Another very enjoyable cozy in this series. This one takes place outside the bookstore for the most part. Likable characters and an interesting mystery. This is book #4 of the series and it continues to hold my interest and I will continue as new books come out.

Another good story in this fun cozy mystery series. This one has Jenna being forced to be nice to Frank, the local cop who always tries to pin things on her. When his soon to be ex-wife is found over her current dead lover, Frank is at the top of the list of suspects. Good story, and like how the reader is led with clues. Good story and one I highly recommend.

In Caught on the Book by Laura Gail Black, a murder happens at the annual fishing festival in Hokes Folly, Jenna Quinn, has to help prove the innocence of her boyfriends ex partner.

I look forward to each new instrument in the Antique Bookshop Mysteries, and this book doesn't disappoint. You see more of Henna and Keith's relationship in this book, which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed the spin that Jenna has to prove the innocence of the cop who was previously accusing her of committing every crime that happens in the town. I also love all of Jenna's sayings *holy hot pickles* they are just too funny. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to fir the next installment.

Thank you Netgallery and Crooked Lane Books for the ARC

I have enjoy the previous book. There were elements of this one that were enjoyable. There were ones that just weren't quite believable. The accusations were tenuous at best. I had the culprit pegged right away. It was an average cozy for a lazy afternoon

Caught on the Hook is the fourth book in this enjoyable series. Jenna's boyfriend Keith is a police detective who asks for her help to unofficially investigate a local murder. He cant get involved as the main suspect is his former partner Frank, who is now retired. The victim was an author who was dating Franks wife. This was another fun read that kept me guessing till the end. Lots of red herrings, cute pets. Romance. likeable main characters, lots of suspense. I can't wait to read the next book in this fun series!

Caught on the Book is the 4th book in the series. It takes place in Hokes Folly, North Carolina. Jenna Quinn is the main character who owns Twice Upon a Time book shop. Keith is Jenna's boyfriend and policeman. Jenna has a booth at the John J. Hokes Bass Festival. Rita Wallace is Jenna's best friend and works at the Hokes Buff Inn. Mason Craig works for Jenna at her bookstore.

Frank Sutter, Keith's former partner, arrives at the festival appearing drunk. He has words with Gregory Hurst, a novelist who writes thrillers as well as works as an investigative journalist for the Hokes Folly Dispatch and his wife, Emma Sutter, who he is separated from. Frank is angry that his wife is seeing Greg and says he has lost everything, his wife, house and his job as a policeman. He threatens that he will kill the man who is with his wife.

At the festival Lavinia Sioddin, head of the Woman's League of Public Safely and her friends Helen Gigby and Elizabeth North are out to get Jenna as they feel that ever since she came to town there have been murders and the town has become unsafe. There are other characters in the story that add to the story.

Keith and Jenna arrive at the festival early to set up for the day. They hear a scream and find Emma sitting over Greg's body. Later Frank is arrested. Keith is not allowed to be on the investigation team as he was Frank's partner. Keith asks Jenna to look into the murder. Jenna and Rita go to speak to Emma and she tells them that Greg was looking into corruption in the fishing tournament. She gives them his black book.

Jenna goes to Frank's boat to talk to him. While there Frank is found on the floor unconscious and rushed to the hospital. This is where the story takes off with a lot of suspects as Jenna tries to figure out what is happening to Frank as well as who killed Greg. It comes out that Greg has taken manuscripts from other writers and had them published as his own. I will leave it to the reader to find out everything as there is too much to put on paper. The story comes to a climax of who killed Greg and why. The other ending of the story is a happy one with Jenna and Keith getting engaged as well as Frank renting Jenna's apartment next to Rita and becoming the security guard protecting that area of town,

I look forward to the next adventure of Jenna and her friends. It was a fun read.

Thank you NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for this ARC.

The annual fish tournament is in full swing and Jenna has a booth at the event, hoping to sell a boatload of books on fishing she got an estate sale. When a local author is found dead in his booth the next morning, Keith asks Jenna to investigate as his ex partner on the police force is the prime suspect. Even though the man wasn’t a fan of Jenna’s, she ca’t let an innocent man get railroaded, so she agrees.

With a slew of suspects on the hook, Jenna suspects the murder could be tied to the tournament, a group of local writers, or maybe even both. But she needs evidence in order to take any of her suspicions to the police. Can Jenna find the true culprit and clear Frank, or will she bait the killer too far and end up on the hook herself?

I’ve been reading this series since the first entry and it’s been great each and every entry. Seeing the progression of the lives in Holkes Folly along with the Whodunit is what makes this so much fun. You really get wrapped up in the mystery and the solving of it as well as the lives of the locals woh are part and parcel of the series.

