Buzz Books are very useful guides for readers, helping them to plan for the next season. Long excerpts help to check whether a particular book is a good choice. I appreciate that there is always a non-fiction section, as that is the genre I read most.
Thanks to Publishers Lunch and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

Another great volume from Buzz Books! My TBR list just grows and grows each time a new volume of Buzz Books comes out. I am especially looking forward to The Madstone by Elizabeth Crook, The Busy Body by Kemper Donovan, The Last Love Note by Emma Grey, Midnight is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead, and First Lie Wins by Ashley Easton.

I always look forward to the biannual Buzz Books editions for the coming seasons. They provide a comprehensive summary of books being published in the subsequent months. They help me add to my “To Read” list and give me something to anticipate in advance.

Really appreciate that you put these volumes together and share them on NetGalley. Also appreciate the email notification when they are coming out and have been released. The number of books to navigate is daunting so sources like this are immensely helpful

Pros: I love when NetGalley has these samplers because it helps me narrow down what books to request. There are several authors in this sampler that I've read before (Lauren Groff, Kiley Reid) and know I want to read their next novels. There are also a few new-to-me authors that I look forward to exploring.
Cons: None!
Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch Book Buzz for the opportunity to read a bit from these books!

I love getting the sneak peeks of the buzzed about books for the upcoming season. It makes it easy to help our patrons get excited about upcoming releases.

This was one of the best Buzz Books yet because of the vast selection it offered. I always look forward to these because it gives me a chance to sample books I might not otherwise end up picking up or knowing about. I’ve found a lot of awesome books this way and found quite a few (10+) that I’m going to request and plan to read when they come out via this sampler. Thank you again NetGalley for a wonderful sampler and offering this opportunity- you never disappoint!

Buzz Book is a great way to start filling out my TBR list for the coming season. I have found so many great books through this publication.

What a collection. Very thorough. My first time reading a Buzz Books collection. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Great content. Five stars!

I always look forward to these samplers from Buzz Books! It’s great being able to get a glimpse of upcoming books as well as read snippets of books that were already on my radar.

As always, a great sampling at what’s coming. Great for adding to TBR and requesting on NetGalley. I can’t wait to read some of these books now.

Flipping through these catalogues and sampling some of the great and exciting books to come out is always one of my favourite things to do. Buzzbooks always do a great job of presenting their notable releases in one place. This time was no different. Fall and winter 2023 have some great and promising releases on the horizon.
My top 5 of the catalogue were:
- Dead in Long Beach, California by Venita Blackburn
Grief, trauma and flawed coping mechanisms, blurring the line between fiction and reality in a speculative horror novel. It’s giving me Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward and a bit of In the Mouth of Madness-vibes, so I’m excited to see where it takes us.
- The Vulnerables – Sigrid Nunez
described as a novel about what it means to be alive at this complex moment in history and considers how our present reality affects the way a person looks back on her past. All of that through the eyes of a young woman and her connections with others close to her, including her parrot Eureka. If the relationship between dog and owner in The Friend are anything to go by, I’m excited for another human-animal-companion-interaction-story by this author.
- The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff
Lauren Groff writes a historical novel about a girl surviving alone in the wilds; a tale of America in miniature about adaptation and survival against all odds. It sounds ambitious, but given the authors track-record, I’m confident enough she will pull it off.
- Land of Milk and Honey by C. Pam Zhang
Given the beautiful imagery and use of language in her debut, I can’t wait to see what Pam Zhang does with a novel all about food and the senses….
- Blackouts by Justin Torres
This is a bit of a wildcard as I know the least about it, but the concept of a death-bed-story-telling-session between loved ones intrigued me and the authors writingstyle in the excerpt was sublime.
Finally, as an honourable mention, Jonathan Abernathy, You Are Kind by Molly McGhee. I was intrigued by the cover and the synopsis, but i’m not convinced that I personally love the style. I will be waiting for some more reviews from other readers I love before deciding on this one.

This is my first time downloading a Buzz Books Summary. I will definitely be looking out for more of these! I love finding out about books to look forward to. I can usually tell if I'm going to love a book or not within the first few paragraphs so I also appreciate the sample attached to each title.

I LOVE The Buzz Books series from Publishers Lunch! Thank you so much for the inside scoop on what will be big in the coming season, and especially for the generous excerpts. The Buzz Books download always informs my purchasing decisions, reader’s advisory, and “TBR” list for the Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award Committee! I especially love to peruse the Buzz Books for potential crossover titles that will be popular with faculty members. This season I am especially excited to start reading The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff, Midnight Is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead, and Last Girl Breathing by Court Stevens! Many thanks, and I look forward to future Buzz Books Compilations!

I love this series and look forward to the new one every few months. I refer to it consistently. Thank you for my copy.

Buzz Books 2023: Fall/Winter is a huge collection of excerpts from the most highly anticipated releases for the second half of the year. I loved learning about new novels and reading samples. This sampler is massive and has something for everyone. It includes Fiction, Debut, Nonfiction, and Young Adult book samples. Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for providing this great collection.

As always, a fantastic resource for getting new books on your radar and the samples/excerpts while not always up your street offer an insight you can't really get many other places before said book is published which is a helpful thing for lots of readers, myself included.

A comprehensive guide that includes upcoming books for Fall/Winter 2023. A great preview for those of us who review on Netgalley! I loved how this guide included summaries and excerpts for select books, including debut authors!

Always so grateful for the opportunity to read these excerpts and preview great new titles. This helps me to plan my reading and even which titles I want to request from Netgalley.

I always love these samplers because they allow me to get a taste of the books that will be coming up so that I can be prepared to request and/or buy the ones that strike my fancy. It's especially nice to get sense of the writing style of debut authors so I can know ahead of time if I will be likely to enjoy their books.
