I love a quick author’s note at the beginning of any book.
When an author starts me with something important they need me to know about their book, it feels special. The note from Max Monroe in Accidentally Attached had the opposite effect. It almost had me stop before I even started the book. It was a little excessive and over hyped. I appreciate a warning about scenes not safe for work, #nsfw. The note from Max Monroe was too specific. It told me that I will laugh so hard I might want to wear a sanitary product, or be on the toilet while reading. It was full of big promises about the story. Then follows a dedication to Henry Cavill’s right testicle, his best testicle apparently. Is there a public joke there that I missed out on?

I don’t want to be a raging Debbie Downer so I’ll be quick about this.
While it was a good book, and it would be mortifying to send a naughty fanfic to a crush, Brooke’s obsession with Chase felt very juvenile.
Brooke talks to her dog a lot more than I feel is natural. It could be more common for a person living alone with a service animal to do this often. Perhaps her character could have instead had more internal thoughts in place of doggy conversations? Please note I’m a dog lover and I talk to my dogs. We just talk about who’s a good boy, and where they left their bones.
Slow burns are good, but this story was glacial.
The humor promised in this book just didn’t land for me.

Wow! I loved this book! What could be worse than accidentally sending the book you wrote about your crush on the sexiest man you have ever met to your editor? Could it be that your crush happens to be your editor, who loves the book so much he campaigns to turn it into a book? NO... It would have to be when you discover that you will be traveling together on a cross-country trip in an RV alone. What will happen when Chase Dawson discovers Brooke Baker wrote this book about him? While the romance takes a while to heat up, the ending is worth it. Brooke and Chase's journey is filled with humor, Dolly Parton, Wilson Phillps, and superhero Benji. Word of advice, be sure to download the extended epilogue. Accidental Attachment was my introduction to the world of Max Monroe. I can't wait to read more. Thank you to Max Monroe and Netgalley for the advance reading copy in exchange for an honest opinion, #accidentalattachment #NetGalley

This was FUNNY with a capital FUN. I thought this was a super cute story and I laughed out loud a LOT while reading this. Brooke was witty & punny. I felt like/ got a vibe it was to cover up the insecurity she felt in most situations but it worked for her. Chase was adorable in how supportive he was of Brooke and "the-story-she-was-never-meant-to-send" a.k.a. the entire reason for this book. Their road trip was full of heartwarming, awkward and fun moments.

I'm just going to say it: Benji is 100% my favorite character in this book!

Thank you to Max Monroe for the copy via Netgalley to read & review.

A fun romantic comedy with lots of humorous situations. Brooke Baker is a popular author who is struggling to finish her latest novel. She is not happy with what she has written but needs to send it to her new editor Chase Dawson.
Brooke has a crush on Chase and has been writing a secret sexy romance about Chase who she calls Clive. The secret novel is Brooke’s private place to go when life gets to tough.
Close to midnight and after a few drinks Brooke finally sends an email to Chase with a copy of her novel. There is a big problem. The novel she sent was the wrong one and when she has a meeting with Chase Dawson she discovers that she sent her secret romance by accident. Chase loves the romance and wants to work with Brooke to make it better.
This was about writing and publicity. A steamy romance and family relationships. I loved the interactions between Brooke and Chase and their families.

ACCIDENTAL ATTACHMENT By Max Monro

Brooke Baker has been through a lot in her thirty-one years of life.
A divorce.
A career change.
A move to New York City from “small-town” Ohio.
Not to mention, she has a bit of a medical condition that involves occasional fainting spells, mild embarrassment, and the companionship of her adorable service dog and canine sidekick, Benji.
But none of it has prepared her for this.
None of it prepared her for Chase Dawson.
Strong jaw, blue eyes, cut muscles, and a perfect swoop of superhero-worthy black hair, Chase’s features are those of a book boyfriend and then some. Obviously, Brooke would know—she literally filled an entire manuscript with it.

😊What i liked -

✔ Workplace/Road Trip/Rom-Com/Forced Proximity.
✔ I found Brooke cute and hilarious.
✔ Chase's character too was cute and sweet and caring.
✔ I loved both sets of sister's too.
✔ I loved Benji and I liked how the disability was very carefully dealt with.
✔ It was a lighthearted, sweet and hilarious read.

🤔What could have been better -

✔ Even though I loved the characters and their quirks, I found the chemistry lacking.

🎧Audiobook Review:

✔ I listened to the audiobook while reading and I think I enjoyed way more because of the narration.
✔ I loved the way CJ Bloom and Joe Arden narrated this. The emotions and the quirks were spot on in their voices.

Here I am finally back with a new review!!

Today I would like to talk to you about a romance that I had the great pleasure of reading in preview and that I deeply loved. I'm talking about Max Monroe's Accidental attachment.

