May have liked the way this was written as a book vs. audiobook. Nothing against the narrator. They were good. I just didn’t connect with the characters.

Sadly it feel flat for me, I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't hit. Not much to say about it.

This was a wonderful book and I'll be purchasing it for the library!

Cute book, messy characters, fun email correspondence.
Gracie is going through a rough time in her life after a break up and contacts her highschool crush after a drunken night out and everything changes after he responds back and they reconnect.

I really enjoy light-hearted titles like this one. But this wasn't a favorite. The characters just weren't enjoyable and there wasn't enough to the story to make me want to finish it. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the audio ARC.

LOVE THIS BOOK! All the characters are wonderful and so relatable. This book is also soooo funny! It needs to be a Rom-Com movie!

This book was a fun, enjoyable read, but not one I will remember. I enjoyed it but it didn’t WOW me.

This book was so cute - I loved the concept and I am a sucker for a book about books. This story gave me everything I wanted, I loved Gracie and Colin, their banter and their interactions gave me the warm fuzzy feeling I always look for in a rom-com. It was such a great pallet cleanser to have me feeling good during stressful real life days.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED the premise of this book! I adored Colin and Gracie as they were hilarious together and I loved how they worked together to write Gracie’s novel. The romance between the two of them was on fire and I could not wait for them to start dating. The story of Colin’s marriage made me so sad and I loved how by allowing Gracie to use his story in her novel, he was being so open and vulnerable with her which most men would not be willing to do. This was a fun book and I loved the romance in it.

This book missed the mark for me, though the premise is a lot of fun. Gracie Landing is a romance writer on the heels of the end of her engagement with nothing positive on the horizon. In a drunken stupor she emails her high school crush. She doesn't expect him to reply, but he does and so begins their email-real life exchange. It was funny and cute, but a lot of scenes that just didn't seem necessary.

as a book lover, this was sweet but i also found the characters immature. DNF for now, might pick this up at a later time and give it a second chance!

Such a sweet story !
A few expected plot twists but overall a sweet romcom perfect for bookworms and the summer!

Sorry, but this is a DNF for me. I found the characters immature and there were too many poop jokes.

I loved this audio! Colin and Gracie's relationship was precious, the twists were perfect, and I found myself laughing out loud more than once. I am very picky about my audiobooks and narrators and this one made me feel like a movie was playing out in my mind. This was dangerous for driving but perfect for the experience :)

Gracie has had a rough patch in her romance life. One night she decides to email a past crush, Colin. Through the book it is evident that Gracie and Colin will end up together, even during an unexpected twist that Gracie’s editor is Colin’s ex-wife.
This book was pretty predictable and took me quite a while to finish. I would have loved more twists!
The narration for this audio book was fantastic!
Thanks to NetGalley for an copy of this book in exchange for my review.

K.J. Micciche really drew me in with their unique and funny The Book Proposal. I'll admit it took me a few chapters to "get" Micciche's humor, but once I jumped on board, I was laughing out loud.
The heroine, Gracie, is a bit of a goofball. And slightly buttoned up Colin is the perfect match for her.
You'd think once these two get together it would be smooth-sailing, but nope. LOL, that's when the real fun begins.
The audiobook is nicely performed by Nick Mondelli and Kelli Tager. Mondelli does a good job with Colin's steady delivery, and Tager 100% gets what the author is going for in Gracie. Very, very funny!

thank you to netgalley for the advanced listening copy of The Book Proposal. This was so much better on audiobook and was so cute and you could really get into it. This adorable unlikely romance.

This book has the humor of French Holiday by Sarah Ready, and it is exactly why I love it so much. Plus, it taught me a lot about at least one of the neighborhoods of New York. I didn't love the Starbucks praise (don't quote me on if it actually was Starbucks in this book) only because so much bad things have come out about working there on TikTok, but since it's fiction, I at least like the fictional side of Starbucks.

This was the lighthearted romcom that I needed to soothe my overworked mind and take me on a little escape. Not only is this about an author trying to come up with her next story that makes it appealing but it is about a protagonist that is just trying to make it on her own. It felt relatable. Gracie is still haunted by childhood/playground traumas but she is brave enough to admit it. She is all of us who are just trying to get through the day.

I needed this book. With a lot of medical issues in my family, I've been needing a lighthearted book that could give me a good laugh and this was it!
I loved the banter between the two protagonists. I havent connected with characters in a long time like I did with Gracie! She is me.. I am her.
This was a great summer read.
