This was a very fast paced read for me. Usually I LOVE fast paced books but this book felt very rushed. I literally thought I was missing something because they went from enemies to lovers in half a sentence. I would enjoy this book more if it didn’t feel rushed.

These covers are gorgeous, I wil just start with that. But honestly, we don't see a lot of grumpy sunshine where the sunshine is the man! I loved it and want more!

I liked the story and the idea behind it. I liked the chronic disease representation and how it helped me learned more about it. I liked the female main character and how fleshed out her personality was. I liked the male main character and obsessed he was from the beginning and how sweet he was. I liked their chemistry and seeing him acting normal with her despite her disability. I liked the sinisterly subplot even if by the second half I was suspicious of the right character. I liked the discussion around grief and relationship with parents. I loved the banter between the two main characters. I think however that the story could have benefited from being a bit longer so that we could develop every subplot and discussion that were evoked : her relationship with her parents seemed a bit one dimensional and could have benefited from more one page narration for example. I do also wish that the development from “enemies” to lovers would have been longer and happened during a longer time period even if i understand the fact that it was kinda difficult since they weren’t suppose to cohabit that long

I dare you to read this book without Taylor Swift stuck in your head.
However, instead of a song about Joe Jonas, this book focuses on Autumn. A piano prodigy returning for her first solo performance after a traumatising incident when she was 16.
As if that’s not enough for Autumn to think about, she wakes up one morning to find Elijah moving into her home - with no warning. As you can imagine, petty pranks ensue - until they realise much more fun things could be done.
This book was a good read with a nice bit of suspense to keep you going.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the ARC.

This was pure fun! Getting to know Autumn and Elijah as they're forced to cohabitate, I wasn't sure I was going to be sold on this at first. I love forced proximity, but wasn't sure I was buying this. However, I was totally won over and grew to love both protagonists and had a great time watching them grow.

A beautifully written, sweet rom-com which is grumpy x sunshine, however (for once) the girl is the 'grumpy' one as she is going through grief coming to terms with her new disability and chronic pain. I loved seeing this reputation in an adorable enemies to lovers which was a quick and light-hearted read. I think this is perfect book read in the summer for a nice pick-me-up.

Ms Perfectly Fine is a beautiful Rom-Com story that touches on disability and overcoming grief. The plot was unique, well crafted and sweet.
Autumn is a firecracker. From the moment Elijah met her he knew his hands were going to be full. The banter between the two was hilarious to read and I couldn’t help but root for them. The struggle Autumn went through to return to following her dream was inspiring. You could feel her pain, and I loved how patient Elijah was with her throughout everything.
I did not expect the plot twist at the climax! Now that was super fun. I love a book that can’t be predicted and shocks you when you think you know how it’s going to play out. I will definitely recommend this story to my friends who enjoy rom-com books.

ARC- A super cute book that tied in a romantic slow burn with a suspenseful twist. I don't think the book is based in the US which did throw me for a bit of a loop at first. Some of the spellings of words and items were in terms in didn't quite recognize at first. It was nice to see someone in chronic pain come out victorious.

I love a good contemporary romance and this book had some good potential. It has forced proximity, “enemies to lovers” and some deliciously steamy scenes.
The good:
The romance definitely had a nice slow burn to it and kept you wanting more. The characters had interesting backstories and there was an underlying mystery to be solved. There is no unnecessary miscommunication trope which is appreciated.
The not so good:
Some of the scenes are very repetitive - a character will unnecessarily repeat themselves whether it be through exposition or internal monologue. The enemies to lover trope felt more childish with how the characters would “get back” at each other. There were also some weird timing issues where the timeline didn’t match up to what was described. (She’s supposed to take the weekend off but is back at work the next day?) it’s possible some of those errors will be fixed by release but there were some moments of confusion because things didn’t line up properly. The mystery element was a bit too predictable. The pacing was a bit too slow.
Overall it was a cute story with potential. It fell a bit flat for me but it was still a decent read.

Save to say that Kate’s books make me feel like I’m watching a romcom that I would want to be part off! Did everything happen a bit fast? Yes. Did I mind? Nope!
I needed a quick paced book with lots of banter, a bit of spice and a love interest that melted my heart and oh boy did I get one!
I might understand if a reader is looking for a deeper layer to a romance book than this might not be for them, but i personally really liked it.
Also loved that the author included someone with chronic pain. The ending where she explained to Nina how it feels like…. I felt that

Ms. Perfectly fine edges the line between being perfectly fine and an utter mess of a novel.
Elijah is the best part of this novel and I really enjoyed him and his characterization. Autumn is where the novel begins to fall apart for me. She is annoying, unlikable, and also incredibly stupid and naive and that mix just doesn't work for me as the leading female character in a self proclaimed romcom.
Also, there's a "mystery" storyline that is mentioned from the beginning of the novel until the end. I was able to figure it out about halfway through and found the mystery aspect to be ridiculous and totally unnecessary to the novel.
It's still not the worst book I've read recently and if you like enemies to lovers and grumpyxsunshine it's perfectly fine.

