This might be my favourite so far, Duke and Shannon have known each other for years as Duke is best friends with Chris who just so happens to be Shannon's big brother.

Chris enlisted Duke to look out for his sister while he was away on military duty, and Duke takes his role seriously. Even if doing so hurts him deep inside because he has always wanted Shannon for himself.
Shannon catches on pretty quickly that Duke is trying to act as her stand in brother and she is having no part of it. She lets him know it. I loved this so hard!

They both try so hard to stay away and in the friends zone only but attraction and chemistry can only be held back for so long. They give in and its explosive. But they don't want Chris to find out before they can tell him so they have to keep it on the down low.

It a great story and I am glad I was able to listen early. Thank to Netgalley.
The narration is perfect, I am loving Amy and Will in this series.

Again its a wonderful clean romance were your only getting the smooches. 😘😘

Shannon has known Duke for a long time, he is her brothers best friend, and she has had a crush on him for a long time! Duke was asked to look after Shannon while her brother is away in the military, but thoughts of something more bounce through his head.

The two have a difficult time navigating their feelings into something more than a crush, all while hiding from other friends and the entire small town. This book a standalone or can be read within the series.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for my review. I loved the dual point of view and narration.

I’m loving Savannah Scott and her Getting (Shipped)! small town, sweet and swoony rom com series - each one has a very specific trope and they’re all super unique, but follow the same group of friends as they navigate through the different stages of life, relationships and family.

Censor(Shipped), book 4, finally brings together Shannon, who we love in the first three books, and Duke - her big brother’s bestie since childhood. Overprotective brother Chris enlisted and put Duke, a player, in charge of making sure no one went near his sister while he was overseas, and Duke took the task to heart, even though she’d always had his heart. Duke could never cross his best friend (not with what their family had gone through)... But that crazy auto corrected text Shannon just sent sets him off. Did she actually mean to say that super flirty thing, or is he imagining it because it’s what he is feeling?

This book is a wild and crazy ride, with a secret relationship, older brother’s player best friend turned serious now he found the “right one” (really, more that she’s said yes), and all the previous characters getting into everyone’s business. Closed door. Fantastic read! I could barely stop listening when I had to go to work. I highly recommend it, especially the fantastic audio, narrated again by Will Damron and Amy McFadden - they do a great job on this series!

I received an advance listen copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback.

I absolutely love the Getting Shipped Series! Every time I pick up another one of the books in the series I fall more in love with the characters in this series.

The narrators once’s again did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life and I can’t wait for the next audiobook in the series to listen to more.

Falling for your brothers best friend is always a good trope and this book did a great job with bringing it to life and help Duke and Shannon start their happily ever after.

I adored the story, as well, as for other stories. Was not ready for this one to end. Great narration. Thanks to publishing and net galley for allowing me to listen and review this book! Five stars!!

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced listening copy in exchange for my honest opinion. Normally the brother’s best friend trope is one of favourites but this one just wasn’t for me. I do love a small town and I think the seniors at Zumba were adorable. I also love when the MMC comes to take care of the FMC when she’s sick. Swoon.
But I found Shannon so immature it hurt. “Oh my god. You did not just say that!” has to be the line she says most to her roommate. And the fact that she can’t write a text made no sense considering she’s a young adult in 2023 (or whatever year it was). The female narrator didn’t really help the maturity factor either; something about her cadence made it worse.
I don’t think this was a great book for audio. Listening to them exchange single emojis back and forth was painful. I appreciate the premise but the execution missed the mark for me.

And the Getting Shipped! series continues! I love this series and the stories that come out of Bordeaux, Ohio - especially as a small town Ohioan myself.

We follow Duke and Shannon in a brothers best friend sort of story - which is very hit or miss for me. I did like this one though, but that could be because I’m already invested completely in this town and its residents. It follows a predictable path to a HEA and it’s funny and lighthearted throughout.

I’d say this can absolutely be read as a stand-alone, but I’d recommend the entire series!

Such a fun and light story about the ultimate forbidden romance. While Duke’s best friend is away while enlisted in the army, he’s been instructed to watch over his best friends little sister, Shannon. What neither party realizes is that they each have been pining for each other for years. As Duke and Shannon spend more time together one on one, their attraction blossoms to the point that it can no longer be denied. The challenge is how to keep their blossoming romance under wraps until Shannon’s brother returns from enlistment and a secret from the nosy small town of Bordeaux, Ohio where secrets don’t stay very secret for long.

This was such a fun read! Lots of silly moments, great friendships and swoony kisses. I’m so glad I was able to listen to an advanced audio copy of this story. Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own. The dual narrators did a fabulous job bringing Shannon and Duke’s story to life!

2.5⭐️, 0.5🌶️ - Clean, Brother’s Best friend Romance.

Book #4 in the Getting Shipped! series

I’m gonna summarize this quick because he’s I didn’t like this book , but I’m not gonna linger.

The complete immaturity of the characters of this book just was too ridiculous for me.

Duke being the “getting around bad boy” (but isn’t actually that much of a player) who’s best friends with Shannon’s brother who’s away in the military was already weird. But Shannon’s character just didn’t have any personality in this book. They both have been in love with each other for years and haven’t said anything to any of their friends.

The brothers best friend trope was SO BAD. The brother was trash, and the weird focus on him deserving to get his way for them not to be together just because he “served his country” was too toxic IMO. Petition to get rid of “he’s my best friend/ guys guys, but he’s trash for my sister.” ITS NOT GOOD.

