✨ARC Review✨
Funny, poignant, and closed door! Sounds like a winner to me: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🎧I was thrilled to receive an audiobook ARC of this book. The narration was excellent with great production and range of voice. Having an injury that makes physical reading difficult I’m so grateful for audiobooks and text to speech technology to brighten my long days.
📚On to the review. I’ve heard great things about Savannah Scott books and I was not disappointed. Censor(shipped) is book four in the Shipped series but it can be read alone. The series takes place in a cute town full of wacky loveable characters. It’s light, funny, sweet, and has brother best friend trope. Also I so appreciate all the emotion without the spice. This romcom is definitely worth checking out.
Thanks to the author, NetGalley, and Dreamscape for this audiobook ARC

The writing is adorable, I fell in love with the characters and laughed and felt all the feels.
The audio was A+ too.

I did not like this book even though I really wanted to. The female narrator has annoying inflection that just takes away from the story. Additionally, the book really slut-shamed both Amber and even Duke continuously. It spent so long talking about why Shannon and Duke could not be together and never built depth with the characters. There is so much time with the characters laughing at nothing. It comes off as really pathetic. Also, claiming to be in love with someone after a week and being upset that they don't publicly declare their love as well? At one point, a friend tells Duke that his wife (the friend's) is pregnant. Duke exclaims how happy he is that his friend will be a dad. The friend points out he already is a dad since he has two adopted children. Duke believes the pregnancy makes him more of a dad. This is so insulting to anyone who is adopted! Yes, this is a small-town romance, but it doesn't need to carry small-minded and chauvinistic ideas and along with having next to no character depth. One tragic event does not add depth to a story. Additionally, the way the author describes dance is the way a 10-year-old would. Maybe some people will like this, but it was not my cup of diet Dr. Pepper (Shannon's choice of caffeine). 2 stars, 1 spice

I am very thankful to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen another in the Get Shipped series.
Savannah Scott has created a fun, enjoyable, series involving the characters from Bordeaux, Ohio. Censorshipped is another enjoyable addition. This time we get to join Shannon and Duke as they navigate how to be together. Particularly when Duke had promised his best friend Chris he would take care of his little sister while he was away serving his Country.
As usual the characters in this story are sweet, funny, and even a little swoon worthy. Shannon and Duke work well. Both are likeable and working to find their places in the world, all while being very attracted to each other. What I like about these books is how they feel like you are catching up with friends, funny, sometimes conniving, friends. I also like how they are humorous while giving some insight into life’s struggles.
As for the audiobook, I thought it was great. The narration by Amy McFadden and Will Damron was enjoyable and engaging. They never let the listener down. I say, if you want a fun, lighthearted, romance then give this one, and the whole series, a try.

4.5 stars
This is a fun, funny, entertaining, sweet read. I loved spending my time with Duke and Shannon while they realized they completed each other. It was fun being back in this world, with these characters. I loved that we got to see the characters from the previous books enjoying their happily ever after. I found Duke and Shannon such relatable and intriguing characters. They had me pulling for them from the first page. This book pulled on all my emotions and best of all made me laugh.
I listened to this on audio and enjoyed the narrators. I found them easy to understand and follow.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Censorshipped is the fourth romance in the Getting Shipped! series and the first I’ve read. Shannon has had a huge crush on her brother’s best friend, Duke, for as long as she can remember. She’s tried to convince herself that she’s over Duke, but who is she kidding? Who would ever really be over Duke Satterson? Too bad she can’t do anything about it…or can she?
This romance is my perfect type of romance. I love the best friend brother trope and this one was done so well. The characters are engaging and so likable, the small town is nosy and perfect and the story had everything I love in a romance. I haven’t read anything else in this series but I will definitely be going back and remedying that. I highly recommend this brother’s best friend romance! I loved it from the very beginning!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audiobook version of this book!