A successful writer accidentally sends her new (and super-dreamy) editor the wrong manuscript. Instead of the full-length paranormal novel she promised Longstrand Publishing, she sends the fan fiction she’s written about her crush…on him—including every detail of the hot, steamy “physical activity” she’s fantasized about happening between them.

And Chase Dawson may be the hottest man alive and a super-talented editor to boot, but he’s completely oblivious that he’s the star of the manuscript he just convinced his boss to green-light.

A manuscript no one was ever supposed to see.

Will she survive two months of revising and editing the sizzling romance she imagined with Chase in extremely close quarters with him? Or will the constant white lies and overwhelming attraction make her spontaneously combust?

It's the first time I've read a book by this author and, I have to admit, I was particularly surprised by her writing style. Super ironic and funny, exciting and Magliano, Max Monroe managed to kidnap me like no one before!

The main characters are incredibly well characterized. It was impossible for me not to love Brooke and Chase and their soul so strong and sweet😫😫.

I loved every single detail of this book, especially the romance. The only negative note is the final conflict that I found - at times - senseless and poorly structured.

Highly recommended!!! 😍😍

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Max Moore for providing me with this ARC copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book was… long. It was 422 pages that dragged on and on. I don’t even really know why, but it took me forever to read. It was a cute rom-com, but the ending felt too rushed, which was unfair because the rest of the book took forever. I wish there was more conflict between the main characters because it was pretty smooth sailing for awhile. They had the same routine until about 70%, and then that’s when the ball got rolling and things developed between them more. Up until then, the book was a recap of their day to day lives pretty much. It was just them doing.. things. Their conflict towards the end didn’t feel like it was enough to warrant a breakup. It happened so fast and their reconciliation was just as fast. It’s ironic that Clive didn’t have any flaws because it felt like Max Monroe wrote Chase with no flaws either. Brooke was quirky and funny, but Benji was definitely my favorite character.

“Sending the book was an accident,” he says softly. “But you and I? We were meant to be.”

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first time reading from Max Monroe, and it was a pleasant surprise. The story was well written and funny with lovely characters. The story is about two adults, who both are trying to succeed in their careers. Brooke is a writer who is in a rut, so she decides to write a story of her and Chase, her new editor. The real story begins with when she accidentally sends her story and not her normal work. He loved it, and a publisher decided to send her on tour. However, she can't go on a plane because of her medical condition. And they agreed to go on a bus and her new editor will be the driver, so they can work while they travel. While they are travelling together, Chase is determined to make Brookes new book a hit, but he didn't expect to fall in love.
Like I said in the beginning it was a funny and a cute read with forced proximity. I definitely recommend to everyone.

What would you do if after 20 years, you realized you’ve been in love with your best friend all along?

The Marriage Solution by @authorstephanierose
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.75), 🌶️ 🌶️ (2)

Landon and Julie have been best friends since they were in college, 20 years ago. Even through the long distance, they talk everyday and tell each other everything. Until, Julie started hiding from him…

Their daily FaceTime calls stopped and for six months, Landon hasn’t seen Julie. Finally, they reunited for the wedding of their close friends in Vegas, only for Julie to drop a bomb on Landon.

I really enjoyed this read. I found Landon and Julie’s comfortable relationship and banter extremely sweet and heart-warming. I enjoyed how the character growth each of them had, even more so that they got to their decisions as mature adults and quite appropriate for their age rather than being roundabout it.

The spicy scenes are well written and tasteful. Nothing too crazy but very natural.

This was a super cute, super sweet, HEA romance story that just makes a person believe in soulmates and that being in love with your best friend is worth all the risk.

Also, there’s a bonus epilogue!!!

Tropes:
• best friends to lovers
• marriage of convenience
• closed proximity
• second chance romance

Reading this books made me think of the movie inception. Where in the book itself is also the book that FMC, who is an author, worked on.
Like a personal diary, Brooke Baker wrote a manuscript detailing her intimate fantasies about her editor, Chase Dawson. One night, in a drunken mistake, she accidentally sends the manuscript to Chase. Surprisingly, Chase loves the manuscript and urges Longstrand Publishing to release it as a book.
Now, Brooke and Chase must work closely together to finalize the book. Brooke is unprepared for this unexpected situation. The question remains: will she be able to handle it, and what will happen if Chase discovers that the entire book is about him?
While I find the story intriguing, the execution feels somewhat forced onto the plot. The pacing is slow, the language overly wordy, and the content becomes repetitive. Despite my efforts to finish the book, hoping for an exciting turn of events, I was ultimately disappointed until the last chapter. I know that the book has received positive reviews, but personally, it’s not for me.

