Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced audio copy and ebook copy.
Sonya MacTavish has discovered that her late father had a twin brother whom he never knew about. Her uncle Collin, who recently passed away, left her almost everything he owned, including a manor on the coast of Maine. But there's a condition: she must live in the manor for at least three years. With her engagement called off and her job redundant, Sonya, a graphic designer who can work from anywhere, decides to move to the coast.
When Sonya arrives at the clifftop manor, she meets Trey Doyle, a young lawyer. Trey tells her that the place is haunted, which makes her uncomfortable. Trey's father and Collin were best friends, so Trey spent a lot of time in the house while growing up.
Strange things happen in the manor—objects move, music plays, fires roar in the hearths—all without Sonya doing anything. Can she break the curse and bring peace to the lost brides?
I really enjoyed this book and will definitely recommend it to others. As a long-time reader of Nora Roberts, I have read many of her trilogies and can't wait for the next part of this one.

I am new to the Nora Roberts fandom. I am a bit embarrassed because every single novel Ive read I have loved. I read her last trilogy and immediately knew I needed more. Inheritance was not the exception! I loved it, it is a ghost story, but it is also a mystery with fun and romantic elements. I have to admit this: I gasped so loud at the end!!!! Theres have to be a second book!!

I really like Nora Robert’s so this was another one of my favorites! I thought it was incredible and something I would recommend!

Inheritance by Nora Roberts is book 1 in the Lost Bride series. I’ve read and enjoyed many Nora Roberts books in the past, but it’s been years since I read one. This book is spellbinding. It is masterfully written. It will quickly capture your attention and not let go. I could not stop reading it. I don’t typically read books with ghosts because I don’t usually like them. This book had me caring about the wellbeing of the ghosts— a huge difference! Readers of many genres should enjoy this novel. When does book 2 come out?!? I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

No one spins a story like Nora and this one checked all the boxes for me. Haunted house, a legacy of cursed brides, paranormal romance with a witchy best friend…this story had me from the first pages and I read it straight through. I can’t wait for the next installment!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Just the cover alone of this book has me attracted to it. I listened to the audio version as well.
I absolutely loved this book.
Beautifully written. Nora Robert’s rarely disappoints.

I love the new series from Nora Roberts. She has been trying different things than her normal formula and I am loving it. I can not wait for the next book in this series.

Absolutely loved this book, in true Nora Roberts fashion … it had me from the first chapter. I hate to wait for the 2nd one. I loved the magic / mystery plot !! It definitely takes you to another universe!!

In the year 1806 in Poole’s Bay, a woman is married when she finds herself having her gold ring taken off while being murdered. She promises her husband that she will be with him always. In present time, Graphic Designer, Sophia McTravis finds out that her father had a twin brother. She can’t believe that her newly discovered Uncle Collin has left her everything he owned including a Victorian mansion in which shy must live in for three years to inherit his estate. Her recent engagement has been broken when she saw her fiancé in a compromising position. Sonya decides to go to live in the Victorian mansion known as Lost Bride manor. Why was it given this nickname? She is met at the manor by the lawyer, Trey realizes that Sonya is uneasy about the place and he admits that the place is haunted. Will Sonya stay or leave?
This is the first book of the trilogy. The suspenseful, mysterious novel about the Poole Bride curse and the haunting made me happy reading it. It is an enjoyable book to read. It’s a fun and quick read.

So this is interesting! First, I absolutely adored almost everything about this book, but I do have some questions regarding its positioning as a romance vs the non-romances that NR has been doing the last five or so years. Because I definitely thought I was getting a straightforward paranora series and this is not that, but I'm not necessarily MAD about it. Really liked the first couple, am interested in the second that's been set up, curious if we will get a third, excellent spooky house vibes to start spooky season. And that ending was an absolute killer, I would like to receive my email with Nora's publication schedule for 2024 immediately because I need answers!!!

