Heart Beachy is in her mid-twenties and is keeping house for her widowed father, a blacksmith and iron sculptor. She doesn't have any marriage prospects -- she is too busy being of service to her dad and to the community. Clayton Glick is an orphan who is apprenticed to Heart's father and becomes an essential element in the business and the home. Meanwhile a relationship is developing between Heart's father and a widowed neighbor who was the hospice care worker when Hearth's mother died several years previously. After some difficult circumstances occur, all are drawn closer together and two sweets unions are forged. Hearwarming!

I enjoyed An Amish Cinderella story very much. Shelley Shepard Gray does a wonderful job with this storyline. Heart’s father is a blacksmith, who is on the gruff side. Heart takes care of him and the house. Clayton is taking on as an apprentice to work with Heart’s father. Clayton and Heart start to have feelings for each other but have to overcome a few obstacles. This is a sweet romance story. Thank you to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the E-ARC. This is my own opinion.

I enjoyed reading this book and seeing the similarities between this story and what I remember from the Cinderella story. Such a fun, light hearted detailed book written in a modern day fairytale setting. Different, but very entertaining. I recommend this book if you love seeing fairy tales have happy endings.

A great cast of characters, and some imagination on the reader’s part, makes this a book in the fairytale flavor of Cinderella. It took a while into the book to see where the Cinderella aspect came in.

Ivan, the widowed father, Heart, the daughter, Mary, the neighbor, and Clayton, Ivan’s apprentice, rounds out the cast of characters. Each of these brings a special part to this book.

Bringing life back after grief, figuring out life as previously unknown, new relationships, animals, an accident and a lost shoe bring this all together.

I enjoyed this book and recommend it to lovers of fairytales and Amish reading. Thanks to Kensington and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book.

Hazel, or as she prefers Heart, takes care of her grumpy blacksmith father and the farm after the death of her mother. When he gets a new apprentice, Clayton, the romance spark begins. A sweet story, and like that both Heart and her father find romance. Not sure about the title though, as I didn't see much of a Cinderella story, but might be just me. Enjoyed this one and would highly recommend.
