3.25 out of 5. This book wins mayor points for discussing and including chronic pain in a traditional romcom. As someone who has had chronic pain, it felt real and quite wonderful to see the navigation of it. Its a rom com with a little of a cozy mystery that you do not see coming, that takes it out of the traditional run of the mill romance. Those two things elevate it and set it apart. Is it the best romance I read this year? no, but it was an entertaining quick read that had a different point of view which i really admired.

"Whether you have emotional scars, physical ones, or both, you are worthy of being loved"
Just with the dedication, for me the author deserves 5 stars. I started this book sent to me by Netgalley thinking it will be a light read... and instead I found myself smiling and moved with the main characters in the storyline. Autumn is a pianist, in the middle of her return to the stage after an accident, stubborn that she will do everything on her own and pretend it's okay (hence her moniker Ms Perfectly Fine). One morning she wakes up to find a new lodger, the charming Eilijah, who may seem bossy and uncaring at first. Their story certainly doesn't start on the right foot but slowly they will get to know each other and I can assure you that you will love them. I was pleasantly surprised by the author and I recommend everyone to add this book to their TBR. Thank you again Netgalley for this little gem!

Autumn is a concert pianist who suffered a horrible accident and deals with chronic pain. She is working towards her comeback and her world is completely flipped when Elijah suddenly moves in. Autumn is very scheduled and does not like anything that messes with her carefully constructed life.
Ms. Perfectly Fine is a just perfectly fine. I appreciated having a character living with chronic pain and learning all about her ways of dealing with it in order to be able to live and play the piano.
It's labeled as romantic suspense but that element was pretty predictable. I love the grumpy/sunshine trope and the book had a few LOL moments.
It's quick read and enjoyable. Thank you Net Galley for the ARC.

Ms Perfectly Fine had me hooked from the start! Romantic suspense was a new genre for me and I really enjoyed it. I loved the blending of mystery/thriller with romantic comedy — this book had me smiling all goofy one moment & heart racing the next. I’m always a sucker for the enemies to lovers, forced proximity, & “can’t get away from you so might as well fall in love with you” tropes. Autumn & Elijah’s chemistry was undeniable and they complimented each other so well.
I feel that the mystery/thriller aspect of this book was done really well, especially with it being a new type of story for the author as well. It had me trying to put some pieces together myself, but the twists were pretty surprising & kept me glued to the pages!
I also loved that the author touched on the intricacies of living with chronic pain. I think those that relate will feel very seen through Autumn’s character.
I was able to read the ARC of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This has rave reviews and I was a bit overhyped. It was hard for me to get past the beginning of the book and it took some tries. It was a sweet read in the end but took effort for me to get into it.

Title: Ms Perfectly Fine
Rating: ★★★★☆
In this review, I want to gush about how much I adored "Ms Perfectly Fine," a book that had me giggling and kicking my feet up in the air, but just fell shy of the coveted 5-star rating.
Let me start by saying that I loved this book! It swept me away into a world filled with charm, romance, and delightful characters. From the very beginning, I found myself deeply invested in the lives and relationships of the characters, eagerly turning the pages to see how their stories unfolded.
The writing style of "Ms Perfectly Fine" is addictive and engaging. The author's witty and lighthearted prose had me hooked from the first page. The banter between the characters was top-notch, and there were several scenes that had me grinning from ear to ear. It's rare for a book to make me physically react, but this one had me giggling and swooning more times than I can count!
While I adored the book and couldn't get enough of the characters and their shenanigans, I have to admit that there were a few moments where I felt it didn't quite reach that 5-star level. Maybe it was because some parts felt a tad predictable, or perhaps I was hoping for a little more depth in certain aspects of the story. Nonetheless, it was still a fantastic read that left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
In conclusion, "Ms Perfectly Fine" is a delightful and captivating book that had me completely engrossed in its world. While it may have missed out on the 5-star rating by a hair, it certainly didn't dampen my enthusiasm and enjoyment. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heartwarming and entertaining read. It's the perfect choice for those moments when you want to kick back, relax, and lose yourself in a story that will leave you with a big smile on your face.

Romance
I didn't realize I hadn't written a review for this novel in a timely manner. Whoops! I finished this book a month ago, so my memories of this book are a little fuzzy at this point.
Autumn is a concert pianist. She hasn't performed or toured live in a number of years due to chronic pain from an accident. Elijiah is the son of the owner of the house Autumn rents. He moves in before she is quite ready to leave for the tour. He mostly works nights on his computer and she rises early to practice on the piano. Sparks and tensions fly immediately.
This story is perfectly fine - it just wasn't great. The characters are decently complex, but I didn't like how Elijiah was in instant infatuation. It didn't right true to his character. The interjection of some nefarious goings on just felt weird. Clearly, it was meant to amp up the plot and add some tension and depth, but again it hit the wrong tone.
I think this novel mostly suffered from an identity crisis. The author wanted to have a character that deals with chronic pain and create a romance around it. The instalove Elijiah feels left very little room for the development of the story and so the addition of the mystery takes the book off course.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC of this novel.

Thank you to NetGalley, and the author Kate Callaghan for this eARC
As it turns out, Ms Perfectly Fine is a very accurate title for this book.
I really enjoyed the beginning of this book - the enemies-to-lovers portion, the forced proximity and the banter between Autumn & Elijah was great.
Sadly the book soon lost it’s momentum for me. I didn‘t care for Autumns stubbornness, that they switched from enemies to lovers so quickly and the mystery subplot, which became the main plot for the last ~20%.
It was a perfectly fine read but I probably won‘t be thinking about it again in the future.
P.S. I know this is really nit picky, but in the beginning there were two things that really bothered me and I just have to get them off my chest
- Food being labeled vegan yet having honey in/on it
- A Golden Retriever being described as a „gentle giant“. A Golden is a medium sized dog! Not even close to giant!
Also, I don‘t know if this was fixed in the final version but there is a continuity error in one scene where we’re told Autumn is wearing a dress and then moments later she‘s in a t-shirt.