This is the 4th book in a series, but it can easily be a stand alone. I have read 2 of the previous books, but this is my first one to read as an audiobook. I was not the biggest of the narrators. I can’t put my finger on why, but it wasn’t as pleasant to me as other book narrators have been. Maybe I would have enjoyed this story more had I read it instead.
Shannon and Duke are both grown ups, but Shannon seemed quite childish at times. I would guess 12 more than 26 by her words and internal monologue. Also, ENOUGH with the silly autocorrect fails. WHY was that a characteristic that Shannon needed to have??? Once can be humorous, but more than that is just silly. I was not the biggest fan of Duke’s hyper masculine/macho personas at time. I feel like a good romantic lead can be masculine without falling in the usual chauvinistic tropes.
Every rom com features cliches, but this one has just one too many for my taste. This does seem to be par for the course in this series, from the ones I have read. I also wish the author would have chosen her words better when writing about adoptive children. It can be considered hurtful.
It is a clean romance with only kissing, handholding, and snuggling featured, so if that’s your cup of tea this story will be perfect for you.
Thank you, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the chance to listen this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Censorshipped, the 4th book in Savannah Scott’s Getting Shipped! series, is another winner, as I knew it would be. There is something comforting about returning to the quaint town of Bordeaux, Ohio (pronounced board ox). As with the previous books in the series, Censorshipped is an excellent romcom. This time around the story focuses on Shannon and Duke, who up until now have been minor characters in the previous book. Once again Ms. Scott does a wonderful job of building up the tension between two characters who are both crazy about each other but unwilling to admit it to each other. Scott has a wonderful ability to write endearing characters you just can’t help but root for. And of course this being Bordeaux there is always a healthy dose of humor to be found. As with the previous books, Amy McFadden and Will Damron are back as the narrators. As always, they do a wonderful job and I can’t imagine anyone else narrating these books. This is such an excellent series and one romcom fans shouldn’t miss. I’d like to thank Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review an advanced copy of the audio version of Censorshipped.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC (audio arc) of "Censorshipped" by Savannah Scott in exchange for my honest review! First off what is better than finding a new author whose book made you kick your feet, blush and giggle while ready this adorable romance? FINDING OUT SHE HAS SIX OTHER BOOKS IN THE SAME SERIES. Directly after listening/ reading (I began with the audio arc then went on to download the physical book so I could speed read and finish in time for bed) I have already downloaded 3 of the author novels in this series, they are all on Kindle Unlimited!!
So anyways back to the review; this story was amazing, loved the banter, I normally like a bit more steam in my books but this was OK for me even without any steam because the writing made it so worthwhile. Duke is officially the blue print for the best book boyfriend of the year!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for sharing the ALC in exchange for an honest review.
This was book #4 of an already established series. Although I have not read the other first three books yet (I'm not a fan of the main couple's tropes in those) I was excited to request this one because I love a brother's BFF/Best Friend's little sister trope. They're always so fun!
The narrators were good for this book and when the FMC and MMC finally came together 50% of the book, you knew what the issues were going to be the remaining parts of the book. It's the VERY specific formula that comes with a HEA romance, tied with the couple tropes of sneaking around and "let's not tell big brother" or the "entirety of the small town we live in bc everyone will know."
Yes, the CONSTANT autocorrect issues are TERRIBLY annoying. At what point do you just get a new phone? It was cute and funny at first, but ok - we get it.
A couple things that I found that could have been addressed probably earlier in the ARC editing process is the Speedy Gonzales reference, the hair in cornrows, and even the comment of the MMC referring to his friend as being a "real dad" now that he was having a child that was biologically his. Even though the friend corrected the MMC by saying he was already a dad, the MMC doubled-down and said "yeah, but this is more." Not being someone's biological child doesn't negate the type of parent or child someone is. These are ultimately what impacted the rating of this book.
The feedback above I wanted to share and will note that it wasn't until after I finished that I realized the actual physical book is already released so the feedback would not be able to be applied, but hopefully can make future readers aware when deciding if they want to read this book or feedback to the editor/publisher when it comes to the release of the next in the series.
Overall, you do not need to read this series to follow along. It's appropriate for ages 13+ because it's so tame in the romance department (hand-holding here and a kiss or reference to a make-out there), but not sure if I would recommend unless things were acknowledged in changing some things that I felt could be an issue to a wider audience.

