This book was a little slow for me but I was able to get through it and finish it. I feel like it's was good just slow. I would try this author again though.

Suspenseful, tense and truly unputdownable! I love Mark Jenkin books and the dark twists to them. 5 stars!

This was an okay read for me. Full of some good suspense. I just wasn’t pulled in that much. I felt the book was slow.
Overall, I did enjoy it. But I wanted a little more.
Would definitely read this author again.
Thanks

This was definitely a page turner. I could not get through it fast enough. I appreciate the twists and found myself surprised many times. There were a few slow parts in the middle but they provided an opportunity for me to breath. Will definitely look for future books by the author!

What a brilliant debut novel from Mark Jenkins. Nina is a number one best selling author as is her mother Wilma but Nina is struggling to produce a new book. Her agent and friend Margo is desperate for her to finish her new book and even hires a nanny to help with the children to enable Nina to carry on with her writing. But when other competitive authors are found murdered she realises that her own life may be in danger. The characters were very likeable and the book had a good strong storyline with plenty of twists and turns. A recommended read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I really enjoyed this read and its a fantastic debut novel, you'd never guess this was the authors first book.
A gripping thriller full of twists and turns, I thought I had it all figured out so many times but was kept guessing to the very end. A well written book with a clever plot and brilliant characters, you'll struggle to put this one down.

Nina is a best selling author. At least she has been, until lately. Other authors are passing her on the charts, right and left, including her own mother. Nina has finally agreed to hire a nanny for her two children so that she has more time to write. When several of the other authors start showing up dead, seemingly by accidents, Nina starts to wonder how far someone in her life will go in order to help her get back on top of the best sellers list. The truth is shocking!

I loved this book! I can't give away my favorite part without it being a big spoiler, but pick it up and read it!!!

I read this book and finished it on May 3rd 2023 - 4/5 stars!

I enjoyed this book, although it took me a bit to get into and a little hard to follow at times. I’m not the greatest with reviews and am left a bit confused. Almost debated emailing the author because I don’t have a ton of time to go back through my kindle app to the points I need to. Either way, I enjoyed this read and the authors writing was great!

Thanks NetGalley for letting me read this!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this arc. I have never heard of this author before but, when you get a recommendation from Freida McFadden you know that you have to put it on tbr. This was the first book by this author and hopefully not his last. Nina was a lead character that you enjoyed getting to know through the book. Enjoy this book I liked it but, thought it was too many chapters and could of been a little shorter.

This book as a WILD ride! It took a bit to get going but once the twists started.. they never stopped until the last page. I honestly didn’t see any of the twists coming. This book was hard to put down because I just needed to know what happened. The only thing I wished was that one of the loose ends was tied up a bit more in the end. I really enjoyed this book though! Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC!

A rally good mystery….and a surprise as to who the murderer and their reasons were…a lot of secrets in the lives of these two. Outlets which I kept my interest and the ending still left a question… really enjoyed this one.

I loved all the background drama as well as all the twists! I did not see most of them coming and I am usually pretty good at guessing. I also liked how the ending kind of left you wondering what was going to happen next. Overall, a good read and I would absolutely recommend this book to all those that love a thriller.

Wow ! I can’t believe this is a debut author and book!! It was so good !! I stayed up half the night just to finish it ! Once you hit around the 60% mark , the book is unputdownable ! I had to finish it!! I never would have guessed how this was all going to play out either ! I loved the twists and turns !!
I really enjoyed this one and I’ll be looking for the next one !

Thank you so much for the ARC NetGalley and the author !!

I wanted to enjoy this book. It started well, then fizzled about halfway for me. I ran out of time to finish the end, but I'm not sure it would have helped. I will give this book another read once it comes out to see if the outcome is worth the tedious midway plot.

With One Stone is a fantastic first novel by Mark Jenkins. It immediately had me hooked! If you're good at predicting endings, this is a breath of fresh air! Multiple times throughout the book I was positive I had the ending figured out, only to discover that none of my predictions in the major plot twist were correct. The author keeps you invested in all of the characters and turning the pages.
The book is very well-written, but does require some additional edits for typos, but that was the only negative I have for this book.
