I read the kind version of this book but I really wanted to listen to the audiobook version. Unfortunately I missed it but I will definitely be purchasing a copy and listening to it because I really enjoyed this book and this whole series.

Okay, full disclaimer: I love grumpy sunshine books and this one was charming and sweet.

Grant may just be the doctor with the worst bedside manner until he's with his daughter Fiona. Then his whole countenance lightens and he became a new man. His evident love for his daughter was a pleasure to read and made you want to peel back the layers of Dr. Grant to see if he had what it takes to be in a relationship.

I loved Jaime. I've only read one other book in this series and she was my favorite character then. She was a source of positivity and hope who took pleasure in being on being a beacon of light to others.

Her relationship with Fiona and then with Grant was exactly what each of them needed and also what she did too.

Doctorshipped had some laugh out funny scenes--really and I enjoyed seeing Grant come undone as he fell in love with Jamie.

I listened to the audiobook version of Doctorshipped. Amy McFadden and Will Damron did a fabulous job portraying the characters and drawing me into the story.

I received a review copy of the audiobook from the publisher through NetGalley; a positive review was not required.

If you need a delightful Rom-Com full of heart and happiness, with some plots twists thrown in...look no further! This is the book for you (and series)! I'm so glad I took a chance with this series! I had seen friends enjoying the first couple of books and I thought about picking them up but then didn't. Then had a chance to review the audiobook for one of the books in the series and I jumped right in at the chance and haven't looked back!!!

Y'all this series is so much fun!!! If you want a fun fictional town to visit, Bordeaux (Bored Ox) is the town for you. The characters are charming, witty, spunky, delightful, hysterical and so much more. Especially the three senior citizen ladies. Oh. My. Heavens!!! They crack me up! I just love them so much! And the main group of friends, who the book series centers around, are just the best. They are so kind and loving and caring about each other. And welcoming to the love interests that show up.

Jayme was a character that I was hoping to get to enjoy her story soon and I loved it in this book!!! She's the awesome young cat lady who writes fantasy novels and is just all around delightful! And the first time we see her in this book is through the eyes of Grand and his 12 year old daughter Fiona. Hahaha! Oh my heavens. I love all of the misperceptions and then it just keeps going from there!

The chemistry is sizzling and adds a satisfying layer to Grant and Jayme's story. Grant has some personal issues that he's working through and trying to be the support and dad that Fiona needs after losing her mom. This new start in Bordeaux is just the right fit for them. But he needs to let his walls down and put his heart out there for Jayme, cause she's the girl who will cherish it!!!

Oh, and watch out for the plot twists! *grins and rubs hands*

I listened to an audiobook of this book and loved the two narrators, Amy McFadden and Will Damron! They are awesome together! They've brought all the stories to life in audiobooks for this series and it's so fun to jump back into another audiobook and hear their voices.

Content: Clean.

I received a copy from Dreamscape Media, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

This book starts at an airport - where people cross paths and never see each other again. Which is not the case with this story.

Grant gets surprised by a beautiful Jayme freaking out at the ticket counter. Later, when he’s inside the plane waiting for take-off, she arrives late and sits beside him. While retrieving their luggage, Jayme’s suitcase “explodes” and Grant helps her get everything back inside. Enough? No, when Grant is finally set in his new house/workplace, in a new town, he needs to interview a tutor for his daughter. I bet you see where this is going… The new tutor is Jayme!

I loved Jayme and Grant - the characters and their interactions. As for secondary characters, Fiona was adorable, and Grant’s father was loving and wise.

This book has an interesting plot that will get you stuck to it. I kept reading it until it was finished.

The downside of this book, for me, was divided into two parts: there was a time in the story when I felt like the author was throwing every cliché we love in there; and, when Grant is building up to his big gesture, it felt too long to be true.

Anyway, don’t let that make you not want to read the book. It’s worth your time. I enjoyed it, and it is not any book that makes me laugh out loud at 2 am when everyone else in the house is sleeping.

If you go for the audiobook, you won’t regret it. It’s good at every level!

Doctorshipped is book #5 in Savannah Scott's Getting Shipped series. This is a small-town, grumpy-sunshine, single-dad romantic comedy and can be read or listened to as a standalone.

