Brooke is having trouble writing her latest book and instead of sending in the book she should, she sends her editor a book that she wrote about her fantasies about him by mistake. Oops! Brooke has had the hots for her editor Chase from their first meeting and when she finds out he has read the book she wrote about him she is mortified! But he loves it and pushes for it to be published. They are a tight deadline to publish, but she has other work commitments as her previous books are being turned in to a TV series and she needs to go on a tour to promote it. Chase offers to drive her as she does not like flying and they end up in a RV together for three weeks traveling across the US. Brooke has a medical condition that causes her to pass out and she has an amazing service dog who looks out for her. Brooke is quirky, funny, scared, passionate and very talented. Chase is handsome, smart and dedicated to his work. He was also very nice and passionate about what mattered to him. I really loved Brooke’s connection with her dog Benji and I loved the addition of both of their sisters. I’m looking forward to Sammy’s story! This was a fun read with a misunderstanding getting in their way but they work their way through it and get the happy ever after we want.

Accidental Attachment is a seriously fun rom-com. If you’ve read Max Monroe before you know you’re in for a hilarious ride. This book is a low angst, slow burn; so if you’re looking for a fun book with lots of heart this is the one for you. Chase is the best book boyfriend; a total cinnamon roll. And Brooke is hilarious with all her antics. And her service dog Benji often steals the scene with his heroism & costumes.

This is Max Monroe’s longest book yet but it’s packed with their signature humor. Chase and Brooke are perfect for each other. They really do get each other and it makes what would be flaws to someone else, attractive to the other. It was also a fun peek inside the life of a writer and the editing process.

Don’t forget to read the extended epilogue especially since it looks to be a nice peek into the next book about Brooke’s sister who definitely needs a happy ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This was such a cute rom com! I flew through this book!

Brooke is a writer and she accidentally sends the wrong file to her editor, Chase. What she sends is a steamy fiction that she wrote just for herself, and it’s all about her and Chase.
The characters were great! I loved the promotion roadtrip, forced proximity in an RV, and the adorable service dog named Benji ❤️ This book was charming, funny, and so heartwarming! Such a fun and enjoyable read! Definitely add to your tbr list!

Sassy, sweet and utterly hilarious, Accidental Attachment is officially a hit.

With awesome characters, a captivating plot and the ultimate meet-cute turned HEA, this book had me swooning (without the aid of a medical condition). Proving that sometimes two wrongs CAN make a right, Brooke and Chase's comedy of errors, fumbles and bathroom squirrel attacks is the perfect cure for the Monday blues, Tuesday feels, and hump day hurdles all in one package.

A special mention goes out to MVP narrators CJ Bloom and Joe Arden for their incredible performance, breathing life and laughter into these characters fabulous characters, making this hilarious, lighthearted and so meta rom com better than my wildest dreams.

5 stars and a canine sidekick

I'm always excited to read a new Max Monroe romantic comedy and Accidental Attachment did not disappoint. The blurb makes it sound as fun and awkward as it was. The author duo was back with laughs, a swoony romance, way too many awkward moments, and a dog in superhero outfits.

Brooke was... I honestly don't even know how to describe her. In her own mind, she's awkward and constantly embarrasses herself. Probably because a lot of what she was thinking was NSFW. She didn't come across that way to others. She was witty and charming. I had a love-hate relationship with her vasovagal syncope diagnosis. I liked that vasovagal syncope was spotlighted because I think I've only seen it in one other book, but I didn't always love how it was used in a comedic light. That's probably just because I have the same diagnosis (completely different triggers and luckily mine is not as prevalent as Brooke's). I think most of my discomfort revolved around the peeing thing because I haven't heard of anyone with the diagnosis having that, but then again, I only know of a few people personally who have it.

Chase was supposed to be the perfect guy according to Brooke, and he came across that way to me as well. He was such a nice guy. Even his flaws weren't bad ones. I liked how he didn't realize the book was about him and how hard he fought for it to be a success. I also loved how he reacted to Brooke and also her dog.

I loved the background of Brooke and Chase's romance. They went a book tour road trip together in a motorhome along with Brooke's service dog. I loved reading about their adventures together and how they got to know each other better. There were so many fun and hilarious moments for them to experience. I also loved how their feelings for each other built and how their chemistry couldn't be denied.

There were some great side characters who joined Brooke and Chase for the ride. Benji, Brooke's service dog was a great character all on his own in his superhero getup. Her family also made some fun appearances. I'm really excited to read her sister Sammy's book. And Chase's sister and husband were great as well. My favorite might have been Brooke's agent, Wilson Phillips. Yes, Wilson Phillips. Imagine what Max and Monroe did with that name...

This book had almost everything I've come to love from a Max Monroe rom com. That being said, it felt like a little something was missing from what I would normally take away from one of their books. The only thing that I can pick out is that at 581 pages it might have been too much of a slow burn for me. There's so much pining on both Brooke and Chase's parts that I wanted to yell, "Just do it already!". Give me a kiss or something. Anything. I still enjoyed this book a whole heck of a lot. Like I said before, I'm excited to read Sammy's book. The extended epilogue for this book made sure of that.

