Doctorshipped by Savannah Scott
Getting Shipped series #5. Contemporary romantic comedy. Can be read as a stand-alone. Grumpy sunshine troupe.
Jayme feels like she’s the last single person in Bordeaux. She handles her multiple jobs with dexterity and joy. She has a goal. Accepting a tutoring job for the new doctor and his daughter has Jayme feeling a bit smitten. Maybe her man-free declaration was premature.
Adorably charming.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron in alternating chapters. These two perform with a wonderful amount of humor and drama. You can’t help falling in love just listening to their voices. Each has a distinct male / female variance but I feel McFadden did a better job with Fiona, the daughter. The timing is impeccable and the heart of the story comes through clearly.
I listened is story at 1.5 speed which is my most comfortable for conversational comfort.
I loved the ways Jayme came up with learning techniques for dyslexia and gave positive reinforcement. I also loved how Grant was a softer version of himself worth his daughter.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

Pretty sure my favorite part of this book was Fiona. She was such a cute character and part of this story. Grant and Jayme are truthfully one of my favorites in the series. Probably my second favorite. I love the way Savannah Scott has developed these characters. Her humor and light hearted romances just hit the spot!
🌀Synopsis
Jayme first meets Grant when she falls asleep on him while they are flying. She’s definitely not prepared to continue seeing him though and is shocked when she finds out he’s the new doctor moving to town.
She applies to be Fiona’s tutor though and is determined to help her as much as she possibly can. Through her tutoring, she gets to know both Grant and Fiona better. She finds out that Fiona’s mom had cancer and slowly but surely, Grant begins to open up to her more.
With some convincing from his dad, Grant decides to pursue Jayme. Both of them are very hesitant and committed to staying single. There is too much attraction there though and they just can’t stay apart.
One secret about Fiona’s mom threatens to tear them apart but they ultimately find a way to get through it.

Audio note: The audio was good! I'm not familiar with either narrator (Will Damron and Amy McFadden), but they both do a good job. I particularly enjoyed Damron's deep, stern voice, which was perfect for the grumpy doctor. McFadden infused a lot of bubbly vibes into her voice, which was great for Jayme as well. So no complaints there. The runtime is a little longer than I'd hope for such an easygoing rom com (12 hours), and it took me several sittings to get through. But it was perfect as a workday listen, and the lack of spice was a win for that as well. So I definitely enjoyed the audio experience.
Low angst and super cute, this is easygoing and lighthearted. It's got tons of small town charm, a great cast of characters, and a grumpy/sunshine dynamic that is always a win. Add in a single dad who also happens to be a doctor, and you can't go wrong with any of the components. I found the writing style to be a little TOO low stakes for me personally; I needed a little more tension to hold my interest. But I had a lot of fun jumping into the series, and it was an easy, palette cleanser of a read with lots of personality. This will be a win of small town lovers who enjoy a quirky rom com with no spice and a community feel. I had no trouble digging into this installment without reading the rest of the series first, but I bet it's even better experienced in order.
The story follows Grant, a doctor who just moved to a small town with his daughter. He's opening up his own medical practice and is looking for a tutor to help with his daughter's schoolwork, and both things are more complicated than expected. In a small town where everyone knows each other's business, Grant doesn't have his choice of tutors - he's stuck with Jayme. And while the eternally sunshiney woman seems to be great with his daughter, she makes the grumpy doctor uncomfortable. Not only does Jayme's bright and bubbly personality pull Grant in unexpectedly, but she also challenges him in a way no one else does. But both of them have sworn off love, and opposites don't really fit together anyways... right?
I've been meaning to try out this new-to-me author, and this was the perfect book to start with. It's got all the ingredients of a great read, and I really enjoyed the lighthearted rom com vibes. I read all heats levels, so I didn't mind that there was no spice (still some sexy kisses), but the lack of tension did get to me a little bit. It was SO light and SO easygoing - I'm honestly surprised that I'm complaining about that, lol. It was certainly a fun time, and I liked that it was cute and full of quirkiness. I can definitely see myself reading more from the author, though it's probably not the kind of book that will stay with me. It's a fun, popcorn read, and a feel good rom com that brightened up my day.