I fall more and more in love with Bordeaux and these darling characters with each new book in the Getting Shipped series Savannah Scott writes. Duke and Shannon had off the chart chemistry right from the start and I loved seeing the sneak peeks of their romance I saw in the other books come to life and explode in the best of ways in this story.
I loved the whole brother's best friend/friends to more romance Duke and Shannon have. Both characters just endeared to me so much and I found myself falling for Duke right along with Shannon. After all, who can resist all his swagger. :) The romance was clean and swoony with some FABULOUS kisses, while also having realistic obstacles the two had to overcome to really make their relationship work. I was hooked and immediately wanted to reread combing through my favorite parts after I finished reading. The side characters are all-star worthy and I personally think the author has really caught her stride and just keeps delivering for me.
I fully recommend this book and series.
I did a reread of this book via the audiobook and it was even better than I remembered. The dual narration was fantastic with each narrator really capturing the unique characteristics and personalities of the MCs. I easily followed along and was definitely entertained.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape publishing for the advance listening copy. I recommend the audiobook version of this novel.

I loved getting to read this story unfold. This particular book follows Shannon & Duke. Duke is Shannon’s older brothers best friend. So he’s off-limits. Or is he? Both Duke & Shannon have had feelings for each other for years but never told each other and never acted on it until now. Shannon accidentally butt dials Duke and he listens in and hears Shannon tell her roomie and bff Jayme that she has feelings for him. So when Jamie comes over a few days later to help him plan her brothers surprise coming home party one thing leads to another & they kiss for the first time. They decide to keep their relationship a secret from the town (HAHA)

I'm new to the series and new to this author and I'm really pleased I got the chance to listen to the audio version. I really enjoyed this story. The autocorrect txt message conversations were my fav they had me in stitches. Duke and Shannon have been into each other secretly for years going back to when they were children but they both have kept their feelings a secret because of Shannon's brother who is Dukes best friend. I love the brothers best friend trope and this was done really well. The build up between them with the banter and the flirting and Dukes protective side was wonderful. This was a pure joy to listen to from start to finish

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
So kind of a lot to unpack here for me. I started keeping track of the many ways internalized misogyny and toxic masculinity appeared in this book. Duke… is a piece of work. Completely unenlightened man boy who seems to think grunting and flexing makes a man. He says things about how he rides a Harley “like a man” and he keeps his “man card” because he doesn’t cry. The entire idea that Shannon’s brother feels like he needs her to be babysat is bizarre. She’s a grown ass woman. Being protective of her because your other sister died from circumstances totally unrelated to this (I assumed it was relationship violence for the extreme lengths Chris and Duke went to in the name of “protecting” her).
Shannon was fine. Nothing to write home about. Perfect Hallmark movie MC. Immature maybe, but she’s relatively young.
I dislike the slut shaming of Amber and the assumptions/portrayals of the single moms. They are the butt of jokes on multiple occasions and I find it lazy and cheap. And then, since I was already put off by the many things piling up I noticed smaller things like jokes about toddlers dating (stop sexualizing kids) and compulsory heterosexuality. Then there was the comment that implied adopted children aren’t the same as biological children. And honestly… why is the town pronounced Bore-dox? I hate it here.
I almost want to read other stories from the series to see if they all carry this same energy but don’t know if I should waste that time.

OMG YES!!!
Duke Satterson and Shannon are FINALLY getting together and it's in the most adorable way!
Duke and Shannon have known each other forever because he is her older brother's best friend. When Chris (older brother) heads off to the military he asks his best friend, Duke, to look out for his little sister. Duke is annoyed at first but then goes to great lengths to make sure Shannon can't keep a man, showing up on her dates and showing up before dates. He basically scares them all away in the name of commitment to his friendship with Chris. Is that all though? Duty to a friend? NOPE.
Shannon's autocorrected texts are friggin hilarious. This one had me laughing and crying and the ending was PERFECT. Huge thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the opportunity to listen to and review this ALC. As usual Amy McFadden and Will Damron did a stellar job at narrating.

This book was such a sweet friends to lovers book!
Duke and Shannon have known each other for the majority of their lives. Shannon's brother Chris is Duke's best friend. So they both always knew that each other were off limits. But that doesn't stop them both from harboring crushes on each other.
And we finally get to see them come together in this book and it's so adorable!
Both narrators were great, especially the female narrator - I loved the sass that she put into Shannon's character. I can't wait to see the rest of the crew of friends get their HEA! Especially Shannon's roommate and her brother, maybe together?!