Jayme Culhane is a 27-year-old fantasy/romance writer living in small-town Bordeaux, Ohio. She has a variety of part-time jobs to help pay her bills since she is an independent author. Although she professes to be happily single, she feels lonely because all her close female friends have either gotten married or are engaged. She was cheated on by a past boyfriend, Shane, and doesn’t ever want to feel that way again, so she is committed to singlehood.

Jayme meets a grumpy handsome man and his adorable daughter in the airport when she is stuck at Security because she has misplaced her driver’s license. When she finally makes it onto the plane, she switches seats with the little girl and they become friends. Then she falls asleep and drools on the grumpy man’s shirt.

Dr. Grant Peppers is a 34-year-old physician who is raising his 11-year-old daughter on his own after losing his wife to cancer. He decides to relocate from St. Louis to tiny Bordeaux to give himself and his daughter a fresh start. He plans to practice medicine with his nurse practitioner cousin, Hazel, in a large Victorian home that will double as their residence. Since his daughter, Fiona, is dyslexic, he hires a tutor for her and is shocked when the tutor is the woman from the plane!

Jayme and Fiona form an instant bond, and Jayme really steps in as the primary female figure in Fiona’s life. Jayme and Grant’s relationship progresses slowly, and Grant loses some of his broodiness, until his past comes back to haunt him. Jayme’s trust is shattered and they have to decide if they really want to be together.

Doctorshipped is an easy-to-read romantic comedy with realistic characters. I really couldn’t understand Jayme’s reasoning for staying single; people experience some kind of romantic heartbreak and don’t swear off love forever. The whole medical practice is unrealistic; they don’t comply with HIPAA regulations and cannot be operating at a profit. Aside from the implausible plot points, the story is enjoyable. It is a clean romance with no profanity or sex.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron. They do a masterful job of bringing the characters to life and projecting their personalities. Both nail the Midwestern accent.

I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) from Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is hands down my favorite Savannah Scott book - Dr. Grant Peppers (LOL - loved the name) and Jayme couldn't be more opposite. Jayme is floating through life without a care in the world - which for her - isn't a bad thing. She has four jobs and doesn't ever want to be in a relationship again. Whereas, Grant is a single dad who is as serious as they come and the epitome of a grump.

When Jayme starts tutoring Grant's daughter Fiona, both Jayme and Grant find themselves being attracted to one another. Until one day they act on their feelings and never look back. I really loved how Fiona found out and her reaction.

There is also a pretty big twist in this book, which I was 100% not expecting at all. But it totally makes sense at the end and I really loved it!

Looking forward to seeing Brooks get his HEA in the future!

I love this novel. It had all the feels, was funny and I was invested in the characters. Jaime and Dr. Grant we’re truly an opposites attract couple. Their quirks suited each other. The narrators were amazing. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the ending was rushed. It took a turn and I felt that it was simply rushed. I highly recommend this read.

A heartwarming, small town, grumpy/sunshine, single dad, dual POV romance between Grant, a doctor new to the town of Bordeaux and Jayme, the curvy romance/fantasy writer who feels like the last single one in her friend group and who also needs to increase her social media following in order to get a better book deal.

I loved these two MCs so much!! Grant is a great dad to his young daughter, Fiona who has dyslexia. He hires Jayme to help tutor Fiona and can't help falling for her bubbly personality and the wonderful way she is with his daughter! Definitely my favorite of the series so far and great on audio too with a twist I did NOT see coming!

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review. I so enjoy watching Indie authors find audiobook deals for their books! This was definitely worth the wait to listen on audio narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron. Recommended for fans of authors like Sarah Adams, Erin Branscom and Emma St. Clair.

Steam level: PG (kissing only)

Another fun return to Bordeaux! This series is such a great place to turn for cute, light reads.

Even though this is a fairly standard romcom, similar to the other books in the series, the charming characters makes this series stand out. Fiona is my favorite new addition to this series.

Overall, I did really like the overall message in Grant and Jayme's story, but I wasn't a huge fan of the third act conflict. I had suspected that that was the direction this book was going, and I wasn't a fan. As much as a like miscommunication subplots, I wish the third act conflict had been the result of a miscommunication, rather than what Grant actually did, which is immature at best and toxic at worst.

