Thank you NetGalley, Publsihers, and Tammy Tyree for gifting me a copy of Witches & Walk-in's in return for my honest opinion.

3.5/5 stars

Whip-smart hypnotherapist Alexandra Heale leads a double life. A natural-born witch, she lives under a death sentence. But she's been too clever to get caught. When she tries to help Betty; a woman possessed by a traumatized spirit, Alex finds herself under attack. Against her better judgment, she enlists the help of Deputy Sheriff Blake Sheraton, a man she swore to hate, who maybe isn't so bad - if he could keep her secrets and ignore his pledge to uphold an evil law. The world of demons is about to descend on peaceful Castle Point, and only one witch can stop the unthinkable. Even if it costs her life.

What I Loved
-I was hooked right off the bat and my interest was held throughout.
-Alex is a fun and entertaining character and I loved her sassy Familiar.
-I was guessing throughout with all the twists and turns.

What I wish was better
-Time gaps that were confusing at points.
-More decisiveness on the characters' part, they were very back and forth through parts of the book.

Final Thoughts
I enjoyed the writing style during most parts of the book but there were points that it felt like a totally different read.

I'm sorry at this point. I wanted to read it, but sadly, multiple POVs are not my thing. I will try to read as much as possible, as the Prologue already sounds great, but I don't know if I'll write a proper review.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

This is an enjoyable witchy story with mystery, suspense, and a little bit of spice. I did notice a few inconsistencies that took me out of the story but they’re the type that will probably get cleaned up during editing. It is fast-paced but some of the plot points are shoved in toward the end without much buildup. I would read the other books in this series but they aren’t books I have to have in my personal library. Give this a try if you like cozy fantasy but are craving a little more intrigue and maybe-romance.

This was an ok book. It wasn't groundbreaking, or very interesting.

I disliked the romantic subplot. A capable and intelligent woman falls for her childhood tormentor based on little more than his good looks. It reminded me of the kind of romance novel I deplore.

I wish I could be more positive especially as this is the author's debut but in actuality this wasn't a memorable read.

I received a free ebook from Netgalley. This is my honest review.

In this book, we meet Alexandra Heale. She is a witch and a therapist who helps people get rid of demon possessions. We also meet Betty Burke, who has just awoken from a coma to find that she is not actually Betty, but Sharon Myles. There is also a demon possesing Sharon's husband Mitch.

The author did an amazing job of making me think that Dr. John Middleton was actually the demon. But, it was someone else entirely.

The funniest parts of the book was the banter between Alexandra and her familiar, a cat named Blackjack.

Overall, I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars. I would love to read the second book.

The was the first book I have read by the Author Tammy Tyree, the cover and the title drew me in, but the blurb went in for the kill, it is what got me hooked and made me decide to read the book.

Waking up from a 9-month long coma was a shock for “Betty”, where was she? Why was she there? And most importantly, who was she? Why was everyone calling her Betty?

The way the author wrote, it was like I was right there with Betty when she woke up in the hospital, hearing the alarms going off, seeing all the tubes especially the one that was down her throat, she was feeling lost and confused by everything and everyone around her. She did not know how she got there but she was ready to leave.

I loved all nicknames Betty gave the nurses when she woke up, pink puppy nurse, which later turned into pink puppy #(%&$ nurse. And then booty nurse who she really liked, she was sure she put a curse on pink puppy nurse for being such a &(^%). Betty seems like my kind of people.

The characters in this book were so fun, loved all of them, well almost all but I cannot tell you anything about that or I would be like that person who spoils the movie for everyone by talking too much.

So, if you are in the mood for a great book, head on over and pick this one up and give it a try. Until then, blessed be.

I am conflicted about this book. On one hand we have a seasoned witch, using her abilities to help others, running two successful businesses. Because witchcraft is outlawed, she has to be extremely careful about who knows about her powers. Now enters her childhood bully who tormented her and others to the point she did something so catastrophic that she ended up in juvie and the entire town is under a forgetting spell. Due to lust she jeopardizes her livelihood and entire existence. All logic and rational goes out the window, when she could have used her powers. I am disturbed by this genre of women falling for and romanticing abusers, quick to forgive heinous and despicable behavior, resulting in continually placing themselves in harm's way over and over again.

Thanks netgalley for preview.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a review E- galley of this book. As always my opinions are mine free and clear.
This is a debut for Tammy Tyree, and I think she is only going to get better as she goes. I enjoyed this book very much, The themes were familiar, which made them fun for me to relate to and enjoy. I do see that for some it may feel like another iteration of other books. I think that Tammy has done a great job, making this just different enough to hook readers in. I do, hope she makes this a series as it would be fun to see where it goes! 3.8 Stars
Fun read! The best part is it is out now! Go get it!

Alexandra, witch and therapist, is faced with a tricky case of demon possession. Problem? There are laws against witchcraft and Alex prefers not to be burned at the stake.

On the whole, this is an entertaining story. The stakes are high, the characters are engaging, and the pace is fast. The prologue is unfortunate, since the same information could have been revealed as the story progressed, without the two and a half pages of "tell". Occasional verb tense bloopers (suddenly in present tense, suddenly in future tense) interfere with smooth reading. But otherwise, this is a quick, enjoyable story, great for vacation reading.

Thank you to NetGalley and Shake Empire Press for the opportunity to read rage and review this book which is available April 28,2023.

This was an okay read. It was fun and a fast paced novel but I feel like I’ve read this story before. Nothing really stuck with me and it was a chore to get through

I hadn’t read this author before, but I was really intrigued by the blurb and drawn in by the cover. The more I read, the more I loved this book. It’s an interesting take on the witch/witch hunter theme where witches are immediately burned on a pyre when found. I’m not sure if it’s just in this town or all over. I loved Alexandra and the town, and all the other characters were so interesting. I was not prepared for the end, though, and I’m more than angry at one of the characters but can’t tell you who as I don’t want to spoil it. I don’t want to like this character, but I do, and now I’m torn. LOL! Anyway, this book was well-written entertainment, a great urban fantasy, and I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen when Alex finds out that…well, read this and see! Highly recommend.
