I wanted to like this one more than I did, and it’s hard to put my finger on exactly what I didn’t love about it. The main character is gifted a café in a small town from her aunt, and, when she arrives to take ownership of the café, she meets a local farmer that she immediately has friction with. With the list of tropes that I love (grumpy x sunshine, small town, found family), it didn’t pull me in as much as I wanted.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A solid, if overly long and repetitive small town romance set during the Fall // Halloween season on the East Coast.
I would read more from the author, but not if the same audiobook narrator narrates because the voice just sounded slightly granny to me, when these are twenty-somethings.
Also, Logan is a piece of work and needs massive therapy wow. Talk about wrecked by an embarrassing public proposal that HE ENGINEERED even knowing that he was in a troubled long-distance relationship. Dude, you brought that on yourself and you need to figure out your abandonment issues. I just found it especially a lot because it was repeated over, and over, and over again.
the pacing was also a bit off for me; lots of cock block moments where they get to kissing and get interrupted, and then no full sex scene until the very end, right before the bleak moment, and then a imo too easy forgiveness and get back together.
The entire mystery arc was so silly because it just petered out and self-solved.
maybe i'm rating too highly, but ANY WAY I did have an okay time listening and didn't stop. let's just say i'm giving a full star because he is a hero who eats, and we did get some on-page sexy times even if they were not very steamy (think a bit more explicit in words than Nora Roberts).

I thought I’d love this book and it just fell sort of flat for me.
Nothing really stuck or drew me into it. It all felt very much like the book was just whatever.

The Pumpkin Spice Café is a light and cosy read that delivers exactly what you would expect from the title. It has a sweet small-town setting, comforting autumn vibes and a gentle romance that feels made for a quiet afternoon with a blanket and a hot drink.
There is nothing particularly wrong with the book, but it does feel quite basic overall. The characters are pleasant enough, the plot is easy to follow and the writing is simple and accessible. However, it never quite stands out or offers anything especially memorable.
If you are looking for something soft, undemanding and filled with seasonal charm, this will likely do the trick. It is the kind of book that is nice while you are reading it, but it may not stay with you for long after you finish.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early copy.

I’d heard so many good things about this book and it didn’t disappoint! Jeanie and Logan are a fantastic couple and I enjoyed their story. Both characters need a bit of a change in life so they’re great together. The small town setting with the funny characters really drew me in and I found myself chuckling along so many times. Read this one on a flight and couldn’t put it down.

This was a book I picked up with high expectations: unfortunately, I wasn't won over. The author's writing is very good, but I found the character development very shallow; I was expecting much more. The setting of the book is incredible, it makes you want to visit the café and take a walk around the city. For fans of the TV show Gilmore Girls, it's a must-read.
But I'll say again that the characters lacked development, since the book takes place over a period of 1 month.
However, it's worth mentioning that although I was sad, it was this reading that got me out of the literary hangover of months without being able to finish a book.

This book is a cozy autumn day, a fuzzy blanket and a pumpkin spice latte in book form. I honestly enjoyed this novel so much and love every other book in the small town series by Laurie gilmore.

This is the first book in the Dream Harbour series by a new to me author. It's a cosy cute quick read, perfect for autumn. With its feel good vibes of the Gilmore Girls and small town living. A will, they won't they stay together senario after the couples numerous fall outs?
The gorgeous cover artwork invites you to pick it up and curl up in front of a fire with a cosy blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and take time away from the real world.

So, so cozy! Perfect for reading on a rainy fall day: pure comfort.
Sweet and heartwarming: I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital review copy in exchange for my honest thoughts!

It was so cosy (and spicier than what I thought!) and such the perfect Autumn read! Jeanie and Logan are just such Cinnamon Rolls!

I really enjoyed this book. It gave off the autumn feel with love in the air. I enjoyed the chemistry between Jeanie & Logan. It was an enjoyable easy book and I want to read more from this author.

From the cover you might expect a little more mystery in this book but it is a fast, light read. Did much conflict or character development happen? No but its a nice cleanser to just check out and have a nice fluffy read.

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe was a fun story. I appreciate the personal growth that multiple characters go through. It was great to see the different characters overcome their challenges and support each other.

This one was a pleasant surprise to me - I started reading and thought I'd inadvertently requested a cosy, which I try to avoid because the genre conventions of no spice are not my thing. So imagine my delight when I found out it was a rule breaking cosy-with-spice! Sweet romance, and a solid start to the series.

This was a cosy book filled with all the autumnal vibes and plenty of spice! It had me smiling from start to finish. I look forward to reading the next cinnamon book!

So cute and it was one I just couldn’t put down.. I loved this book so much that I had to buy a copy right away and I already recommended to everyone.

I really enjoyed this read. It was sweet and enjoyable. Not reallt what I usually read but it was fun and cozy. I think this book is easy to read and perfect to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee or tea.

Loved this book! I'm a sucker for a seasonal romance and this one certainly delivered. It was just the right amount of cozy.

Fall is my favorite season and this book really transported me into the middle of the season. I really enjoyed the different side characters that we got to meet and the small town feel. I cannot wait to read more books in the series as Laurie releases them.

In Laurie Gilmore's The Pumpkin Spice Café,
Jeanie receives an unexpected gift: her aunt's beloved café. Leaving her city life behind, Jeanie relocates to Dream Harbor, ready to settle into her new life.
However, she soon discovers mysterious occurrences at the café, and encounters the undeniably handsome but grumpy, Logan. Despite his best efforts to resist Jeanie's charm, Logan finds himself falling fast.
Overall I liked this book very much. It is a delightful cozy romance that is perfect for anyone who loves small-town charm, found family and Gilmore Girls vibes. I loved the grumpy-sunshine dynamic between Jeanie and Logan.
Thank you Netgalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for this book.
