3 stars.

i had a pleasant time reading, but it wasn’t a masterpiece. unfortunately, i expected a lot by reading the blurb, but it didn’t give what i wanted it to give. in my opinion, it almost felt underdeveloped. especially the suspense. the suspense wasn’t suspensing like i needed it to. i think it could’ve been better if the author scrapped the whole suspense plot or just took it up a notch. without the suspense there still would’ve been enough plot from the romance side to work with (the roommates/living together plot). speaking about the romance, i liked it, i liked the characters, but there were still some parts i wasn’t in love with. it was all tell and no show and it went from 0 to 100 (i love a good slowburn, and this wasn’t it, but that’s a personal preference) lastly, there were a couple of plotholes and subjects that weren’t touched on enough for my liking (like her parents, tim, his parents, his company, etc)

BUT, i still kinda liked it. i don’t need much to be pleased 🤭

thank you netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

(everything i said in this review is my personal opinion, and doesn’t mean everyone will feel the same way as i do. opinions will vary from person to person)

I went in not knowing that there was a Suspense aspect to this book, so it was a nice added twist for me!

I really enjoyed this one - Autumn was a sweet character and easy to root for. I did feel their love story was a bit rushed and lol why did they fall in love so fast? Chill out guy.

All in all, a great and enjoyable read and one I'd definitely read again.

As someone who deals with chronic pain myself, I was really drawn into the idea of a FMC struggling with the same. As such, I really wanted to like this one... but to be honest, I really struggled to get into this story at all. I'm not sure if it was the pacing or that there were often many details given that took me out of the story... or honestly, it very much could have just been my mood at the time of reading. Sometimes, books just don't connect as we'd hope and this was one of those times for me. I tried several chapters before and couldn't get into it, but it's one I could definitely see myself returning to later and seeing if that changes. For now, it just didn't draw me in.

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was a fun, simple read and I loved the inclusivity of chronic pain - definitely something that I don't see very often. I liked the idea of a thriller romance - combining two of my favourite genres but I did feel like the thriller aspect got lost along the way. The romance was cute but I found the enemies to lovers a bit unrealistic. Plus I don't know how to feel about the landlord. The *spice* also left something to be desired.
All in all, this was a good, light-hearted, fun read. Something that doesn't take itself too seriously but tells a good message. I get the desire for Autumn to keep her chronic pain hidden but, as someone with a chronic illness myself, I feel like we should have more books where the illness isn't hidden but embraced by the main characters. In my opinion, there's far more of an exciting plot in that concept.

I couldn’t leave 3 and half stars closer to 4 as that wasn’t an option but that’s what am giving this book, as someone who has ms it’s refreshing to read a book where the main characters has her inner struggles whether it’s with a chronic illness, invisible illness or
Mental health. The way the author address this and touch on it was done perfectly!! How much effort it takes each day to put a brave on face and carry on as you have no other option I loved that!
I actually love how fast he fell for her, I know some have said it was too quick but i believe in love at first sight so it’s nice to read how quickly they developed!
I just think there was too much happening in the book and some of it felt rushed! It felt like there was a million plots happening at once and some touched on and some left unfinished. It touched on a strained relationship with her parents and it just didn’t mention them again.
But overall I did enjoy this book.

An emotional story of Autumn who is dealing with chronic pain whilst trying to regain control of her life, and being put out of her comfort zone when Elijah moves into her house as well as dealing with a stalker. A well written story that I really enjoyed.

3.75 stars - The book was fine. I did not hate it. The author's writing style was good. This romance book is told in a dual POV with a hint of suspense. I felt I was missing a good chunk of the story as the main characters' transition from enemies to lovers happened so fast without much context.

Thank you to CallaghanWriter and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I thought this was a nice contemporary adult romance! There was good chronic pain rep in the book, and I always appreciate that. The romance was great! Overall, I would definitely recommend!

I received an e-ARC from the publisher.

Romcom and thriller tied into one book, what more could you ask for? The grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, and forced proximity tropes are always a fan favorite and they were well played out in Ms Perfectly Fine. While I didn’t find Autumn to be the most enjoyable character, I did quite like Elijah. Their romance was very cute and made for an easy read! This story was a little hard to get into at the beginning, and felt a little slow in places, but overall it was a cute, easy read! 3.5 stars!

- Grumpy (her) X Sunshine (him)
- He falls first and harder
- Forced proximity
- Healing journey
- Suspense

This is one of my favorite romance reads of the year. I love how unique the story was. It had all the elements and tropes I love but told in a different way. There were times the story made me laugh out loud, squeal in delight, and sob. That tells me how incredible and moving the writing was that the author was able to make me feel so many different things.

I also loved the pacing of the story, the progression of the relationship felt very organic and not forced. I hate when romance books force the relationship just to further their story. Kate Callaghan didn’t need to do that, she made you first fall in love with the characters before they loved each other. I love how different these two characters are and seeing how they both helped each other on their healing journeys. I wish everyone could find their Elijah.

Autumn's story was heartbreaking and it was hard at times to read what she was dealing with because I understood a lot of the emotions. I have a tendancy to say im fine when im not due to my trauma, so I really related to "Ms Perfectly Fine". Kate made her characters very relatable and real.

I also really liked how strong of a character Elijah was. He has major golden retriver energy, but he also fought for himself. When he paid out his fathers investment I was so happy. I love seeing a character that doesn’t take the sliver of love their parents give them, but makes them work for it. His father abandoned him and Elijah isnt just going to let him back into his life.

