Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Mia Sivan

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this book.

This book was not for me. There were parts that were enjoyable, but the flow was choppy. I am disappointed,

Analysing her Assets is a spicy, funny and quirky read and the ‘will they, won’t they’ enemies to lovers’ trope had me hooked. Workplace romances are generally one of my favourite settings however some of the technical aspects of the financial sector in Israel was a little to in depth for my liking, at times had me a bit lost. Nonetheless it was incredibly fascinating to learn about the Israeli culture and I loved how the novel transported me to the sights and sounds of Tel Aviv.

The sparing and the competitive nature of the MC’s Tamar and Gideon’s relationship was extremely entertaining as were the two dogs that featured quite heavily in the plot too.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my ARC.

5 Star Read!!!

Tamar is an investment analyst in competition for senior analyst, she's been working towards this promotion and loves her female boss. Her list of workplace rules served her Mom well, and she follows them as well. One of them is not dating within the workplace. The CEO sends out an email asking if anyone is interested in adopting puppies from his dogs' litter. Tamar sees this as a way to gain favor with him and takes a puppy, who she names Giddy after it pees on her - annoying her like Gideon does. Her family drama spills over into her work decisions and she struggles with the pressure of being the primary wage earner. Her sister is cynical, very anti-relationship and overall unlikeable until the end.

Gideon works at the same investment house but has a past and is up for the same promotion. He's only worked there for a year but is the "Golden Boy". He also adopts a puppy because he loves dogs. His family has different drama - he's the only son of a successful CEO set to inherit the company. His mom writes books, most recently a werewolf erotica that he is the first reader for. His father has secrets of his own and they have driven a wedge between him and his son.

Tamar and Gideon bond over having to take care of puppies, living close to each other and feeling a mutual attraction. I loved this relationship, from forbidden, to loving and supportive. They face challenges at work, and eventually work through them and their issues with trust.

Set in Tel Aviv!

This was a slow burn for me. I loved that the main Character was Plus sized and the location was not the typical New York (Tel Aviv!) The dogs were a fun addition to the story and Gideon was adorable. The love angle between them seemed a bit forced at times and the sister was pretty unbearable.

Very spicy read. Loved that the main femal character is plus size. Hated the character that tries to manipulate others for his advantage. There was a big event at the end, but we didn’t get to see the “evil person” gave their reach. Would have loved that.

Tamar and Gideon’s story was a spicy enemies-to-lovers romance. I felt this book offered a different perspective than the books I often read. Will read more by this author.

The plot definitely didn't go the way I expected it to! A pleasant little surprise 🙃. Overall I enjoyed it, the plot was a little flat but the spice was definitely spicy!

A very good book with both main characters having totally different personalities and each one was also dealing with family issues as well. Tamar and Gideon work at the same financial institution and then later are both up for the same promotion. Tamar has a list of rules she follows but then breaks one of her rules when she takes a puppy from the man who will be one of the men making the decision. The dog not only helps her but also gets her closer to Gideon as well. There is a lot going on in this story but it was good seeing the growth in Tamar along with how she dealt with the problem at work when she was being set up. Gideon had his own troubles mainly with his father and to see both of these characters work through these was good. I really enjoyed this story and all of the characters.

I absolutely LOVE an enemies to lovers trope and this was excellently executed. Since the pacing was quite fast, I felt myself hanging on to every word and finding myself unable to stop reading! Incredible story.

A fun and fast paced read, enemies to lovers. A great story, and I felt I learned about another culture too. Looking forward to more books from this author.

Last week I started reading four romance novels, and Analysing Her Assets was my favorite. It is a rivals-to-lovers romance, but not the kind in which the characters act like kids and prank each other and it isn't even clear why they don't like each other in the first place. Tamar and Gideon both work at the same company and they are competing, both for a montly bonus and for a position in management. I could explain what their actual jobs are if I understood anything about how the adult world works.

