This is the 4th release in this engaging cozy series "Antique Bookshop Mystery Series" by cozy author Laura Gail Black. I have read the entire series and it is always a fun read. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinions are my own.

Jenna is our protagnist and is attending a popular fishing contest with a booth where she hopes to sell her books. When a murder occurs a local ex cop is primary suspect number one. Jenna has a talent for solving murders and is determined to prove he is innocent even though he expressly does not welcome her help. Her boyfriend works for the police and wants her to help . The suspect is his friend and former partner. Jenna and her friends are on the case solving the clues and red herrings that abound in this case.

A fun cozy read with all the right elements for a suspensful sleuth. I enjoy the charcters, the atmospheric setting and the growth of Jenna as a protagnist and likable charcter. The antiquarian book referances are wonderful and add to this readers TBR list. Well done to the author. I highly recommend this series for all cozy readers.

This was a fun light read that helped to cleanse my palette after reading so much heavy historical fiction! I don’t usually gravitate towards cozy types of novels, but after this, I think I will.

Return to Hokes Folly, North Carolina and spend some time with Jenna Quinn and her friends. It is time for the annual fishing festival and Jenna is excited to offer all the fishing related books she can in her booth. One of the local authors is found dead in his booth and a former detective is accused of the murder. This is the same detective that does not trust Jenna and has accused her of murder a few times. As much as Jenna wants to stay as far away from the investigation as she can, things just aren't adding up. Jenna reluctantly decides to try to find the real killer. Will she be able to figure it out or will an innocent man be convicted? I really enjoy spending time with Jenna and her friends.

Good continuation of the series. The murderer was very obvious from the second or third encounter of the character.

Caught on the Book by Laura Gail Black is a fun and intriguing read, perfect for the summer and reading in the backyard or at the beach under an umbrella.
Once again the characters are well-rounded and come across as someone you might actually come across in your daily life. The mystery is complex, with a good number of suspects that keep you going back and forth as to who the guilty party is right to the very end. It is also timely, pulling from the news to story of stuffing fish with lead to win fishing competitions.
The cover is absolutely lovely and is sure to catch the attention of bookstore browsers.
I received an ARC of #CaughtontheBook from #NetGalley .

Jenna Quinn, owner of the Twice Upon A Time bookstore, is manning her fishing theme book booth at the annual fishing tournament. When an author is found dead in one of the booths, former detective Frank Sutter is suspected of committing the murder as the author was dating Sutter's estranged wife. Keith Logan, Sutter's former partner and Jenna's boyfriend is pulled off the case. He asks Jenna to investigate.
As Jenna looks into the murdered author's past, it is revealed that he may have stolen other writers' books and passed them off as his own. While Jenna and Sutter have a contentious past, she's not convinced Sutter is guilty. Will Jenna uncover the real killer before it's too late?

Jenna, Keith, and the gang are back!

If you’re new to Hokes Folly, North Carolina, Welcome! This is an excellent read. Besides one or two oblique references to the previous books, this is a welcoming book, ready for the new reader or experienced fan.

Jenna is the owner of Twice Upon A Time, a secondhand and antique bookstore. We return soon after the events in Bound by Murder. Jenna is participating in her first John J Hokes Bass Festival. For three days businesses will have tent space by the lake.

On opening day Detective Frank Sutter, Keith’s former partner shows up causing a scene. He accuses his wife Emma of cheating with local author Gregory Hurst and threatens to kill him. He even accuses Jenna and Keith of conspiring against him. Keith finally, manages to remove him from the festival. The next day Jenna arrives early to set up and shop. On her way back to her tent she sees Frank headed to Gregory’s tent and attempts to side track him so he doesn’t make a second scene, possibly getting himself arrested. He goes right up though and in front of witnesses hits Gregory in the face! Causing the police to remove him. On the final day of the festival, Jenna and Keith are by the lake when they hear screaming. Racing to the sound they find Emma with a knife and Greg dead on the floor of his author's tent. Bloody shoe prints lead to Frank's immediate arrest.

Keith doesn’t believe Frank, did it. He asks Jenna to find out the truth using her special brand of charm. In the process, Jenna finds out a host of secrets. Her house is robbed and Frank winds up hospitalized. Leading to a life saving diagnosis. Now can Jenna figure out who really killed Greg without ending up dead herself?!

5 *****

I enjoyed this book which was at times hilarious and poignant. The mystery was slightly twisty and completely enjoyable. It also dealt gracefully with health issues and aging. I would recommend it to anyone!