Another masterpiece from Nora Roberts. I hope the next book comes out soon. Even with similar themes (magic. ghosts., friendships) each of her stories and characters feel unique and interesting rather than predictable and remind me which I constantly go back and re-read both Nora Roberts and JD Robb.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press as well as Nora Roberts herself for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Nora Roberts is always good. Always. No matter whether she’s writing as Nora Roberts or as J.D. Robb. This book is the start of a new series called The Lost Bride. This one is about Sonya MacTavish who is a graphic designer who receives an inheritance of a house from a long lost uncle that she didn’t know about. She must live in this house for three years. Sonya meets the handsome lawyer who’s in charge of the will meets her at the house who helps her realize that she has inherited far more than a house. She has also inherited a curse and a mystery…and maybe a ghost? Oh and Sonya just broke off her engagement so there’s that too.
Every book by this author is good. She absolutely shines at creating both likable and delightfully unlikable characters. Her stories are always addicting, particularly her trilogies. I love it when they’re paranormal. I love a good ghost story. I loved the protagonist. Strong and independent Sonya is fun ro get to know as is Trey, who is her love interest. I really loved hearing about the curse of “The Lost Bride”. I can’t wait for the next two books.
As much as I love Ms. Roberts’ books, they all follow a formula. A strong. Independent woman, who doesn't need a man, is presented with either a curse or a dangerous man. She always has either a dog or a horse or both. She builds her life through her grit and determination. She always has a love interest. There are always several canned speeches and then she overcomes everything. That’s the story every time whether it’s a thriller, a romance, a fantasy, or a paranormal romance. This story is no exception. That’s obviously not a bad thing as I always read them with immense pleasure. It is something that is notable. These are the only romances I always read though. So whatever works.

What an exciting start to a new trilogy! I’m really enjoying the new trilogy format with a larger overarching plot following one, or a couple relationships through the whole series. This book ended in a jaw dropping cliffhanger and I can’t wait for Book 2.

"The home." Oliver continued, "and all it contains, he left to you."
Shock was too mild a word. "I'm sorry, what? That's crazy. He didn't even know me."
"You're his brother's only child."
Sonya couldn't believe her ears. She had inherited a house. A manor. A mansion, apparently. She just had to move to a new town and live in it. It's all a lot to take in.
Add in the fact that the house is haunted. Legitimately haunted. Definitely a lot to get used to.
I really like this story and can't wait for more to come!

Nora Roberts is an absolute master at story telling. She weaves a tale that leaves you mesmerized and desperate for the next detail. Each word paints a picture for her readers as you try to solve the mystery that slowly unfolds. This story was positively amazing and you can’t wait until the next book is released.

Nora Roberts never disappoints! The suspense of history of the manor will always keep you in suspense. Sonya MacTavish long lost uncle leaves her a beautiful manor with the stipulation that she lives there for 3 years. It couldn't have came at a better time, since she has broken off her engagement. Sonya needs to navigate a curse set on the house.

What a great start to this series!! As always, Nora Roberts weaves a tale that is detailed and allows you to become invested in the characters and their stories. In this particular tale, we have ghosts, spooky things, the best of friends, and a little bit of romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it right up until there was a huge cliffhanger and now I am living for the next one to be released. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

stars 🌟 from me. It's been a little bit since I picked up a Nota Robert's book, but this one reminded me of everything I love about the author. Her books always entertain within the first few chapters. She has you loving the protagonist immediately. Plus, the stories are usually really original.
I'm still reeling at the end, and I need book 2 now. This was a story of a woman who was lost in her life and finds herself the lucky benefactor of her uncles mansion. The caveat is that she didn't know she had an uncle.🤷♀️ The story is methodical, interesting, and page turning. I'm going to start adding her books to my tbr again. 💕

Nora Roberts is just simply a remarkable writer. I’ve given The Inheritance book 1 of the lost bride series 4.5 stars. A complete review coming soon.

This is the first book in The Lost Bride Trilogy and starts the series off with a bang. Renowned, best-selling author, Nora Roberts, doesn't disappoint in this book. Wow, what a start to what's going to be an amazing suspense. Sonya is hit from all sides, catching her fiancé cheating on her with her cousin and receiving an inheritance from an uncle she never knew existed. This book is an emotional page-turner filled with secrets, ghosts and romance. Oh, of course, expect a cliffhanger since this is the first book in the trilogy. Can't wait for the next book. Amazing characters and a page-turning storyline. I read a free book via Net Galley and voluntarily chose to write a review.