What do you get when you have a phone with a rogue autocorrect that takes over all of your messages? Well, one thing is pretty funny messages. And the other is the guy receiving the messages playing them up but also taking a chance and flirting back with the phone's owner. *smirks*
And this flirting back is a dream come true! After all the embarrassment coursing through Shannon due to the messages her phone changed up. Then comes the shock, the almost excitement because is this too good to be true, then the squeals of excitement that is in full force when she realizes yes it is really happening! Duke is flirting with Shannon on purpose!!!!!
Oh how I loved reading this book! Duke and Shannon are just so adorable! I loved their story! (Yes, I'm using a lot of exclamations and that's ok cause I'm showing you that I'm excited and happy over this book!!!!!!!!!!) ;-)
This has a great combination of off-limits brother's best friend trope and secret relationship trope. And they go together so smashingly well!!! But little do Duke and Shannon realize it, but the whole town has been waiting for this for them for a long time. Now the struggle is to keep it quiet until Shannon's brother Chris returns home and they can be the ones to tell him.
So many great moments throughout this book. You'll be laughing out loud, cheering these two on (and the sports team Duke coaches as well), hoping they can find time to be together, keep everything secret for just a little while longer, be left smiling from all the fun and cuteness!!!
Content: Clean. Kissing but nothing further. No language.
I received an audiobook copy from the audiobook producer, Dreamscape Media, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!

Savannah Scott is quickly becoming one of my favorite, go to authors! Her romcoms are hilarious, heartfelt, and full of sweet swoony moments that’ll melt your heart. Censorshipped is no exception! Absolutely loved this brother’s best friend, best friend’s little sister, secret relationship, flirty, fun romcom set in a the fictional small town of Bordeaux pronounced Bored Ox, Ohio.
Duke has been given one mission, protect his best friend’s little sister while he’s serving in the military. The only problem, he’s been secretly in love with Shannon for years. But, there’s absolutely nothing he can do about it, is there? He’s also thinking about switching careers from being a mechanic in his father’s shop to teaching and coaching baseball.
Shannon has been in love with her older brother’s best friend since 7th grade, maybe longer. Every man she’s dated pales in comparison. From his backwards baseball cap to the sweet way he coaches kids’ baseball, the man can do no wrong. But, he’s had a long string of girlfriends and seems to only think of her as a little sister. Plus, her overprotective brother would definitely not approve. When the attraction between them builds to a sizzling kiss, will they deny their feelings or have the courage to acknowledge what they’ve always wanted?
This book was so, so good, especially the audiobook version! The flirty dialogue, passionate kisses, and longing looks had me swooning, laughing, and smiling from ear to ear. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and are becoming favorites. They injected just the right amount of emotion and I love their voices. I devoured it. Honestly so hard to put down.
Shannon & Duke were so cute together. Their long held crushes just made it all the sweeter when they finally get together. There are some obstacles they have to overcome which added depth to their relationship. I enjoyed Duke’s grand gesture and Shannon’s willingness to give Duke the benefit of the doubt. Those kisses! Holy cow!
Highly recommend to sweet romance fans! The whole series is adorably fun and you’ll fall in love with all the quirky characters of Bordeaux! I received an advanced complimentary audiobook from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my completely my own and voluntarily given.

Well, hello, Bordeaux! Bored Ox, Ohio is the town I've been waiting to visit all my life. This is my first time in this quirky small town, full of beloved residents, and it definitely won't be my last.
Duke is Shannon's brother's best friend and that's one of my favorite tropes. And this is exactly the kind of story I fall in love with. I laughed; I swooned; and I was ready to pack my bags and move right into these pages. For real.
Shannon's been secretly in love with Duke forever and he's the biggest player in the field. Or is he? The way they fell right into something comfortable, yet sizzling hot (in a wholesome way), grasped my heart.

Savannah Scott has created the perfect town with the perfectly imperfect characters. From the seniors to the friend group, I felt right at home and loved how everyone watches out for one another, but the flirty banter and invisible chemistry is what really stole the show. The sneaking around and meddling were the best. I love Scott's writing style and storytelling.
One more note...I listened to this book and I have to say: the narrators were both AMAZING!
Content: mild+ romance (kissing)
*I received a complimentary audio copy through Netgalley, although I own a Kindle copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were voluntarily given.*

This was a great brother's best friend, small town romance. One of my favorites of this series, that sees Duke (a playboy mechanic) finally taking a chance on his long-time crush and best friend's sister, Shannon. It was a lot of fun reading about a FMC with my first name (I won't lie). This had lots of the Boardaux charm we've come to love too and was great on audio narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron. Recommended for fans of Emma St. Clair. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!!