Duke and Shannon were too quick to give up on each other at every problem, and the plot repeated itself on a will they-won’t they 4 times over.

This just was my definite least favorite book in the series so far. Which is sad cause for a clean romance series, I was enjoying books 1-3

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an audiobook copy of Censorshipped by Savannah Scott, narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron.

I love this series!! The characters are endearing, the stories engaging, and Bordeaux is charming in a Podunk kind of way.

I’m genuinely happy to see there are more Shipped books!

Thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for early access to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Here I am reading book 4 of the Getting Shipped series without reading the first 3. I couldn't resist requesting this one based on the cute cover and synopsis. I am always up for the Brother's Best Friend trope and this one was done superbly. If you like sweet romcoms with no steam (kissing only), I highly recommend giving this author a go. While these books are in a series, they can be read as stand alones. I look forward to catching up on the rest of the series now.

This book was truly entertaining and at times, laugh out loud funny. It was watching as Duke and Shannon navigated their growing feelings for each other by trying to stuff them down.

When that doesn't work, I enjoyed the sweetness of their burgeoning love. Too bad it was doomed to failure because Chris, Shannon's older brother, would never allow it.

It was also interesting to see Shannon and Duke wrestle up the courage to go after their dreams. Readers will be reminded that love is worth fighting for--even if there are people in your way.

I listened to an audiobook version of Censorshipped and was thoroughly entertained by both Amy McFadden and Will Damron's performances. They both did a great job of portraying the characters personality and emotions.

I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher through NetGalley; a positive review was not required.

Sweet romcom, off limits/ brothers best friend trope. I enjoyed this book. I have never read anything by Savannah Scott before but I will have to check out her other books!

I really had trouble listening to this audio, the quality of it I mean. And it completely stopped 88% in. Luckily I’ve read this book and loved it, so I’m giving the book itself 4 stars!

3.5 stars rounded up
Shannon and Duke have known each other forever. Shannon is Duke's best friend's, Chris, sister, and while Chris is away in the military, Duke promised him to take care of her. But how was he supposed to know that she was so into him?
This is book 4 in the Getting Shipped! series, and while I have only read books 3 and 4, this one is my favorite so far! I listened to the audio book, and while the narration was great, the part where the characters were texting were annoying. Also, they are both so into each other, but they are holding back for reasons I disagree with, it felt forced. Otherwise, it was a sweet and adorable brother's best friend, small town, clean romance with great tension.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I received this audiobook from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was drawn to this book by the blurb, which promised a brother’s best friend/sister romance, one of my favorite tropes. I really wanted to love this book, but there were some aspects that made me uncomfortable. However, let me start with what I liked.

I enjoyed the small town setting and the slow burn romance, which were well-written and realistic. I liked how the main characters supported and loved each other, and brought out the best in each other. The romance was sweet and swoon-worthy. I also appreciated the dual narration, which was well-done and added to the story. The grand gesture at the end made me smile a lot, as I’m a sucker for those.

What bothered me was the toxic masculinity displayed by the male main character. He kept making comments about his Harley being a sign of his manhood, or questioning his masculinity when he cried or did something cheesy. It was not a one-time thing, but a recurring pattern that turned me off. I wished he would have been more confident and secure in himself, without resorting to those stereotypes. I wanted a grumpy hero with a soft heart, but not one who felt the need to prove his masculinity all the time.

Overall, this was an entertaining story, and I think I would have loved it completely if it weren’t for that issue with the male main character.

I’m giving this book 3 stars because I liked the narration. I think I would have enjoyed it less if I had read it instead of listening to it.

This book started out really promising to me, the banter and dual POVs were interesting and good and the two main characters were likeable. But then I kept hearing things that let me know the book wasn't going to be a book that I enjoyed. There's a lot of lowkey toxic masculinity (how Duke and Shannon's brother, Chris, feel like they need to protect a 26 yr old woman to the point of light stalking? and this is their duty?) and offhand comments that were really enforcing a heteronormative worldview. There was also this point where the MC (Shannon) was rating her date on a number scale that felt very...rude.

It also felt like their repressed feelings in their POVs began to get very repetitive. I just wanted to the story to move along faster than it did.

I did really like both of the narrators!

If you like an ultra slow burn, light angst, little bit of overprotective douchery- this one's for you!

Thank you to netgalley and Dreamscape media for this audio ARC!

“Misunderstandings kill romance.” (True story)

This book was ADORABLE. It’s my fav book in the series so far with Battleshipped being a close 2nd place fav.

I just adored Duke so much, so it gave this one extra points in my book. Now I finally understand all of the hype about Duke.

Plus the audio narrators for this book were sooooo good. They added an extra something special to the book.

The entire shipped series is great, I think I have 3 more books left to finish the series. They are lighthearted, sweet, closed door romcoms that somehow still manage to be swoon-worthy. The cool thing is, if you’re late to the series you can read these books as standalones too.

Thank you NetGalley for letting me review this arc! I received this as an audiobook and really enjoyed the narration. It's a dual pov and both voice actors were great. The storyline was great def think it could have been sped up a little more. It's a slow burn and not spicey if that's a requirement for you. Overall I would recommend.

This was a sweet, friends to lovers story set in a quaint town and with characters I instantly connected with.

Is this groundbreaking? No. Did it feel predictable? Yes. Did I enjoy this? YES!!! Sometimes, something simple is just what you need and this fit the bill!