This is the fifth book in the Getting Shipped! Series however it can be read as a stand-alone, which is what I did. This is a grumpy x sunshine romance and I loved it so much especially with the cute small town romance atmosphere which is always a hit for me. The characters were adorable and I especially loved all the twists, I did not see them coming, I definitely will be going back to check out the rest of this series to learn about all the side characters and falls more in love with this small town.

Book 5 in the Getting Shipped! series. Technically would work as a stand alone, but will be better if you are familiar with the town of Bordeaux, Ohio.
Clean romance (grumpy/sunshine)
Jamie has vowed to stay single forever. (If you've been reading the series, you know this.) That all changes when single dad and new town doctor, Grant Peppers, comes to town. Grant has also sworn off love forever. Jamie agrees to tutor his daughter, Fiona. The more time Jamie and Grant spend together, the more they think maybe they were too hasty in swearing off love.
This was cute, but lacked a bit of the Bordeaux craziness. I was also disappointed that Jamie's pets were barely mentioned- they have a much bigger role in some of the previous books.
Fiona was great.
<spoiler>I really had Grant's dad moving to Bordeaux and taking one of the beloved senior ladies off the market </spoiler>
Amy McFadden and Will Damron are back to narrate the audiobook. They have narrated the entire series thus far.
I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received thus audiobook copy from Net Galley for an honest review. This whole series has been awesome. In this one, Jamie, who is an author of fantasy romance meets the one at the airport. Little does she know, he's the new doctor in town. Jamie is so fun, so funny, and an all around happy person to be around. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves rom-coms, like me.

This was my first Savannah Scott book, and I found it to be an absolute delight. I'm not crazy about a grumpy hero, but there was something about Grant that was very endearing. It was fun to see him interact with our sunshine heroine Jamie or his sweet daughter Fiona.
This was a lovely small town romance. I enjoyed all of the side characters so much so I'm going back to book 1 to read the whole Getting Shipped series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape media for the Advanced Listener Copy. Amy McFadden and Will Damron were wonderful narrators.
This is 4.5 stars for me.

Doctor(shipped) is laugh out loud goodness! Savannah Scott cracks me up with her spot-on take of various single characters as they find their own true love. The whole series follows a group of friends but can really be read and enjoyed in any order. In this story, Grant is single dad who is new to the area and trying to settle in as the new town’s doctor. Jayme has sworn herself to a life of singlehood and parenting her awesome furry four-legged kids. The meet-cute is amazing and sets the tone for the whole story. I really loved how Jayme stands up for herself and Grant learns how to let her in. I have really enjoyed getting lost in the series. I really feel like I get to know the characters and I love all the personality types, dynamics, and tropes that come into play. I highly recommend to all those who enjoy clean, laugh out loud romantic comedies.
The narrator does a great job capturing all the various characters, nuances, moods, and humor of everyone.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

4.5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 🎧
Bordeaux, Ohio is a small town that needs a new doctor and they get one and his delightful daughter.
Coming to town hasn’t been what the good doctor expected seeing as the disruptive woman in the airport is on his flight and his seatmate.
Grant just wants to get to town and get him and his daughter settled.
Jayme has decided she will be the single friend forever until Doctor Grant and his incredibly smart daughter become part of her life. I loved the meet-cute on the airplane to the meet again when Jayme becomes his daughter's tutor.
There is some miscommunication that I was scratching my head about for a good while but all is revealed in the end. I very much enjoyed how the conflict gets resolved. The effort and love that went into it.
Make me love stories like this all the more.
I loved the narration! They are Grant and Jayme.
This is a clean romance all you’re getting is a few kisses. 😘😘

This book was SOOOO GOOD! Awesome narration and MC’s! The story flowed well, and was easy to follow. Shout out to Netgalley and publishing for allowing me to listen and review this book!
4 STARS!

