I want to start by saying that as a whole, I enjoyed this story! I have a new appreciation for those who struggle with chronic pain or issues of the like which I find to be the most important take-away and even if I got nothing else out of this read, that alone would be worth it. Autumn and Elijah were great characters and I loved getting to know them as the story progressed. I felt like both their story lines had a satisfying conclusion. I felt the initial attraction between them came on a bit fast. It felt as though they were objectifying each other rather than actually being into the other person. I do enjoy a mystery no matter what form I’m given it so I found the subplot interesting. Though I felt like it was a bit rushed. Overall, a fun, quick read.

I LOVE a grumpy/sunshine trope. Especially when the roles are reversed. The book was very cute, but at times the premise was a bit much. A random person moving in with you? A stalker? Interesting, but something that makes me incredibly uncomfortable as a person.
This book did surprise me, and was definitely one that I'm glad I read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher!

While there was plenty to like on the surface of this book (enemies to lovers, forced proximity, a little bit of suspense), I found that this book wasn’t as fleshed out as I would have liked.
There was no reason for an enemies to lovers here. I’m sorry, but if someone moved into my home unannounced and started eating all my food there would be a 0% chance that we’d ever be friends, let alone lovers. Elijah was too unlikable in the beginning and it kept the romance from feeling real to me.
Also the suspense was almost non-existent until 75% of the way through the book. I’m all for it! Give me more! What was there was good, it just wasn’t enough to put it in the romantic suspense genre for me.
With that said, Autumn’s arc through this book was beautiful to see. Her return to the stage and finding her confidence was a beautiful story by itself, and I found myself genuinely rooting for her.
Also, Brinkley was the best!

Ill start this review off by saying I was instantly attracted by this book cover and I will definitely be added to my shelf once it comes out! It is very pretty and gave me a general idea of what to picture for the MC's, This was my first romance mystery book and I think I may have found a new niche. It took me a couple of days to get through it- be warned it is a slow burn which I typically dislike but this book picked up about half way through when it started to dive into the mystery.
Autumn is a prodigy concert pianist who has gone through quite a traumatic experience, I really liked that this book was different in that sense. The FMC wasn't completely likable right off the bat she was particular and was very uptight (with reason) it just takes a bit to warm up to her. Queue Elijah handsome witty and completely likable MMC. The start of how these two come to meet/ live together made me laugh, can you imagine renting your own place going to sleep then waking up to people moving all your things out the next morning! I would have reacted the same way Autumn did! Elijah realized real quick that everything was a miscommunication and tries to mitigate the situation by trying to get on her good graces while getting under her skin every once in a while. I absolutely loved when Elijah brought Brinkley his pup to live with them, who doesn't love reading about a sweet pup trolling his owner and liking the other MC better! Elijah and Autumn make due and finally give their living arrangement their best shot and that's when their chemistry really blossoms, I appreciate the way both Mc's communicated their feelings to each other thought the book. There was never really anytime the both didn't know how they felt about each other- It was the most realistic depiction of couples communication in my opinion. This book could be a movie, the author quickly sprinkles the creepy roses being delivered to Autumn here and there in the book leaving you bothered just enough but well enough to forget about it for a bit until you cant ignore it anymore. Little backstory- Autumn had been receiving weird roses from a mystery person and I will not go into detail about who this mystery villain was but I was surprised! Without ruining the plot and ending I will say that I suspected the villain was everyone so I didn't see it coming which I enjoyed! The ending was also satisfying- honestly I wouldn't mind a short standalone to check in with these two characters!
I rated this book 5 stars because in general I truly enjoyed the book- my only two gripes is that I'm not a fan of slow burns & I felt like the mystery of this book could have really been amped up from the beginning instead of being sprinkled here and there & really amping up half way through the book. Otherwise please give this book a chance, I can't wait to read more from this author I will definitely be looking out for more of her future releases!

