I really like how down to earth and real the author is with her writing and her advice, and I appreciate the somewhat different take on finances than the usual white-business-school-male perspective. A well done book.

Great Book

Jessie DaSilva writes about her view on money and provides some background information about her financial struggles to acquire financial freedom. She states that in this book she is going to show readers how to get money, keep it, and make it work for them. However, she writes that in order to get there, readers need to first accept wealth as their conscious will, and to decide that your foremost goal in everything she teaches you will be to make money— and lots of it.

The author states that when people say, “Money is energy,” they’re saying two things:
• First, money has no intrinsic value.
• Second, money is a renewable resource.

The author states that money is energy meaning that money moves freely like a current and is a renewable resource, because whatever flows away from you will return because that’s what money does.

Jessie discusses the moon phases, outlining and providing a brief discussion of each.

In discussing manifestation, the author states that she started manifestation because everything else she had tried didn’t work, and when she discovered that a necessary step of magic is to go forth from a spell and live like the spell already worked. Further, she writes that she realized where the massive gap between manifestation and materialization had been in my life.

Finally, the author shares some of her wrichcraft practices and resources for manifesting money. She discusses basic protection and how to channel energy into them.

Overall, this is a book filled with a wealth of beneficial information, covering many aspects of "Wrichcraft" as the author terms it. It is definitely a keeper for your reference Library. Highly recommend it.

This book is manifested to be weird and so it is. It talks about money in a very unusual and not a business like way. "Money magic is finance, and finance is money magic." - one of my favourite quotes from the book. If you don't believe in magic, this book can at least teach or coach your mindset change. Some things in life can't be really explained from the point of science and science is sometimes is a magic. This book can show you a different perspective on wealth and money than you experienced prior to reading it.

Whoa! Jessie came in hot with this one! First and foremost, I love this Millennial Money Witch, I knew who she was before reading this book. She's not only well educated, but she keeps it real and is so down to earth. She explains the science behind the woo-woo witchyness of manifestation but also discusses practical things such as budgeting and what not. This book was extremely helpful in aligning myself with money management in a way that flows easily for me. I'd recommend this to anyone who believes in the power of affirmations and manifestation!

Thank you Netgalley for an e-ARC of this book.

I absolutely loved this book! I don’t think I have ever laughed or smiled while reading a personal finance book before. Jessie DaSilva’s writing style is engaging and entertaining, and there were some passages where it felt like she was speaking directly to me. I think this shows how universal debt and money management can weigh on a person.

While it does have some “witchy” i.e. spells, she details how magic and meditation is science. You may have heard this before if you have studied mediation, but I felt like the author did a great job explaining how it is actually science.

Can we talk about all the book and podcast recommendations, not to mention the notes section. One of my favorite phrases is “cite your source.” I have so much more reading and listening to do now.

Just in case you can’t tell, I highly recommend this book! I will definitely be buying my own copy when it is published!

Last night (or early this morning depending on how you want to look at it…semantics), I finished the book The Witch’s Way to Wealth by Jessie DaSilva. DaSilva has built a reputation as the Millennial Money Witch. She has been featured in Forbes and on Buzzfeed. She used to be a lawyer but now does job and finance coaching with a witchy twist. She starts out the book by explaining that magic is science and science is magic. 100% believe in this! Lots of what used to be termed magic can be explained away by science and there is so much more out there that is unexplained but being proved every day. Her book dedicates a whole chapter to talking about physics and such to back up this theory. She also explains that self help books are not that far removed from witchcraft. It is all about focus and intentions. Yes, there are some witchy things like which crystals align with what and a whole section about birthcharts that honestly made my head hurt, but I realized while reading that affirmations and spells are not that different from each other. Science has proved that repeating affirmations change the neural pathways of your brain, so it makes sense that spells would too. You are repeating something with intention. My father used to tell me that when you put positive energy out into the world positive energy will be returned to you. He was the type that would be on the boardwalk and look down to see a $20 bill in the sand. This is right along with what DaSilva discusses. The wild part is while I was reading, there were some moments where life just aligned for me financially just when I needed it. Such as getting a $350 used but perfect condition leather purse for $.68 out of pocket. I have started to keep track of the unexpected funds that have come my way since I started reading the book and focusing on manifesting money. It is close to $200 already! Believe what you will, but it seems to be working for me. The book also talks about budgeting, anxiety, and job searching. I recommend you read if just for that even if you aren’t into the woo woo stuff. #September2023 #NetGalley