Thanks to the author, narrators, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free e-audio copy of this title in exchange for my review.
I am so grateful to have found this series! It is so much fun to read - or listen to. The characters are well fleshed out, the town seems like a real place, and the whole book feels like stepping into a group of friends or family reunion. Not only is it a great small town book, a great series for a group of friends, but it's a clean romance people of all ages can enjoy.
In this installment, we learn more about Jayme, roommate to Shannon, while she meets the new doctor in town, Grant Peppers (yes, Dr Peppers!) and his daughter Fiona. The story of their meeting is cute, the character of Fiona adds a new level of relationship, and it's it is wonderful to follow along as they get to know each other and fall in love.
I didn't really love the snag in their relationship - involving Grant's first wife. I felt like the story was really vague overall and we were mislead.
I could nit-pick about things I didn't care for, but overall this is a fun, relaxing book to read, and a real page turner, wanting to see what happens next in the relationship. The audiobook was well done with altering narrations.
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys friendship romances, small town romances, or someone just looking for a clean, fun romance.
4 stars for really enjoyed it.

Doctorshipped is the fifth romance in the Getting Shipped! Romance series. Grant, a new doctor, moves to Bordeaux, Ohio with his daughter for a fresh start and the last thing he is looking for is love. Jayme, a fantasy romance author, has watched all of her friends pair off, but has sworn off guys and is set on being single. They say opposites attract and when grumpy Grant and optimistic Jayme meet sparks fly.
I absolutely loved this book! This is a great romance with sparks, wit and a fun romance story. I’ve enjoyed every other book in this series and had always wondered what would happen with Jayme in the future. I knew that her swearing off men wasn’t going to last and I am so happy that she found Grant. He is the perfect person for her! I love this series and I can’t wait to see what else happens in Bordeaux. If you are looking for a great romance in a charming small town, pick up this book (and any other in this series)!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audiobook version of this book!

After listening to Censorshipped I knew I was going to love this. Doctorshipped by Savannah Scott is a small town romance with amazing characters, great banter, and fun tropes. Jayme is a cheery romantasy author and Grant is a grumpy doctor with a precious daughter. I love the grumpy x sunshine trope and this couple nailed it. I also love the relationship Jayme forms with Fiona. It was so heartwarming. I'm looking forward to reading more by Savannah Scott soon!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I love this series. I just can't get enough of them. Grant and Jayme were great characters. I loved seeing how they were both so resistant to love but they had such a strong connection. They were relatable and the story flew by.

This book sealed the deal for me, the Getting Shipped series and the town of Bordeaux are my favorite small town and my favorite rom-com series. Im not sure if this is my favorite in the series but it's very close between this one and Townshipped. The main reason I loved this book so much was because of the main character, Jamie.
Jamie has been with us since the beginning but she really had her moment to shine in the last book. Since the last book was about Shannon and Jamie is Shannon’s roommate we got to know her really well. I was so happy when I found out this entry would be about Jamie.
Jamie is such a strong character and in my opinion, is the most developed character in the series. She is a loyal friend, a successful author, and just a wonderful person. In the last book she tutored Duke and helped him prepare for a test, in this book we get to see a different side of Jamie and see just how smart she is. Her love interest, Grant, has a young daughter, Fiona, who has dyslexia. Jamie tutors her and shows her so many good learning methods to get her excellent ways of doing things even with dyslexia. For example, using a highlighter during measurements in baking instead of reading the letters.
Of the men in the Getting Shipped series Grant may be my least favorite. A good portion of why I didn’t like him was explained away by the end of the story but the damage was done. I still like him but when you have other characters like Duke, Aiden, Rob, and Trevor before you, you have big shoes to fill.
I love this series so much and I can not wait for the next entry.