The ending didn’t surprise me, I guessed very early on that Heather was the sister and that something was off with Nina. But that didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all because I loved seeing Autumn and Elijah during that time and seeing how they got through it together.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I would describe it as romance meets suspense, especially during the last few chapters of the book. This book is a dual POV but mainly centers around Autum Adler, a twenty-something reclusive, but gifted concert pianist who suffered an accident in her childhood, leading her to experience chronic pain and emotional trauma. The other POV we experience is from Elijah Wells, the son of Autumn’s landlord, who is strong armed into moving with Autumn by his father while he is trying to get software company off the ground.

These characters meet in very awkward circumstances when Elijah moves into Autumn’s townhome one morning without her knowledge. Autumn, being a creature of routine, hated the idea of anyone taking over her home and thus beginning their mutual sabotage/ pranking to make their lives impossible, which made me laugh out loud a few times. Autumn and Elijah eventually warm up to each other and become friends, which leads to their romance. Another aspect of this book that makes it more interesting is that Autumn had been avoiding dealing with a stalker for a number of years, which concerns Elijah.

This certainly was fun read and had some fun tropes including grumpy (her)/sunshine (him), forced proximity, enemies to lovers, he falls first and harder. I also loved a realistic representation of a character dealing with chronic pain, as well as reading about Elijah’s adorable dog, Brinkley.

Overall, I got a lot of enjoyment out of this book. The suspense/ stalker plot line was a nice bonus to this romance. I definitely recommend this one, especially if you are into the romance/ suspense genre.

This book was cute and i enjoyed it but i just couldnt connect with the characters - they fell for each other so fast that i was feeling like i missed out on the build up but other than that i feel like the story flowed nicely - it was a great easy read! it was nice having the mystery and suspense instead of a third act breakup i will say and i love a good mystery to keep the story going especially since i didnt see all the twists coming! overall i really enjoyed this one!

What a great story! I love a suspense mixed with some romance. Great characters. Forced proximity. Enemies to lovers. Everything all in one.

Thank you to NetGalley and CallaghanWriter, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) for allowing me to read and ARC of Ms Perfectly Fine.

Autumn Adler is a piano prodigy, living on her own and managing her chronic pain and her come back to performing after an accident years ago. After everything she had been through, and is still fighting through, Autumn is a stickler for control and order, so when she wakes up one day to find Elijah Wells moving in, it throws her orderly life into chaos, though it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes.

I loved this! It was everything I love in a rom-com. There was banter, tension, spice, and everything nice! I was sick with strep throat and I was curled up between my couch and my bed and it was the perfect warm cozy read, I read it in one day.

A major spoiler comment coming in....

Okay, one of my favorite things about this book was that there was NO 80% of the way break up! I KNOW it's a staple of the genre, and I know it adds tension, and I'm not hating on that trope, I love many books that have that trope, but I really LOVE when that doesn't happen. An argument, a misunderstanding, a stress freakout causing the need to walk away and take a breather? Sure, absolutely, but not everything needs to end with someone ending it or temporarily ghosting - and I just always love when books allow the characters to experience all these big emotions without calling it quits.

This was a cute romance with stalker/thriller vibes that I really enjoyed! I was hooked from the first chapter and thought this book balanced both fun romcom-type moments with more serious issues including chronic pain. I am always here for more representation in books!

I'll be honest that initially I found Elijah to be irritating and rude, but he so grew on me! He ended up being a huge supporter for Autumn and I loved watching their relationship develop despite the less than ideal circumstances!

The suspense at the end worked surprisingly well and I think the author did a great job setting it up without making it feel too corny - a common complaint I have in books like this! It was quick read and I enjoyed for the forced proximity trope!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. I love a good grumpy/sunshine and having HER be the grump was a nice change. I liked how there wasn’t any sugarcoating about her accident and the effects it had on her. While this was labeled as romantic suspense, it wasn’t suspect suspenseful. Overall, 3.5 🌟

Holy cow!!! In this book was absolutely everything from romance to healing. You will find every single thing in this book! I liked the writing style, and the story was absolutely well done, too. The story is about Autumn and Elijah. I enjoyed the thriller/stalker vibes. The main characters maybe fell in love too quickly, and I thought I was missing something. Hence, I will give this 4 stars.
In general, it was an easy and quick read. If you want to read a mystery romance with mental health vibes, then you have to read this book.

Fantastic story of how someones meddling can actually sometimes do some good. I like the story, I liked how there was no sugarcoating the struggles our female main character had after the accident, and how she suffered a loss of a friend. I also like how the male main character wasn't oblivious. However, it doesn't seem realistic that someone was avoiding to confront the threats for 3 years, then they find their other half (with whom there is some tad bit of a spark, but not THAT much) and all of a sudden NOW is the time to deal with that. The mystery part was not so much my cup of tea, everything resolves within few pages, and you could see it happening that way from the sky.
Even though I didn't prefer the job scheme our mail main character pulled on, I did like how his relationship with father resolved.
Also, the dog in the book is the most precious this ever!
I enjoyed most of the book, it had it's charm, first 150 pages I couldn't have put it down, but after that it kinda started to drag on unnecessarily. However my rating for it was 3.5/5, it had a great start, but a not that great ending.

I decided to read this book based off of the title as a Taylor Swift stan. Just the title makes me want to break out into song and I love that the author included a playlist for this book and it had Tay Tay on the list.

Dual POV between the characters Autumn and Elijah. Forced to live under one roof due to circumstances out of their control. It left room for a lot of banter. I loveee banter and it really sets up the plot for a nice slowburn. Usually my grumpXsunshine books are the male mc being the grump, so I loved getting to read it from the female pov.

Although I saw the side story twist coming from a mile away I truly loved reading it all come together and how different little clues were sprinkled throughout the story. It gave the book more edge then just being a slow burn.

Also leading character was Brinkley (:
