Even though I have hundreds of books on my Goodreads 'want to read' shelf as well as on my physical shelves at home, I'm always on the lookout for a new title and BuzzBooks never disappoints!

As always, the titles included in this volume (Fall/Winter 2023) were all good but a few stood out for me and I will be adding them to my TBR shelf.

Hold my Girl by Charlene Carr (publication date: 10/10/23; publisher: Sourcebooks)
The Busy Body by Kemper Donovan (publication date: 1/23/24; publisher: Kensington Books)
The Last Love Note by Emma Grey (piblication date: 11/7/23; publisher: Zibby Books)
The Djinn Waits a Hundred Years by Shubrum Khan (publication date: 1/9/24; publisher: Penguin Random House)
Midnight is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead (publication date: 10/3/23; publisher: Sourcebooks)
First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston 9publication date: 1/9/24; publisher: Penguin Random House)
The Night of the Storm by Nishita Parekh 9publication date: 1/16/24; Penguin Random House)

I always enjoy when the new Buzz Books comes out to see what books are coming soon! So many great titles are coming this fall and I can't wait to read many of them. Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to get a little sneak peak.

Some books in here by perennial faves like Lauren Groff and Sigrid Nunez, plus some exciting discoveries. I hadn't read anything by Nnedi Okorafor, but was quite swept up by the voice of her excerpt. Also was quite taken with the passage from Alice Carrière's memoir--the porousness of the house she describes having grown up in seems to waft into the prose itself, which is pervaded by a dreamlike gauziness punctuated by sharp bursts of observation and insight, as though we are somnambulating into them, absorbing their lucidity, then returning to the trance. Pretty thrilled about C Pam Zhang's novel excerpt--as with most great food writing, there's a sumptuousness here, but there's also a sense of scarcity and want, and language wielded like cutlery and cutting board.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book.

I always enjoy skimming through this to see what books are coming soon and if my favorite authors have anything coming out soon

I love when I can get my hands on a Buzz Books compilation. I realise the books are intended for a US market but I still enjoy reading the excerpts. I am never disappointed. I always find a couple of titles that interest me and I look out for availability. Sometimes I have to wait and sometimes a title has already been published in the UK.

A couple of titles interest me this time. Hold My Girl (Charlene Carr) and The Happy Couple (Naoise Dolan). I also like the sound of The Busy Body (Kemper Donovan).

It's always good to come across an unfamiliar author (established or new) whose writing captures your imagination.

so many great titles. as per usual i found the way that these upcoming releases are divided somewhat confusing, as some of the titles are listed in a rather arbitrary way. anyhow, great to have an overview of upcomig releases

Great compilation! I found several books I want to read and enjoyed the overview. How lucky we are to have Netgalley and get the lead on exciting new books!

These Publisher’s Lunch Buzz Book titles have become my go to book reference tool! As a “80% and staying there” reviewer, the lists help me hone in on thoughtful and well curated NetGalley requests. No more give it a go for me - I am super selective about the titles I request and when I venture out of my trusted genre lane these previews become even more important. I currently have a positive reviews only pledge on my Instagram page @bookshelfbybeckwith, making my selection process even more important.

I especially love the debut author selection and appreciate having comprehensive summaries of new books before I commit to reading. There is simply nothing better than finding a new voice in a highly competitive publishing field and Buzz Books information helps me find just the right titles.

Thank you for continuing to publish these fabulous reference tools!

I enjoyed reading this and sampling upcoming releases. Discovered a lot of new titles through this collection and I'm looking forward to the Fall/Winter 2023 season!

I always enjoy reading book samplers since I can try out the book excerpts before getting copies of the books. I am going to read some of these books, but not all of them. It was nice to get this book sampler for free.

Great sampler of a selection of books coming out in the next few months. I've requested galleys of quite a few. Others I didn't feel fit my blog's vibe but I'm personally interested in them and have added them to my TBR. It is quite long, though (almost 900 pages!), so if there was an option for future samplers to renew the time to read the download, I could spend more time reading and considering each sample rather than racing through.