Last woman standing?! Read by Amy McFadden and Will Damron, this closed-door rom-com is a fun installment in the stories of small town Bored-Ox (Bourdeaux), Ohio. Doctorshipped is Book 5 in the series and the found family vibes are strong with these friends.
There's nothing like a single dad romance to warm the heart. Especially when the young daughter is so likeable and is the first to win over the FMC.
Sometimes the good doctor was too grumpy for my taste; however, the dual POV gives us little glimpses into his grumpiness that make it easier to understand.
4/5 stars from me!
1/5 flames for great kisses and clean and sweet romance

Jayme is perfectly fine being the last single one in her friend group. While trying to get her career as a fantasy writer off the ground, she’s too busy to have time to date. When she goes to meet the new town doctor, about tutoring his daughter, she realizes they’ve met before under more awkward circumstances.
Readers head back to the small town of Bordeaux for this fun, opposites attract romance. Doctorshipped is the fifth installment in the Getting Shipped! series. This is a closed-door romance but there is still plenty of humorous banter and swoony kisses. While this could be read as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend reading the rest of the series first. Many of the characters from previous books make appearances and are integral to the plot. (The rest of the series is also excellent so you will not be disappointed!)
I love a clumsy meet-cute and this one is delightful. Grant is far from looking for love when he moves to Bordeaux. Most of the single ladies of the town see him as a prize to be had but he finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Jayme. Jayme does her best to ignore her attraction to the handsome doctor but the more time they spend together the stronger their feelings grow. I loved “watching” the relationship grow not only between Grant and Jayme but between Jayme and Fiona. That little girl may be one of my favorite characters in this whole series.
Amy McFadden and Will Damron are back to narrate Doctorshipped. They have done the narration for the whole Getting Shipped! series and still find ways to differentiate all of the characters. They really bring out the grumpy sunshine personas in this one.
I adore this author’s sense of humor. I cackled loudly when Grant’s last name was revealed. Her humor throughout the book is subtle but exceptional. This is my favorite book of the series so far and I can’t wait for book six.
I voluntarily read, listened to, and reviewed advanced copies of this book and audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this audiobook narrated (dual) by Amy McFadden and Will Damron. The voices were great and the pacing was perfect.
This book was a grump/sunshine trope with some boss/employee. Grant the grump is the new doctor in town. He hires Jayme to tutor his adorable dyslexic daughter, Fiona. It throws them together quite a bit until the inevitable happens and they start working towards a relationship. There's love going all over between the three of them. There is also plenty of humor in this book also. Lots of laughs and lots of love with some bumps along the way. Perfection!
Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.

This book was adorable. I loved the main characters and I loved seeing characters from previous books in the series as well.
I love a good grumpy/sunshine trope and this was one of them!
This book had plenty of romance but it was all kept closed door and clean.
I listened to this on audio and I loved the narrators. It’s always more fun when they have a male and a female narrator.
The fictional town of Bordeaux would be so much fun to live in. I have loved getting to know everyone who lives there.

Now this is what a Grumpy/Sunshine trope should look like! I adored Grant and Jayme. They were seriously so cute together and I loved the way the author had them complement each other while also championing the things that made them uniquely them.
Grant and his ADORABLE daughter Fiona have been through a lot. When they move to Bordeaux, Ohio small town life may be just the medicine they were looking for. I love all the side characters throughout this story. It's the kind of book that you want to live inside; great setting, great people.
The kisses were so swoony sweet, but I also love the way Jayme and Grant connected first before moving into a dating setting.
If you like hot doctors, witty humor (totally laughed out loud MULTIPLE times), clean romance that delivers all the feels, grumps that are also cinnamon rolls, and simply an entertaining and upbeat read with a plot twist that pulls a punch, you need this book in your life.
I listened to the audiobook of this story and the narrators did such a fantastic job, I highly recommend the audio version. The dual narrators captured the many different nuances of the MCs and kept me entertained. Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the advance listening copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