Despite this, the pacing of the third act conflict was nicely done, and I think everything was resolved in a mature way, but I still wasn't a fan of the catalyst. Still a fun read, and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

I thought this was a really cute story but it went on too long. The whole middle chunk could've easily been condensed to just a few chapters. At one point, not sure who said it but it was stated "crazy that we've only known each other for a few months" and all I could think was "yes and I've read every single thought you've had those whole few months". It was just too long to keep my attention but I pushed through till the end.

The story was definitely predictable but still entertaining in areas. I loved Grant and Fiona! Love me a devoted single dad! Jayme was okay - I didn't like how she kept stating her need to be single blah blah blah. The twist was a shocker considering how things had been discussed prior in the book but I didn't mind how it was handled. And I think the groveling at the end was super endearing!!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an audiobook of this title! Will look into reading the rest of this series.

This audiobook was beyond my expectations. I have never listened to a book with these narrators but I found the experience highly enjoyable. I love all the books from the shipped series and this one did not disappoint. I will definitely be adding this book to my library.

"The hard times makes love grow roots."

The 5th book, Doctor Shipped, of this series is my favorite so far by Patty and Savannah Scott. Laugh out loud funny with Jayme's fun T-shirts, the 3 Gossipy Golden Girls, and the squirrel stew incident. There's also tender moments and a surprising twist I never saw coming listening to this heartfelt romance.

Dr. Grant Peppers (let the Dr. Pepper puns begin) and 11 year old daughter Fiona move to our small town to recover from the loss of his wife. He has an hilarious meet cute with paranormal romance writer Jayme and both are surprised when she's Fiona's tutor.

As always, narrators Amy Mcfadden
and Will Damron are brilliant in this grumpy/sunshine trope that'll have tears spilled from laughing, crying and a shocking twist.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from #dreamscapemedia via #NetGalley for a fair and honest reviews. All opinions are my own.

This has become one of my favorite series! I love Bordeaux and all of its quirky residents! Savannah Scott has a way of creating characters that you just have to love. I was so happy to see a few more Shipped book on the horizon.

Thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for access to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I've enjoyed the Bordeaux stories, and this one was a nice addition. The characters are quirky and the story was fun.

In this one, Dr. Grant Peppers and his daughter have recently relocated to Bordeaux to be near Grant's cousin, Hazel. He's perfectly fine performing medicine but wants nothing to do with letting people get close to him again. In his experience, that way only leads to heartache. Everyone other than his daughter can just keep their distance, please and thank you!

Of course, that's not how they do things in Bordeaux, and it doesn't take long before the town and one particular woman gets under his skin, whether he likes it or not.

While I've read other books in this series, the story is fine as a standalone.

Thanks to Savannah Scott, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced review copy.

I’m loving Savannah Scott and her Bordeaux series! I definitely have to check out her other pen name books after I finish this one off. She’s a great author and she has really sucked me into this town and her words.

I adore the small town of Bordeaux that she’s created, all of the characters, and I’m very invested in all of these friendships now. I will be sad when it comes to an end!

Book 5 is finally Jayme’s story, our beloved romance author who has sworn off her own romance, and men entirely, after a terrible dating history. She’s lived with roommates that have found their partners and now has to figure out new living arrangements… I definitely relate to Jayme!

After a writing conference she’s flying home and has a very unique meet-cute with very grumpy single dad Grant, with adorable daughter Fiona. The girls hit it off and he keeps trying to hide his attraction under his grumpiness. Turns out, he’s the new town doctor, and he’s hired Jayme as Fiona’s new tutor (recommended by his cousin Hazel), so they’ll be spending an awful lot of time around each other.

This was a well written story with a huge twist I couldn’t see coming - very interesting! There were a couple things that I found that didn’t allow me to give this the 5-star rating I have given others in the series (can’t mention in the review because it would spoil big parts of the plot and surprise, but readers will understand what they are once getting towards the end why I couldn’t give the full 5).

Still absolutely loving Will Damron and Amy McFadden as narrators! I really hope nothing changes for the rest of the series. They are great together and perfect for these characters!

I received an advance listen copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback.