I love Max Monroe and I was beyond thrilled to receive a free copy from NetGalley and Max Monroe LLC. With that being said, Accidental Attachment overall was good but not great, which left me a bit disappointed. Unlike previous books I've read of theirs, it took an insane amount of time for me to actually get into the book and even at times, I felt like I had to force myself to continue reading. If you look up the definition of a slow burn book, this book would be one of the examples listed at the bottom and I still don't know if it's in a good way. Nothing felt really progressive with the relationship until the last 100 pages and even then, the ending felt extremely rushed and bit unsatisfying. The storyline altogether though was so creative, original, and I loved seeing a FMC representing someone with a disability. Accidental Attachment might not have met my expectations and won't be an automatic re-read for me, I still have high hopes for the future work of Max Monroe and can't wait to dive into another world they write.

🧐 my thoughts:
This was extremely well written. I loved the rom com aspect of this book, as well as how in depth the character were.

👌🏻what i liked:
I’ve never been much for the books about authors, but I’ve been surprised with a few good ones recently, and this is one of them! Also, how can you not like a book with a dog as the best friend?! I loved the secondary characters, they really added to the story.

🙃 what i didn’t like:
The final conflict… If you know, you know…

🥰 special thanks
Thank you to NetGalley, Max Monroe, and Max Monroe LLC for granting me this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Accidental Attachment is well write. The plot great, as well as the characters and the chemistry. That being said I dont relate to the main character using a bunch of pop culture references. It seems unrealistic, but that is probably just because I don't think that way.

A cute tale of an author who writes a novel about her real life crush. A novel that was supposed to be for her eyes only but was accidentally sent to her editor/crush in a wine induced stupor. Brooke and Chase are forced to spend 3 weeks together after Chase pushes for this accidental story to be published. The close proximity only intensifies their attraction and the two who inspired River and Clive are quick to fall in love. A cute story of everything happening for a reason, Accidental Attachment will leave you smiling as Brooke and Chase navigate their newfound feelings.

This was adorable. I had forgotten how funny this author is. The female MC is quirky and I loved her and the male MC is now one of my fav book boyfriends. The romance was beautiful and I loved the fate elements thrown into it. They were meant to be and I truly believed that by the end of the book.

Thank you Max Monroe ! I have read several of books written by these authors , this one didn’t disappoint This book was everything you expect from a max monroe book , you will laugh out loud and of course swoon, ( thinking of my original Max character of course Kline who will always be #1)
Brooke is an introvert but one I found very relatable as a main character.
Chase was the perfect book boyfriend , he was perfect, for Brooke. He had his flaws but it was so much fun watching them fall for each other. And the family dynamics in the book was extremely entertaining too.
Hands down the best summer read .

Can’t wait for the next one

It's been a while since I've picked up a Max Monroe rom com and so I decided to pick up Accidental Attachment. True to my expectations, this writing duo plunged the reader right into the comedy part of the romcom, but the romance wasn't far behind.

Accidental Attachment is the story of Brooke and Chase, a writer and her editor, and how she accidentally sends him a draft of a novel that hasn't been requested or sold. It's essentially her fantasy if she was an on air anchor and he was her producer. Chase reads it, loves it, pitches it and when he's successful, has the joy of telling Brooke-who has no idea that she sent the file that she sent. Once she discovers her oopsie, she basically dies and then tries to avoid doing anything with it. Of course that can't happen and the rest of the novel is divided up between her making peace with the fact that she's publishing her fantasy and trying to figure out how to be around the object of her affection without blowing it, all while being trapped in an RV, with her crush, on a cross country road trip to promote her previous hit turned Netflix series.

As you can imagine, there's lots of comedy: physical comedy, puns and word play, and the always fun second hand embarrassment hilarity that ensues from their various snafus. The romance is slow burning and sweet and a nice counter to the constant funny. All in all, a fun, slightly nutty read.

I loved the witty, funny, heartfelt characters in this book.
Every single character was just perfect and I loved their
dialogue. There were some laugh out loud moments in this
book as week as some steamy parts. It was a roller coaster of
emotions and I loved every minute of it!!
Brooke Baker is an author whose books are turning into a
Netflix series, but her publisher is awaiting her next great
work which is a spin off of this series. She is struggling to
make the writing spark, when her deadline approaches so
she just send the document as is. Little does she know, she
accidentally attached the wrong manuscript to her editor.
Instead of the spin off, she attached the steamy story of a
Clive and River, who are based off of none other than herself
and the editor she has been drooling over since she met him.
Once she finds out her error, it's too late because her editor
loves this manuscript and is hell bent to get it published. As
they go through the editing process, Brooke and her editor,
Chase, become close. But what happens when he finds out
the truth?
This is such an amazing book, and I highly recommend it if
you love some spice mixed with laughter, relatable lovable
characters woven into a great story line
Thank you @netgalley @authormaxmonroe and @rick_283
for the opportunity to read this beautiful book!