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of CAUGHT ON THE BOOK (Book 4 of the Antique Shop Bookshop Mysteries) by Laura Gail Black in exchange for an honest review. Bookseller Jenna Quinn is excited to offload some of her slow-selling backstock of fishing books by presenting them at a sales booth at the annual fishing tournament and festival. When a local author who had been dating Frank Sutter’s ex-wife is murdered on the festival grounds, the former detective becomes the prime suspect. Jenna, at her detective boyfriend’s request, attempts to aid in the investigation. However, Frank, who had been forced to retire after his repeated illogical attempts to pin other killings on Jenna, does not want Jenna’s help. Jenna persists and figures out there were more people who wanted the victim dead than a spurned spouse.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of the series. I recommend this series to fans of cozy murder mysteries centered around an antique bookshop.

Caught on the Book by Laura Gail Black is book #4 in the Antique Bookshop series. A murder disrupts the John J. Hokes Bass Festival. Author Gregory Hurst is found stabbed with a charcurerie knife. Amateur sleuth Jenna Quinn's former nemesis retired Detective Frank Sutter is the chief suspect. Detective Sutter is Jenna's boyfriend, Keith's former partner so he asks her to try to find the murderer. Keith is taken off the case so as there won't be any accusations of a cover-up, This is a tricky case. Jenna is a clever investigator. I really liked her thought process during her investigation. I enjoyed the suspense in this book.

This is the fourth book in the Antique Bookshop series and I have read them all. As with the previous books, this is a five-star read for me. I really liked the plot and the mystery was intriguing. I prefer when sleuths actually go sleuthing and not just stumble upon clues. Jenna is determined to find out what happened to the author, and it was a fun ride with an ending that took me by surprise.

The ending hinted at what was coming in the next book, and I am here for it! :)

Highly recommend this book that comes out October 3.

Having only read part of this series, this was a fun and enjoyable read that kept me guessing throughout, even if fishing is not my thing!

Another fun read in this series. This has developed into a good series with a lot of interesting secondary characters. Thanks to #NetGalley for the chance to catch up with Jenna, Keith and company. In this book Jenna finds herself doing something she never thought possible, trying to find out who is framing her nemesis Frank for a murder. With, Keith as his former partner, removed from the case, he is counting on Jenna to figure out what is going on and making sure the police don't miss anything. With plenty of movement on a lot of fronts, this was a quick enjoyable read!

Jenna gets involved in a murder case again, this time at (her boyfriend/police detective) Keith’s request. The victim was a real piece of work and the accused is a former cop who was Keith’s partner, so that makes things more than a little sticky. The publisher's blurb is a good hook, so there's no need to recap, and spoilers are just wrong.
This is a really good murder mystery with characters I could relate to, blind plot twists, and inventive red herrings. I loved it!
It is both a good addition to series and also capable as a stand-alone.
I requested and received a free e-book copy from Crooked Lane Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Jenna Quinn is a bookseller and the owner of Twice Upon A Time. She is also a nosy sleuth. Jenna has a history of being accused of murders she didn't commit, thanks to the ex - police officer Frank Sutter. Jenna has a booth selling her books at the local fishing festival and a co- booth owner is found dead on the last day of the festival. The said ex- police officer is accused of the crime since the victim George Hurst was seeing his soon to be ex - wife and Frank had openly threatened him.

George Hurst is a local author with a cloud of suspicion over him with several people accusing him of plagiarizing their work and selling under his name.

Jenna's police detective boyfriend Keith Logan who is also Frank Sutter's ex partner is kept away from the case so as to not sully the case with his bias. Keith requests Jenna to investigate the case on his behalf so that they can prove that Frank hasn't killed George.

This book was a fun and fast read that I enjoyed thoroughly. The twist and the real culprit was unexpected. I loved the books setting. I just was a little at sea since I haven't read the earlier books in this series and took a little time to understand the characters and their interplay, but I still had a good time reading this one.

Thank you to Net Galley and Crooked Lane Books for this ARC.

This is the fourth book in the Antique Bookshop Mystery series. I usually don't like to start a series so far in but decide to give this one a try. I am so glad I did. Great mystery with lovable characters and so well written. I had to go and get the other books in the series.

Small town murder mystery
Used book store owner, Jenna, accompanied by her dog and staff are running a used book booth at a town fair. Someone is murdered and the pool of suspects has plenty of members. She digs up bits of info for her boyfriend Keith, a police officer, who partnered a suspect and appearances must be maintained. Ms. Black leads us on few twists and turns, making this who dun it a fun intrigue. I recommend to any cozy lover.
I requested and received a Netgalley Arc to peruse gratis and offer my opinion in the same.
