First I'll say, both narrators for the audiobook were fantastic, and I definitely recommend the audiobook format!

It was a cute story, typical rom-com really. But for me, the FMC, Lana, got more and more annoying as the book went on. And I just didn't like how the author made everything Christian's fault, when Lana is the one that was so clueless about everything! Especially in the world where media and advertising is everywhere you look, I'm just not sure it's possible to be so clueless. It seemed like Christian had to mold himself to fit himself into Lana's worldview. Blech. Just a bit cheesy.

I really feel like Lana should have been more devastated at the beginning of the book as well. 10 years is a long time!

I do love that Lana had two fluffy cats though. :)

Such a cute, fun and quick read! I loved the characters dynamics and chemistry. They were so cute together and I found myself cheesing at my kindle while devouring their story!

I’ve never read a book from Camilla but this won’t be the last one I’m reading by her. This was also my first book with the topic of women in STEM. I know, I know.. How could I miss it?! But honestly, I don’t even know myself. But I’ve enjoyed this book since the moment I started to read it. It was obvious how attractive Christian was but I loved Lana’s character. I even felt for her (she’s gone through enough heartache). Even if Christian was attractive, I was still a bit annoyed by his character.

What really pulled me into this story was the story of Lana not knowing who Christian was. It felt like a breath of fresh air for him but also for me as a reader. This gave their relationship a way to naturally develop without faking anything. It was really cute and insta love, but also made me instantly fall in love with the story. It was also obvious that Camilly knows the subject of engineering, which made this story even more fun to read.

The book has around 230 pages on Kindle and is a very quick read. So if you don’t know what to read this summer and you need a cute romance, I would truly recommend this. Book in one hand, a cold refreshing drink in the other and enjoy the sun. But make sure to have sun protection on. Let yourself be swept in the story of Lana and Christian.

This story follows a PhD student, Lana, and an actor, Christian, as they stumble upon each other in a hotel closet. Lana has just found her bf cheating on her and Christian is trying to escape paparazzi. And we have a meet-cute. From there, it really just goes over the next few weeks of their relationship as it develops.

I wish there had been more of Lana's cats and her bff, Winter, in this book. It really focused a lot on the relationship but I didn't really buy the chemistry between the two MCs and I really didn't like either of them. I think both of them are walking red flags. But I did like the cats and Winter. I also liked Penny, Christian's assistant. I think that this book was done a disservice by being pitched for fans of Ali Hazelwood because I expected smutty science and didn't get that. No smut is completely fine but I admit that I was disappointed when it was fade to black/implied. Overall, I don't think this book was for me, but I do think that it would appeal to others and they would enjoy it!

Overall a fun, feel good read that gave Ali Hazelwood vibes. While the book didn't feel new, it gave me what I wanted in a contemporary romance - some giggles, tension, and a whole lotta love (and science).

I just dislike insta love in a romance and this was full of it. I think overall its sweet but not my fave

Loved the cover!
Loved the meet cute!
Loved this potential couple to be!

The STEM angle made sure we had a leading lady who knew a thing or two more than how to dress to impress, and which fork to use. The Hollywood angle gave us the chance to live out any movie star dreams vicariously once the big reveal occurs, while getting to know the man behind the paparazzi pics. The fact that he was able to be an average Joe for awhile was priceless. The chance for her to find her footing after such an upheaval was worth all the closeted tears...or rather tears in the closet while contemplating every mistake and wrong choice made. If you've ever wondered what it would look like if these world's collided, now is your chance, and, if I might add, with mighty fine results!

A great add to your summer of love reading list to while away a sunny day, or pass a rainy afternoon.

3.5/5 stars! Camilla Isley continues to be a good contemporary romance author for a quick read. This book did strike a bit close to home for me as a fan of Ali Hazelwood. Yes; many authors can write nerdy, women in stem type books, but there were some overlaps that felt a bit mimicky. This book felt like the baby of Christina Lauren's "SoulMate Equation" and Ali's "Love on the Brain." I did still really enjoy the book. This author isn't quite a "must read," but overall I've enjoyed the books I've read by her.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

This was a fun STEM romance that plays on the delightful writing style that Family Isley always brings to her books. With banter that build off of an initial mistaken identity, this opposites attract romance will give you smiles and chuckles as Lana, a stereotypically clueless scientist, meets and falling in love with Christan, a movie star of Hemsworth quality.

Thank you NetGalley and Bold wood Press for the ARC I read!

I'll be honest here, I only wanted to read this book because it gave Ali Hazelwood vibes and I adore her STEM stories. And based on that, I have a good time reading The Love Theorem. It had a good dash of science situation and a good dash of romance, which is always a good combination.