I love a good Grumpy/sunshine book. However check trigger warnings, some may be sensitive to some people. I thought this book was absolutely fabulous! I couldn't put it down!
I just reviewed Ms Perfectly Fine by Kate Callaghan. #MsPerfectlyFine #NetGalley

Ms. Perfectly Fine is, in fact, fine. I loved the premise of this book, and I was excited to read a rom-com with a suspense aspect, but this one was a little all over the place.
I really enjoyed the representation of chronic illness in this story, and I felt like the author did a great job of showcasing what life for someone dealing with chronic pain would truly be like. I also loved the fact that Elijah was a gamer and his relationship with Francis/Aiden. It was a fun read for those things.
The plot, however, was a little all over the place. Would a landlord honestly just let someone move in without telling their tenant? And Elijah just moving her things out into a storage unit without even asking her? I'm sorry, that's just not realistic to me.
Also, Autumn and Elijah's enemy to lovers status evolved so quickly that their relationship just wasn't believable to me. I'm supposed to believe that they went from enemies to head-over-heels in love in less than three weeks?
The writing overall felt bland. The author seemed to be doing a lot of "telling" instead of showing and the characters weirdly didn't express much emotion and then were suddenly crying or declaring their love to each other. I spent a lot of time scratching my head on that one.
I saw a lot of reviews saying that the stalker story came out of no where, but I actually think this was done fairly well. There were subtle hints the entire story, and it didn't come out of left field for me. Overall, I think this book had a lot of potential but I think it needs a good edit and some rewrite before it hits the shelves.

The ending was predictable but overall I really enjoyed the writing and characters. The banter was amazing!

First, thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for providing me a copy in exchange of my honest review.
This boos was a 4 stars for me. It was cute, spice here and there, she is the grumpy and he is the sunshine, some intrigue because of a stalker, tragedy; and a chronic condition. I like how she overcame her tragic past, and deal with her condition. He was so supportive to her and I was in a awwweee, he truly see how strong she was and simply was there for her. Overall everything was super cute, I enjoyed the whole book, but it was a little predictable with the plot twist. No third act break up, and HEA. I read this one in one sitting!

Ok wow where do I even start with this book? First off thank you Kate for writing such a beautiful story. You said in your ending authors note that this book was your Everest and you did an AMAZING job. This was a book that I only put down when I absolutely had too (I highly considered taking a vacation day from work to read this book). Thank you for giving the perspective of someone who struggles with chronic pain. It really helped me understand why my step mom acts and thinks the way she does. Autumn’s character reminded me a lot of her, but also myself and my anxiety.
This is a very beautifully written story about a young woman struggling with self acceptance and finding her place in her own life after an awful incident 10 years prior. It also showcases how those of us with trauma, whether it be physical or mental, tend to wall people out of our lives just as Autumn did to Elijah and most of her friends and family for the majority of the novel.
4/5 ⭐️ overall plot
2/5🌶️
Pros of this book: chronic pain representation, curvy FMC, I wasn’t able to guess the plot twist, a golden retriever (need I say more?).
Cons of this book: I think this book could have benefited from more show not tell. At certain points it could feel quite jumpy and I wouldn’t really understand how we got from point A to point B because we were just told that’s where we were at not shown it. I would have appreciated more development and tension with Elijah’s character. Even though he was the male lead there were times he felt more like a plot device.

Thank you for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.
Absolutely love the premise of this story but the two MCs are too juvenile for me. I also felt like I was missing something. DNF at 50%.

This is a quick romance read that has a little bit of everything, rom com, some spice, and suspense. I loved the chronic pain rep.
Okay my reason for 4 stars- the enemies to lovers was pretty heavy on the enemy. I felt like it went a little too far past prank at times and they were just mean to each other. Even when they were supposed to be connecting more their “banter” fell a little flat as it was still just meanness. Without getting too spoilery I just want to root for the enemies but in this case I felt like Elijah initially was presenting as just too much of a not great person with little to no apology. At times I didn’t see how either one really deserved it. It read a tad childish.
There were some pretty swoony moments that I did appreciate and I felt the suspense aspect was handled well.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the ARC!

This book was cute and really touched on chronic pain and survivor's guilt which i liked.
I think that the characters are relatable and their HEA brought me so much joy.
I just didn't think there was much relationship growth before they were in love and owning a home. But that being said i think overall this is a cute quick read romance and i would recommend it.

This is a sincere, genuine, touching, romance with an honest take on what’s like to live with chronic pain.
After Autumn and Elijah are forced to live together, sparks (and insults) fly. Autumn is a concert pianist with a tragic backstory, Elijah is a game designer with secrets of his own. Both are now sharing a house after Autumn’s landlord rented the ground floor of her town house.
This book was very cute and I absolutely loved the bantering. I really liked the spice, even if it all felt a little bit rushed. Overall, my biggest problem was that I didn’t feel much of an emotional connection between the characters, it all felt a little bit like Instalove. Something about the writing felt a little odd and disconnected, but it was not bad per se. The mystery bit was very entertaining even if the end was a little predictable.
Overall, this was a fast-paced and enjoyable read.