I've had Max Monroe on my radar for a while, so Accidental Attachment sounded like the perfect book to get me started and dip my toes in the MM waters...

Boy was I right!

This book is everything. From the quirkiness, to the witty banter, to the adorably super service dog. I loved everything about this story and the lovable characters that came with it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Max Monroe LLC for the advanced digital copy for my review. I am still laughing to myself thinking about what I just read, and that is 100% an amazing thing.

ARC and ALCs were provided via Netgalley and the publisher.

The thing that I love about Max Monroe's titles is the manic chaotic good that their characters emanate. As a reader of their titles, I find that I am not only endeared to them, and laugh-out-loud amused by them, but I always really root for the characters to succeed in their relationship attempt but also whatever is going on in the plot too.

In this case, Brook sends the wrong file to her editor and ends up spiraling when what she sends is not only so good that it's worthy of publication but also a steamy fan-fiction of her and said editor. Add in a promotion roadtrip, forced proximity in an RV, and some seriously cut up funny but heartwarming moments ... this is a classic Max Monroe rom-com. A truly enjoyable, fun read!

Let me just say that I love, love this cover!! This was a lovely book chock full of laugh out loud moments. I absolutely adored Brooke. She was witty and you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth. I loved her friendship with Benji, they were just the cutest and I thought it was pretty cool reading a book with a service dog. Chase is the ultimate catch! He had that whole southern hospitality going for him and he was utterly smitten with Brooke. I liked how we king of got a story within a story, which is how Brooke got herself into this situation with Chase. I really enjoyed Chase and Brooke's story and their hilarious family members!

Brooke is an author struggling to write a follow-up to her successful soon-to-be on TV fantasy series, and on the date of her deadline mistakenly sends her editor, Chase, a romance novel that is inspired by him. Unfortunately for an extremely embarrassed Brooke, Chase loves what she sent and is hell bent on getting it published. This leads to an RV tour across country and a bunch of hilarity ensues.

Accidental Attachment by Max Monroe had it all! I didn’t think anything could top The Redo, but this book just raised the bar! I absolutely loved everything about Brooke and Chase. They’re great characters on their own, but together they just created so much magic. This was the perfect fun read, and definitely a one of my new favorites from Max Monroe!

Thank you again to NetGalley and the authors for a chance to read and review an advanced copy of this book!

Brooke and Chase

This is so good! It works on so many levels - road trip, forced proximity, big lie... Brooke is a hot mess, but so funny and her chronic condition and service dog make her so approachable and somehow relatable, even if the reader isn’t familiar with her condition. She manages it with grace and such a wonderful relationship with a gorgeous dog - superhero suits!

Chase is a cinnamon roll in the best way - he’s funny and charming and sexy and absolutely delicious. The way he treats Brooke is just so wonderful to read. The whole meta-story about her novel and how it plays out for them is so clever and a wonderful wink between the writer(s) and the reader.. I love it. This is my first book by Max Monroe and I’m looking forward to reading more. Recommend this to anybody who loves a funny, happy romcom with a sassy FMC, slow burn, swoony steam, and minimal miscommunication. Lynn Painter fans will love it!

Thanks a million to NetGalley for the ARC.

Accidental Attachment, how much do I love thee?? Let me count the ways...

1) Chase is the perfect cinnamon roll love interest. He's kind, compassionate, and always makes sure Brooke is comfortable no matter the situation and no matter how UNcomfortable it might make him.

2) Brooke's internal monologue made me pee my pants from laughing so hard. The fact that she's never quite sure whether she actually spoke the bizarre thoughts is just icing on the comedic cake.

3) THE CAMEOS!!! This book is meta and I love it! I felt like the meme of Leo sitting in the recliner, pointing at his TV every time a character from another book popped up.

4) Wilson Phillips. Enough said.

5) Forced proximity. Friends to lovers. Slow burn. Forbidden fruit. Fan-fic. An assistant named Dawn. "Average" equipment. The list goes on.

My one complaint? I need more info on Glenn! Who is he?? What's with the liquid?? ::cue Sheldon meme:: I need answers!

Basically, Accidental Attachment is the perfect rom-com and all other romances will have to live up to its epicness. I'm new to Max Monroe's work but have steadily binged them over the last few weeks. This book has the humor you've come to expect plus so much more! While there is spice, it's a much smaller part of the book than usual. The development of the relationship is what took up most of the book, and it makes you fall in love with the characters even more!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Brooke and Chase
Brooke is an author who is divorce and she has a condition that make her faint so she has a service dog Benji that goes everywhere with her to warn her when the next episode will occur. She had a deadline and she send the wrong book to her publisher. It's about a two couple that work together and have a forbidden relationship and it's base on Brooke and chase.
Chase work in publishing and he moved after his break up from his fiancé once he received the manuscript accidental attachment he love it.it's different from what Brooke has written before so he pitches it to his boss and told him if it bombed it his🍑 out the door.
They spend time together and now they're going to spend more time because of Netflix tour and she doesn't go on plane because of her condition so they gonna spend 3 weeks in an RV and their chemistry is of the charts.
Their moment of laughter in the book chase and his sister and then Brooke and Benji is hilarious I love everything about the book and the bonus of it I had the audiobook so thank you
NetGalley.