WHY do I keep going back to this series? Maybe I keep hoping that it will get better. I took notes along the way in place of my reading journey and thought I’d share them here in lieu of my review:

-Author calls flight attendants “stewardesses.” This is not the 1960’s. The editor should not have let that pass.

-Male narrator sounds like he is delivering the news, not acting a role.

-Female narrator ends most sentences with falling intimation and vocal fry. It just was unpleasant to listen to.

-Author always has her female characters saying and doing very childish things such as “butter pickles and freckles” as an expletive.

-Waaaaay too much exposition. Author gives too much random background info or inside stories that do not propel the story along. It’s like a middle schooler trying to get enough words to complete their essay

-Tired of the word “grumpy” to describe Grant. There are other adjectives to describe him except this one.

-I just don’t see it. I don’t see the love connection between the two main characters. We hear each others thoughts but I just don’t see the chemistry.

-Memaw drives me crazy. All the old grannies in town just annoy me. They are there to make the town seem small and folksy and quirky, but they just distract from the point of the story. Again, too much exposition.

Sorry, I usually have positive things to say about a book and author but not for this series. I want my 11+ hours back that I spent listening to this one.

This grumpy sunshine romance story is absolute perfection. I’ve fallen in love with this wild group of individuals in Bordeaux, Ohio and they never cease to make me happy.

This one features the new doctor in town, Grant, who arrives with his daughter and finds himself tethered to Jamie when he hires her to tutor his daughter.

The usual small town atmosphere exists here and we get the different backstories of our main characters as well. I was able to enjoy the audiobook thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape and as usual the dual narrators for the dual POV really makes the story pop. There’s no struggle remembering which POV we are in the throes of and I adore these narrators together.

I’d absolutely recommend this. While it’s a series these can definitely be read out of order or as standalones. They’re all great.

-Audiobook Review-

Two people swearing to single-hood for the rest of their lives.

I went into this story blind. First time experiencing Savannah Scott’s work and also first time listening to Amy McFadden and Will Damron.
Jayme is watching all her friends get engaged and married while she has sworn to be single for the rest of her life after heart break. That is, until she meets the new hot doc in town. Dr Grant is a single father of a wonderful daughter, Fiona, they lost her mother and decided to move to Bordeaux. Under crazy circumstances both Jayme and Grant’s lives collide and it’s the cutest romcom vibe. The way things take a turn in this story will have you rethinking if you read or listened to the details. I was second guessing myself for a while. But I really enjoyed the ending of this story. Grant did a good job of showing up for the woman he loves.

This is my first time listening to these two narrators. Amy McFadden as Jayme was hilarious. She’s a quirky woman whose got a ton of jobs and quickly realizing her oath to herself may not be kept. Amy portrayed this well along with Will Damron. Grant’s broody and moody but also the sweetest thing since chocolate chips when it comes to his baby girl. The emotions that come out of Will when he realizes she’s “the one” fit perfectly with this character.

After listening to this I am interested in hearing all the other Bordeaux town’s love stories. I am still laughing over how they pronounce the name of this town.

Book #5 of the Getting Shipped series (but first book of the series for me)
👨‍⚕️The small town of Bourdeux is looking for a new doctor. Dr. Grant Pepper needs a fresh start, so he moves with his 11 year old daughter to start a new life. As the new, single man in town, Grant suddenly has a lot of "sick" patients, but he isn't looking for friends. He just wants to take care of his daughter.

👩Jayme has sworn off men and prefers to float through life on her pink cloud of perpetual sunshine. She is the perfect tutor for Grant's daughter and finds techniques to help Fiona deal with dyslexia and the social drama that comes with being an 11 year old girl.

👨‍⚕️This book can be read as a stand-alone. It's a grumpy sunshine troupe with a closed door romance. I enjoyed the first 60% of the book. The next 25% was pretty slow and boring, and then a random "twist" was thrown in with a quick wrap-up of the book in the last few chapters. This wasn't really a character or plot driven book, which is probably why I found it a bit boring, and the ending felt too rushed. I enjoyed the banter sprinkled in and the writing style. Jayme has a great personality, full of life, and her character was well developed.

I listened to this on audio and the female narrator drove me crazy. Once I turned it to 2x speed it was a little better. Will Dramon did an excellent job playing Grant and his voice helps you fall in love with Grant's character.