Another fantastic cozy mystery. This is Book #4 in the Antique Bookshop series and the first one that I have read. It follows Jenna, the bookshop owner, investigating another crime in a small community in North Carolina. This time her police boyfriend Keith's retired ex-partner is framed for the murder of his ex-wife's boyfriend during the town's fishing tournament. Jenna cannot help but get involved in the investigation, as she does not believe he committed this crime.

This mystery book has it all....fun quirky small town characters, a murderous crime with twists and turns, and a slew of suspects. It kept me guessing until the end. Closed door romance was a perfect highlight to this book. I cannot wait to read the other three books in this series and hopefully there is a book #5 to look forward to. I 100% recommend this book for cozy mysteries lovers. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. My review and honest opinions are all mine.

This series’ third book was excellent and it made me super excited for the next book in the series and it did not disappoint. The mystery was good and I really enjoyed Jenna and Rita’s investigation. Keith and Jenna’s relationship growth was also really nice to see along with Jenna’s appreciation of Mason’s hard work. My best take away from this book is Eddie needs a cat!!! Thank you to NetGally for the ARC for my honest opinion.

Just love a good mystery! Most enjoyable read. Romance, mystery, murder... Everything you need in a good book.

It's quite nice, but not the very best in the genre, I'm afraid. I didn't find the plot very original and the characters felt a little two dimensional for me. Unfortunately I wasn't really drawn into the story.
Still, it is only my personal opinion. Others might still enjoy it a lot.

Mixing antique books in a cozy? Genius! This book is another first for me as I had never heard of this author until recently. I was not disappointed. It has a lot of my favorite things in it: romance, antique books, good friends, animals, and a whole lot of intrigue. I didn't have any issues trying to figure out who everyone was and everything else flowed seamlessly. The mystery was a good one, filled with lots of red herrings and plot twists. I had a feeling who I thought the murderer was, but it wasn't until the very end that I could actually confirm that I had it right.

I thought the town and all of its people were a very nice blend with a variation of the charming folk some type, the troublemakers, the gossips, and the regular folks. The world building was very nice. I could imagine everything as it was happening.

The characters were nice and fleshed out and I really enjoyed Jenna, Keith, Mason, and Rita a whole lot. They seem like a put together type of family. I also enjoyed the way everything was written. I didn't have to wait long for loose ends to be tied up. Even though I am starting at book four, I loved it enough that it makes me want to go back and read the other books and that to me is a huge selling point.

Jenna has obviously had a lot of issues in the past, but it hasn't caused her heart to harden and to shut others out. I really admired that. I have known a lot of other people who have gone through far less in their life and it has left them bitter. And the cute way she uses phrases to 'curse.' They made me laugh and I thought that was charming. You don't have to use vulgar words to get your point across.

I enjoyed this book a whole lot and I am definitely recommending it. I am so glad that I found this author and was introduced to her series.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers, and to Laura Gail Black for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are mine and are completely honest.

#CaughtontheBook #NetGalley is the fourth book in this terrific series.
Jenna is preparing for the annual fishing tournament and hopes to sell a few books at her booth.
It's no secret to anyone that Jenna and Frank Sutter aren't the best of friends, especially when he aggressively pursed her as the perpetrator in a murder investigation.
His odd behaviors are troublesome to Jenna, and when she finds out his wife left him, she shares her concerns with her boyfriend Keith, a local police detective.
Frank's wife is keeping company with a local author, but he seems to have secrets of his own.
When the author is found dead, Frank is the prime suspect, but Jenna can't believe he's guilty of murder.

This is a fantastic book, it gripped me from the beginning and I was shocked by who really did it!
I highly recommend this book to all readers, it's a great cozy mystery with fun, likeable characters.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

Thank you @netgally for the ARC of Laura Gail Black's 4th book in the "An Antique Bookshop Mystery" series, "Caught on the book." I found the title suited the first parts of the story well since it starts out with a fishing fare and tournament going on. I did have to go and read the first three books in the series really quick before I could jump into this one. I tried to start it off as a standalone, but I found this whole series is best when read in order.

I am glad that a few character relationships have progressed nicely. We aren't getting a super drug out buildup of Jenna and Keith's relationship or more drama around that as far as love triangles may go. I really enjoyed Frank in this book as well. In previous books he was super annoying but I'm glad they're flushing out their differences and finding a peace. I look forward to seeing where this series goes and wouldn't have probably picked it up any time soon if it hadn't been for receiving this ARC. So, thank you!