I only found out this is part of a series after reading it, so I can say that it works as a stand-alone. Apparently there are cameos from previous characters but I didn't need to know anything before hand to be able to follow the whole story here.

I'd say thanks for my Ali Hazelwood obsession, I have discovered another author that is fun to read and has a good backcatalogue so if I am in need of a fun romance, then I know where to go.

"Emotional and physical distress mingle in the shadows, making it hard to discern what's real from what's imaginary."

What to expect/Triggers:
- Insta-Love
- Dual P.O.V
- Car Crash
- Cheating Trope (but not by main characters)
- Hidden Identity

Lana is an engineering Ph.D. student. Christian is a movie star. The pair meet in an unlikely way within a storage cupboard. Christian is hiding from paparazzi who are currently outside and decides to hide in the cupboard until they die down. This is where he finds a crying Lana, who just discovered her boyfriend and best friend in the hotel together. Lana doesn't watch any tv, so had no idea who Christian was and thought he was just another wanna be actor.

The book was very fun and very cute, I read in just about a day. I was completely glued. it was refreshing to read a romance book without any smut, it was a much needed palate cleanser as I usually read books that are very heavy smut.

I found the insta-attraction/insta-love was too quick. Lana has only just broken up with her long term boyfriend, Yes Christian did wait two weeks to ring, but even if Lana wasn't in love with her ex anymore, they were still together for ten years.

I enjoyed how Lana brought Christian back down to reality and that not everyone needs an expensive handbag, that cost the same amount as someone's wag for a year. I also liked how Christian listened to Lana when she didn't agree or liked how something was going. But then I think in a couple of occasions Christian just needed to speak to Lana and some of the things that happened could have been resolved sooner.

I was also surprised we never got any apologies or had some sort of conversation with Summer. I have yet to read Summer's book so maybe we get one there..

A meet cute between PhD candidate hiding in a storage closet at a hotel after discovering her boyfriend and now ex-best friend getting it on in a room there and a top tier celeb hiding from the paparazzi. As an astrophysicist, she is totally unaware of the stars of the lesser celestial nature. Her total lack of knowing who he was attracted him at first...is it enough though. Cute and sassy. I particularly enjoyed the heroine's, Lana, deep convictions and that she stuck to her guns.

Lana is a scientist who loves her job but when she finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend, she follows them to the hotel where they are meeting. At a loss for what to do, she hides in a closet where she meets Christian Slade. When he realizes she has no clue who he is, he’s thrilled and wants to get to know her more. As they start to get to know each other, Christian starts to realize he’s starting to fall for Lana. When she realizes who he is, things start to change but will they be able to work post that? It’s a fun, entertaining STEM romance.

Movie star Christian Slade seeks refuge from paparazzi at a hotel and stumbles upon Lana, who is distraught after witnessing her boyfriend's infidelity. Lana has no knowledge of Christian's celebrity status, which he finds relieving. Christian comforts Lana and offers her a ride home in his eco-friendly car, leading to an instant connection. Lana gives him her business card with her phone number. When Christian calls Lana, he faces the challenge of concealing his fame and fortune, raising questions about what will happen if she ever discovers his true identity.

The book provided a swift and uncomplicated reading experience, with the story unfolding at a steady pace. The friendship and budding relationship between Lana and Christian felt genuine and lifelike, although I had reservations about his decision to conceal his career and wealth from her. It was enjoyable and featured several instances that elicited genuine laughter and numerous heartwarming moments. This book is an ideal choice for Rom-Com enthusiasts, and the prospect of two more books in the series makes it a worthwhile investment of your time.

Everything happens so quickly. The timeline of the story from start to end just fees too short for some exceptionally clever people to make that kind of a life-changing decision. I think the book could have been a little more filled out with respect to the characters too.

I adore @camillaisley books and this has been one I couldn’t wait to read. It has delivered and is quite possibly my new favourite by this author.

This is fun, charming and filled with moments that will keep you smiling. The characters are just gorgeous and you can’t help but love them from early on.

This is beautifully written and transports you. I love how Christian tried to hide his fame from Lana. I found myself smiling at so many different parts of this book.

Isley is a brilliant author and a must for the TBR. This book is one that completely uplifted my mood. Although, I also loved the insight into celebrity life.

This was perfect to read after a busy day. I have loved the interactions between the characters. I found myself completely invested in their journey.

There is nothing negative I can say about this book. It is brilliant from beginning to end. An absolute must for the TBR.