This book ended up being just okay for me. I think the premise is really good and it had a ton of potential but the execution wasn’t great in my opinion. I found myself getting bored and spacing off through out the story. And I also found part of this far fetched. I guessed the twist at the end and just thought that whole ending was cringey and far fetched. This book wasn’t bad and I see a lot of potential for this author and would definitely still read other books by her.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: reverse grumpy x sunshine, he falls first, hates everyone but her, forced proximity, enemies to lovers
𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: trauma, stalking, chronic pain
I really liked this book. It's super cute, with a little unexpected plot twist.
Autumn is a well-known pianist, who is intensely preparing for a comeback after a traumatic incident that affected her both mentally and physically. She is also very stubborn and likes to do things herself, but now it's time for her to heal.
Elijah is very charming and loving. He is trying to build a tech company, without his father knowing. He is attracted to Autumn's mysteriousness, and does not hesitate to show her that he is there for her.
Their relationship is super cute, natural and funny. They both catch feelings for each other sooner or later, but although Elijah is the first to reveal them, he waits for Autumn until she is ready to take the next step.
Thank you Kate Callaghan, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.

I could not connect to the male main character and it affected my ability to root for the romance aspect of this read. Unfortunately, I did not finish the story but hope it will connect to other readers.

I couldn’t finish this one. I struggled through the male character’s Insta-love-yet-continued-to-disrespect-every-boundary thing. He needed a better motive to be a jerk to someone he just met at the level he was. I struggled for a while then looked at where I was in the book..33%. I have been trying to read this for days now. I apologize this review sounds so harsh, but I guess this book just is not my style of romcom. I will have to try out another from this author with a different character trope format.

Elijah has my heart in the palm of his hand. The way he always was there to support Autumn had me swooning each time. Autumn’s story truly made me cry and i can’t imagine what it’s like to live with survivors guilt. Now let me say that the plot twist got me so good at the end. How could someone be so deceiving for so many years. I truly felt bad for Autumn after that discovery. But I’m glad she had Elijah with her always through it all. I do feel like Elijah’s story might not seem thorough enough for some but I’m fast paced and was able to connect it all together.

Got really suprised and unnexpectly in love with the characters of this novel! Loved the aspect of suspense with romance, as well as how soft Elijah is while at the same time being sexy. It had unexpected turns and emotional, really appreciate the mystery build up.

My Rating: 3.5/4
It's been a few days since I finished this book and I keep thinking about it. It's grown on me. I love the idea of a thriller romance and think it was done fairly well. I wish the thriller aspect had been hinted at more throughout the book rather than tacked on at the end. The romance also felt a little rushed. I wished there had been a bit more build up.
The main characters were well written. Autumn was likable and relatable, although I felt I had no real gauge to how famous she actually was. Elijah was loving and supportive. Their initial meeting was chaotic and entertaining. Their relationship developed nicely; they have good chemistry.
Overall, it was a fun time and had a lot of unique aspects, making it more than a standard romance.
Thank you to Kate Callaghan, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me an eARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I have to say straight away that I really enjoyed this one. Autumn lives in a rental that ended up being sub-letted to Elijah. Together they each devise ways to help the other realize they don't want to stay in the house and the results are nothing short of comical. Autumn's fiery spirit and Elijah's calm and conniving demeanor makes for an enjoyable read, you will laugh , you will rage and then fall in love with both characters The grand finale was totally satisfying and well executed. This was so good that I completed it in one sitting. Highly recommend this book.

Very cute and super super sweet! Probably not a hugely memorable or life changing book, but it was definitely a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to lovers of cute romance.

This was cute but the characters were a bit bland for me. Not enough growth. I'm not a huge fan of the Insta-love trope so I struggled with this book. So sadly this was a miss for me. It was an okay read
2.5 stars rounded up to 3 stars
Thank you to NetGalley and CallaghanWriter for the E-ARC.
All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.

I enjoyed this. Reading a romance about an mc with chronic pain. I loved the way the author didn’t write her as a damsel in distress but as someone who had been and is still living with so much pain, still going on and learning to rely on herself, even to a fault where it made it difficult for her to accept help from anyone else. Whilst I couldn’t relate directly to the character’s story, I could relate to a lot of the effects of chronic pain and learning to rely on yourself and the challenges that come with both. Although i figured it out quite early on I did enjoy the twist. I think it was well done, the romance side was nothing special, just a typical enjoyable romance.

First I want to thank the author and Net Galley for an Advanced Reader Copy.
This books open with a tragic accident that occurs to our female main character, Autumn when she was a child. It then opens up to present dav where Autumn is renting a house from her
"uncle" Tim. (Tim is a friend of her father's). She awakens to movers in her house moving her possessions around. She runs into Elijah. Elijah is moving into the house. Tim had told Elijah that it was okay to live there.
Autumn has to leave for orchestra practice leaving Elijah to sort out things. Elijah moved there to launch his gaming company.
The first day he changes the locks and when Autumn comes home it's comical.
Both characters are dealing with wounds from their past. There is a mystery/thriller vibe with someone leaving roses and notes for Autumn.
This book features the trope where he falls first.
This book moved me as a person who has had over 7 back surgeries can relate to Autumn and pain management.