Ms Perfectly Fine is available June 8.
I was excited to read this book based on the summary because it featured some of my favorite tropes. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Tropes:
- grumpy x sunshine
- forced proximity
- roommates
- he falls first
- enemies to lovers
- chronic pain
I adored Brinkley (the dog), and the general plot of the book is an interesting premise - a concert pianist suffers a tragic accident and is trying to find herself when she’s forced to live with a random roommate and contend with a mysterious stalker. I was surprised by the ending (I’d thought I’d figured it out at the very beginning and was wrong), and I finished the book quickly. I like seeing Autumn (the FMC) adjust to life with chronic pain and find happiness again.
Ultimately don’t think this book was for me. I’ll add that I read an early review copy, so there may be changes in the final published copy from what I read. For me, the dialogue was choppy. The narration happened in third person, but each chapter was from either Elijah (MMC) or Autumn (FMC)’s point of view. There were sentences where the characters would think, narrated in third person, and then there were other italicized sentences where they thought directly in first person. I found it bothersome and distracting. I didn’t much care for Elijah or Autumn’s “enemy” antics and found them to be juvenile. There were some subplots that I didn’t feel were ultimately resolved.
This wasn’t the book for me, but others are rating it higher, so if it sounds like tropes you may like with a hint of mystery, give it a try.

Cute enemies to lovers romance with lots of funny banter.
I loved how the characters were unapologetically themselves to each other which made them fall in love.
If you want…
A quick wit FMC and a golden retriever MMC
A plot twist that you don’t see coming
A good representation of chronic illness/pain
Definitely read this book
If you don’t want…
A slow moving plot (nothing really happens but still somehow stuff happens)
A not really passionate enemies to lover
You might want to pass.
Overall very cute book. Would recommend.
🌶️🌶️

Really good. Cute , suspenseful, not too romantic..perfect amount of everything. Love stories like this and this was no different. Loved the plot and characters, loved Elijah. Definitely recommend. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC

If you're looking for a quick, and fun romcom that packs a wallop then this is a great book for you! There's a bit of insta love but I found the characters to be truly adorable together so I didn't mind. The author also adds in a little bit of mystery to give readers something a little extra! I'm excited to read more from her in the future.

The dialogue at times felt very immature and child-like. The narration also way overdid it at some points. I did like the representation and I felt like the book did a nice job of discussing important, sensitive issues. This is a quick and fun read for someone looking for a romance.

This book was everything I hoped it would be. I love a good forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, book troupe and this one did not disappoint. I appreciate the author's creativity in letting Autumn (the female lead) be the grump. However now knowing her story I can totally understand why...lol. This was a very cute story and a quick read and I even enjoyed the twist at the end that was woven ever so subtly into the story.
If you want a fun easy read to enjoy this summer while you're chilling poolside (like I was) then this book is for you. Great job Kate Callaghan, I hope all readers enjoy this book like I did!

Ms Perfectly Fine offers a delightful blend of romance tropes, engaging banter, and an interesting premise. While some editing issues and pacing inconsistencies exist, the book delivers a light and easy read with relatable elements. Romance enthusiasts seeking a heartfelt story with memorable characters will find pleasure in the pages of Ms Perfectly Fine.
3.2 rounded down to 3/5.

“This world isn’t built for those of us with chronic issues. Do we get sympathy? Yes, but once the novelty wears off, that’s it. We’re told that our suffering has happened for a reason, that we are so strong and an inspiration, but it’s all bullshit to make them feel better because soon, they get bored! They lose interest in people who can’t keep up, who cancel, and spend most of their time worrying about whether tomorrow will be a bad or a good day…We are seen as a burden, something to be pitied…we are pushed aside.”
I live for this female MC with chronic health issues telling people off ! I read the end of this book with so many emotions. I caught myself cheering for her and screaming at times too!
So for realz. This book reads like a thriller and has romantic comedy feels too. Great character development and it kept me guessing about “who done it”.
I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book and get it early.

