Another fabulous mystery with Bree and Matt, as well as their family. In this one, we get more Dana and Nolan, which was great. The mystery was a good one. A fast paced quick read.

Catch Her Death by Melinda Leigh is a heart-stopping suspense novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. As the fourth book in the Bree Taggert series, this story is a continuation of Sheriff Bree Taggert's life and the dangerous situations she encounters.
After taking down Travis Ekin, a cold-blooded murderer, Sheriff Bree Taggert becomes the target of his family's deadly revenge. To make matters worse, her best friend Dana Romano finds her date shot in the chest, and the crime scene is in another police department's jurisdiction. As the lead investigator focuses on Dana as the prime suspect, Bree and investigator Matt Flynn work off the books to clear Dana. But Bree's family receives deadly threats, and a second dead body is discovered, linking the two cases. Bree and Matt must find the killer quickly before either case takes another deadly turn.
The author has created a cast of well-crafted and relatable characters, with Bree being a standout protagonist. Her strength and determination to protect her loved ones is admirable, and she is not afraid to ask for and accept help. The dynamic between Bree and Matt is excellent, and the slow build towards a romance between Dana and Matt's brother, Nolan, is intriguing. The Flynn family is a great group of supporting characters, adding depth and humor to the story.
The plot of the book is expertly written, with multiple storylines that intertwine to create a complex and thrilling narrative. The reader is kept guessing as to who is after revenge and why, making for a roller coaster ride of a story. The pacing is spot-on, with plenty of action and suspense to keep you engaged from beginning to end.
Although this book can technically be read as a standalone, it is better to read it as part of the series. If you like strong female leads and gripping mysteries, then the Bree Taggert series is for you.
Overall, Catch Her Death is a thrilling and well-crafted suspense novel that will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this book and the entire Bree Taggert series to fans of Kendra Elliot, Karen Rose, and Toni Anderson. It's a five-star read that you won't want to put down.

Bree has gone to arrest a killer. The family is not happy and promises revenge. Now it seems someone is stalking her. They show up on the farm and are sending hateful emails. But her ex partner Dana was going to a casual friends house for dinner. She enters in the middle of a robbery or something. Her friend is shot, she is knocked down and strangled by the " robber". After getting away, she goes and tries to save her friend because he's bleeding bad. Bree and her boyfriend Matt are trying to figure out what is going on. Can they find the killer before he kills again?

O.M.G.!!!!!! you do not want to miss this story! I usually like a little sex in my books but this has none. The story grabbed me from the very first paragraph! Action and suspense.

I am a BIG fan of Melinda Leigh and binged the whole Bree Taggert series one after the other - so I was excited to have an ARC for this book. It didn't disappoint - once again another fast paced twisty novel that's super easy to read in one sitting!

This story focuses more around Dana Romano but I really enjoyed the different aspect of this book.

This book felt like a visit with old friends, albeit with a mystery to solve and action aplenty. While this book could technically be read as a stand alone, it is better to be read as part of the series as, thankfully, Ms Leigh doesn’t spend a great deal of time padding out the back stories of her characters. Which is something I find other authors do to an annoying level.

Leigh has created a cast of well-crafted and relatable characters, with Bree Taggert being a standout protagonist. Her strength and determination to protect her loved ones is admirable, but she is not someone who can’t ask for an accept help. I love the dynamic she has with investigator Matt Flynn and I am so happy to see them both lower their guards more and more with each book.

While Bree’s ex-partner from her homicide days has been a supporting character in all of the previous books, we get to see more of Dana in this outing and I love that there is a slow build towards a romance with Matt’s brother, Nolan. Overall the Flynn family is such a great group of supporting characters.

The plot of the book is expertly written, with multiple storylines that intertwine to create a complex and thrilling narrative. When and those she loves become the target of a family's deadly revenge it is a roller coaster trying to work out who is after revenge and why.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series and highly recommend the series to fans of Kendra Elliot, Karen Rose and Toni Anderson. If you like strong female leads and gripping mysteries then do yourself a favour and dive into the Bree Taggert series, you won’t be disappointed 5 shining stars!!

Any thing written by Melinda Leigh is an automatic read for me, and it doesn't matter who the characters are I know I'm gonna love it, this book was no exception.

The characters and her ability to bring each one out in a way that makes you really root for them or not, in the case of the bad guys is pretty amazing.

Bree is used to getting hate mail and dealing with it but when someone comes after Dana and her family that's a whole different story. She will stop at nothing to protect her friends and her family and make sure everyone is safe. One of the threats though seems to be coming from inside the police department one town over and Bree and Matt are doing everything they can to keep Dana from getting railroaded for the murder of the guy she's been seeing while also trying to help her heal from her own run in with the killer.

Read the book for an edge of your seat thriller.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a great addition to the Bree Taggert series. The action was nonstop. I love revisiting the characters and seeing them grow. I especially love the dogs.

One of the best crime series out there! Characters so developed you feel you know them, you want to know them - even better, dogs have full time as part of the team and family. Great mystery with enough red herrings to keep you turning that page and strong female characters that hold their own and then some. Part of an awesome series, but can stand on it's own.