DNF sadly, I couldn't connect with the characters at all and the long chapters were tiring. Even if I love this author duo this book wasn't for me. I tried reading but I just couldn't get past the chapters. I was going with such high hopes for this but was disappointed.

4⭐️

The premise called out to me right away! A successful writer accidentally sends her new (and super-dreamy) editor the wrong manuscript. Instead of the full-length paranormal novel she promised Longstrand Publishing, she sends the fan fiction she’s written about her crush…on him—including every detail of the hot, steamy “physical activity” she’s fantasized about happening between them.

What a fun and fast read! It hooked me right away and had me laughing & smiling through out. Brooke and Chase’s romance was entertaining, hilariously funny, and the steam was definitely fogging up the windows of that motorhome. 😆 I couldn’t get enough of Benji and I loved all of the superhero and Dolly Parton references.

What I enjoyed;
✨Slow-Burn Romance
✨Forced Proximity
✨Cinnamon Roll Hero
✨Super Hero Benji

A slow-burning treat, this exceedingly low angst romance is easily one of my new favorites from this writing duo. The hero is one of the biggest cinnamon roll sweethearts I've ever had the pleasure to read about, and the forced proximity was a major win. Not that either of these characters really had to be forced to spend time together; they're both smitten from the start, and the mutual crushes made this feel so lighthearted and easygoing. I was initially concerned that the book was going to drag - at nearly 600 pages, it's their longest yet - but it's just filled to the brim with sweet, funny, and swoony moments. Don't go into this one expecting a ton of heat or high levels of tension; these two are perfect together, and that's clear from the beginning. There's just the pesky matter of a major secret between them, which is sure to change everything once all is revealed.

The story follows Brooke, an author who has been dealing with a case of writer's block. Her last series became such a success that it's about to be made into a TV show, and she's supposed to be writing the spinoff. Unfortunately, that book hasn't been going so well, and Brooke keeps avoiding it by writing something else entirely. Meeting her sweet and sexy new editor sparked an immediate crush, and that has inspired a romance novel starring them. The characters might have different names, but it's clear to Brooke who has been starring in her fantasies lately. No one was ever supposed to see that book, but Brooke accidentally attaches it instead when submitting her latest novel... and Chase loves it. He loves it so much that he's willing to put his career on the line to publish that novel instead of the much-anticipated one. And he loves it so much that he finds himself joining Brooke on a cross-country promotional tour (in a motorhome!) while they get it edited at the last minute. And that leads to some unexpected results.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but I've been a fan of this writing duo for a long time, so I didn't hesitate to take the journey once I saw the page count. I don't mind a beefy book if it's worth the time spent on it, and this one definitely was. With tons of chemistry, plenty of humorous and quirky moments, and two characters who are incredibly easy to like, I had no trouble getting emotionally invested in the romance right away. Chase makes a fantastic book boyfriend - kind, supportive, easygoing, and genuinely good. Brooke also makes for an interesting character, and I especially loved that she's got a service dog for her vasovagal syncope, which added a ton of quirkiness and a unique feel to the story. I also loved that this is essentially a road trip romance between two people who get along SO well. The vibes are relaxed and fun, the angst is low, and the only major issue is the (not so) small matter of telling Chase about the book. So I had a great time sitting back and enjoying my time spent with this couple, and it flew by for me.

Audio note: The audio is excellent! With CJ Bloom and Joe Arden narrating, you can't go wrong. Both give great performances that infuse a ton of humor and personality into the characters, and I can wholeheartedly say that the audio enhances the reading experience. Bloom has been narrating a lot of the books I've been reading lately, so I've gotten pretty used to her voice. She does fantastic job with rom coms, and I enjoyed her as Brooke. Arden is always a solid pick, and he was great as Chase. Both narrators are skilled and their voices are easy to listen to, so no complaints there. The book itself is very much a slow burn with a few spicy moments along the way, so it's a good choice for a workday listen overall (maybe start the first chapter at home, lol). The runtime is too much for a single day, but I looked forward to jumping back in every time I set it down. So I definitely recommend the audio.

This was my first book by Max Monroe, but it won’t be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.

This book was a hilarious romantic comedy about an author who accidentally sends her editor a fan fiction she wrote about him, instead of her real book. Her book included some very, very steamy scenes. Chase and Brooke were great together, despite how awkward it is for Brooke at times. I loved how sweet and caring Chase was.

I also loved the supporting cast of characters. Chase’s sister Mo and her husband Tony were hilarious. Benji, Brooke’s support dog, is such a wonderful addition in his super hero costumes.