This book was easy to get through, it had the perfect mix of sweetness, banter, spice and mystery. The author could have included more suspence throughtout, it was a tad rushed to give us the books conclusion and I did figure out the plot twist but it was still enjoyable to have the added suspence element alongside the romance.
I like the fact that the author included chronic pain representation in this book. The way it was written was relatable and not shoved down our throats either, she included just the right amount and it was relevant to the plot not just thrown in.
I love forced proximity and enemies to lovers though I do have to say the switch here felt rushed. I would have loved it a little more drawn out so we got more tension and time to really invest in their relationship, their internal conflicts and finally admitting their feelings for eachother.
Having said that their relationship dynamic was great with their banter and pranks and just how supportive our MMC was, dropping everything to get to her because he thought she wasn't ok.
Overall a cute romance read with a little twist of mystery.

I absolutely loved this book!
It was really refreshing to read a book that talked about chronic pain and the story was great!

Thanks to Net Gallery for the Arc.
I definitely read this book for its cover, I loved it and the tropes it had caught my eye, but it didn't meet my expectations.
I really liked this little romantic suspenseful twist, but it was definitely not what I expected.
The romance in this book seemed very strange to me, because sometimes it was like a normal romance book, but in other parts it got lost and I forgot that this book was romance. I feel like the romance/suspense twist could be handled better, where there is a balance between the two.
Autumn was a character that in some parts I liked and in others I didn't, sometimes I found it very frustrating and I couldn't have that connection with her as I expected. Her tragic past was too much for me because I felt that she never lived in the present and she was hooked on it. I must say that I liked the growth that she had at the time of her and I would have liked to see more, like some reconciliation with her parents, I think that was a loose thread in the book.
Elijah was that character that captivated my attention and held it, every pov of him made me feel like fresh air to run away in, I love him so much. He is a well-constructed character and I definitely would have liked to see more of him.
The love between the two characters was super cute and fast at the same time, I feel that it was so fast that I did not enjoy 100% of the enemies to lovers, apart from that I liked how their healthy relationship is managed and how both develop as a couple .
I loved the plot 10/10, I feel like it's the point I wanted, but unfortunately it was affected by everything else.
There were some parts that I don't know if it was me or the author's writing that seemed super slow, sometimes I felt like I wasn't progressing.
I recommend it if you are looking for a character with a tragic past and wanting romance and suspense.

"Yours or mine?" Autumn teased, looking up at him.
With a tight squeeze, he kissed the side of her head and led her up the steps to the front door. "Ours."
This was such delightful book to read, I genuenly enjoyed my time with this story. I feel like now a days there is no room for juts romcom books, they always have to have this huge plot and other stuff but at least I do enjoy romance books that the whole focus of the story is the two people who we are support to root for in the book.
I enjoyed so much being able to follow Elijah and Autumn through their journey of getting to know each other and their individual journeys towards what they wanted. This two had some excellent moments and the emotions between them were so explosive and omgggg the more steamy ones were so much fun, lol.
I feel like I am not the adecuated person to speak weather the story is good rep for chronic illnesses or not but for what I saw and what the author shared with us, it feel like she approached this topic with all the love and respect it deserved, I loved autumn determination to make sure she never was just her illness nor her past, she was who she was because of it but not just it.
I think that this is such a sweet and easy story to inmerse ourselves into, specially after a big book. I would definitely give it a chance if you are ever in search of a good romcom to lift your day up. I think that while there are some plots that are very interest to navigate in the story, it never leaves the focus of Autumn and Elijah, I really appreciate that.
Now to the reason why this book doesn't have 5 stars.
SPOILERS
DEAR GOD WHAT WAS THAT ENDING! I was having the best of times with this book, I enjoyed all of it until the last chaters were suddenly we were in a cop drama?? LIKE yeah I assumed we were going to eventually deal with the stalker but this "Plot Twist" which was very foreshadowed because I suspected of Nina so many times! but like what the fuck! Also wtf nina befriending Autumn for 6 years just to kill her the moment she has the most support in her entire life?? like wtf it was such a weird turn, I would have loved for a more developed reason for nina to turn like this, I was hoping maybe she was Mollies lover or i don't know something more than just jelausy. I could not get past this lazy ending and had to give it 4 stars instead of 5. I loved Aiden and I wish we had seen more of him as a dad and husband than as a detective or maybe if he had investigated Autumns Stalker outside of his job that would have been better. I was very disappointed with this plot.

**Thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC. This review is my opinion**
The cover and blurb really grabbed me. The book starts off with a great prologue that gets your attention. I loved the main characters at first; their banter was awesome and literally made me smile. However, they did fall in love much faster than anticipated. Yes, they begin as enemies, but their journey to lovers was a bit disappointing. I mean, the enemies-to-lovers trope is one of my top faves, but when it is done right!
I think the character's relationship should have ben stretched out. A lot was going on all at once, but I was able to get through it. I'll give the author another chance in the future.

"Ms. Perfectly Fine" by Kate Callaghan is an absolute gem of a book that entered my life at the perfect time.
The story revolves around Autumn, a pianist dealing with trauma and chronic pain, and Elijah, a game designer who is required to move in with Autumn to secure investment money from an investor.
"Ms. Perfectly Fine" masterfully captures the experience of living with chronic pain. It delves into the challenges of maintaining a structured routine to minimize unexpected flare-ups, the reluctance to reveal the extent of one's pain to avoid being treated delicately, and the delicate balance of accepting limitations imposed by chronic pain. Autumn's struggle to find someone who can support her independence while also being there for her becomes even more daunting when she is forced to share her living space with an incredibly handsome but irritating man who uproots her life.
As someone who personally battles chronic illness and pain, I deeply appreciated Autumn as a character. This theme is seldom discussed in society, let alone in books, making it all the more enjoyable for me.
"Ms. Perfectly Fine" is not just a romance novel; it also seamlessly incorporates suspense elements, with a stalker lurking in the shadows. Through their experiences, the main characters discover that while independence is empowering, having others in our lives can alleviate the loneliness of this sometimes terrifying world.
Kate Callaghan hits a home run with this novel. It's a captivating read that will certainly find a place on my shelf, and I will gladly recommend it to others.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an advance reader copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest opinion.

In all actuality I would say this book earned a 2.5 out of 5 stars but good reads doesn't do decimals. I read this as an ARC and I hope that a lot of the things I struggled with in the novel are resolved in the final copy. The publication date is June 8th.
Things I did like about this book:
-Witty banter between Autumn and Elijah
-Reverse Grump meets Sunshine (he's sunshine, she's grump)
-The forced proximity/how they met
Things I did not enjoy :(
-I was really unsure of the setting almost the entire time. It seemed like it was taking place in Canada or overseas, but I think it was actually set in the United States but it was very hard to tell. The writing I think was partially at fault for this as a lot of the phrases were in British/European writing. (i.e. plasters for band aid, chemist for pharmacist. etc)
-The stalker plot line wasn't entirely developed and then felt rushed at the end. I feel like it could have been an all or nothing with this. I could have done without the stalker plot line and more focus on the forced proximity and further developed the romance between the two main characters.
-How quickly the male main character fell with little to no reason and then it felt like it was under done. Maybe it was because this is my first male main character sunshine moment, I'm not sure.
Overall I would recommend this book. It's light and easy to read and worth reading, it just needs to adjustments I hope were seen to in final publication.

While a cute premise, this one fell short for me. The romance felt totally rushed. For a supposed strangers/enemies to lovers, it turned within a day. I couldn’t wrap my head around them moving that quickly without really talking to each other. The subplot was more intriguing than the actual romance, and even that felt rushed and not altogether thought through.
I’m sure some people will love this, it is an easy read. But it just wasn’t for me.
