premise. This was an all-around entertaining romance.

In "Wreck the Halls," Tessa Bailey delivers a delightful holiday rom-com filled with humor, heart, and rock and roll. Melody, the daughter of music royalty, finds herself thrust into the spotlight when a tempting offer comes her way – reuniting her mother's band for a Christmas Eve concert on live TV. Reluctant but intrigued, Mel decides to take on the challenge, and her partner in this madcap mission is none other than Beat, the charismatic lead singer's son. Despite their mothers' infamous feud that shattered the band, Mel and Beat embark on a wild journey that not only involves dealing with rock star shenanigans, brawling Santas, and adoring fans but also sparks a wild, intense attraction between them.

The chemistry between Mel and Beat is palpable as they navigate the chaos of their plan, and Bailey skillfully blends the humorous elements of the story with moments of genuine connection and self-discovery. Mel's journey from a quiet book restorer to someone willing to shake up her life is charmingly portrayed, and Beat's charisma and support provide the perfect foil. "Wreck the Halls" is a delightful and engaging holiday read, showcasing Bailey's talent for crafting a romantic comedy that is both heartwarming and hilariously entertaining.

Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for an e-galley of Wreck the Halls.

Beat and Melody have barely met each other despite the fact that their mothers were in the same band. Granted, there was a very public breakup prior to their births, but still. Flash forward thirty years and the two have been thrown together with one goal - reunite their mothers' band. The real kicker? The whole adventure will be live streamed. The world will see their every move as they try to figure out what caused the band to break up and the subsequent 20+ year rift. Will Beat and Melody meet their goal in time for Christmas? Or will it all fall apart before it begins?
