Yet another remarkable, cannot-put-down WWII novel from Buzz Bernard. It is the story of an American bomber pilot on a mission over Austria, during the final weeks of the war who was fortunate enough to survive the downing of his aircraft. He then finds himself involved in a fight for survival with assistance from others, including a German pilot. All of this takes place in an area in which hundreds of Jews are being and have been exterminated in a death camp.
This is the story of Jim Thayer, a remarkable man who experienced terrible circumstances and did all that he could, along with others, to right the terrible wrongs some were visiting upon others.
I could not put this book down once I started it both because of the subject matter and the very believable way that information was presented.
I cannot recommend this book more highly, it is impossible to put down once you start.

I received an ARC for free, by I give my honest opinion voluntarily.