Now, of course we know that they're going to develop feelings towards each other and they are going to end up together, right? That's what happens in romance and that's what we're all here for anyway. The thing is, this novel was so much more than that, and to me it was great, but I understand how more...basic readers might not find it as enjoyable as other, more formulaic and "safe" books out there.

The first thing I loved about this novel is that it is set in Israel, which means that the characters are more direct, and let me just straight-up say it, less stupid than American ones. Maybe this also happened because both Tamar and Gideon were nearing their mid-thirties, so they were way more mature and they behaved like adults are supposed to behave. In instances where there could be potential miscommunication, it was quickly solved by the characters actually talking to each other, which was refreshing. Because of this, they established pretty early on that they were attracted to each other, and they were upfront about what they wanted with each other, which leads me to my second point.

Tamar is the one who suggests a sexual relationship with Gideon. I loved her as a character because I can see aspects of myself in her. She is sex-positive, driven, and she knows what she wants and how to get it. That is not something readers are used to see, even in 2023, which is why Tamar can pass as being "unlikable." This reminds me of Roxane Gay's article on the topic, which you should totally read. I think the explicit sex scenes might also be a reason for some readers not to like this book, which is understandable. Even though I wouldn't consider this to be erotic literature, there are several explicit scenes. They were very well executed, in my opinion, but if you're not looking for that in your romance, then this isn't the book for you.

Another thing that made me like this book but might make other readers dislike it is the fact that both Tamar and Gideon had their own lives and their own stuff going on. In many romance novels, the plot is so centered in the love story that it feels like the characters don't have anything else going for them other than this relationship they're pursuing. This is definitely a romance, but there are also other subplots going on that add to the story and make it more believable. I really enjoyed reading this book and I will be looking out for other titles by this author.

I LOVED THIS! The workplace rivals to lovers was done SO well! I loved the romance, the tension and the banter. But this also had a deeper connection of each character and I really enjoyed getting to know them and know why they were the way they were. Some romances can be surface level but this wasn't and I loved that. The spice was also wonderful! Highly recommend!!

When I read the synopsis for this book that mentioned workplace romance, rivals to lovers romance, I was immediately interested in this story! Something about a workplace romance while simultaneously being rivals is always a fun and interesting dynamic so I was quite curious to see what would happen between them and how their relationship would develop. And at some point the more I read, the more I got into the story and enjoyed it. I really loved the way Tamar and Gideon were not only having fun together, but exploring one another and creating their path. Overall, this is a great story filled with a strong female lead, supportive friend group and a charming / great male lead. There was a good mix of spice, humor, and romance and the rivals to lovers trope was good as well… also the dogs? They have my heart ❤️

This book is spicy!
All parts of this book were well written and you cheered for Tamar and Gideon. The addition of the dogs was really cute. The family drama for both added to their bond. I was happy to see Tamar stick up for yourself

There were parts of this book I enjoyed, such as the discussion of finance and the real depiction of getting a new puppy. But overall, the plot was a bit choppy, and although the spice was fairly steamy, the chemistry between the characters didn’t feel genuine. For those reasons, I don’t really feel like this book was for me.

"Analysing Her Assets" is a light and steamy read that will appeal to readers looking for a quick and entertaining romantic novel. While it has its moments, it doesn't quite live up to its potential. Therefore, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

I wish I had better things to say about this book; to be completely honest, I came very close to DNF. Both of the main characters, Gideon and Tamar, were not very likeable - although, their dogs...super fun. The book felt much longer than it needed to be, and the physical encounters between them felt bland - almost like they wanted to dabble in Dom/Sub roleplay, but without calling it that. The reader never really gets to see their relationship grow outside of those encounters and some revelations about their families, but suddenly they are in love and moving in together.

Other things that bothered me included the fact that neither Gideon nor his father ever tell his mother about the affair. She has a right to know, and I think keeping that a secret is more harmful than letting it come into the light. I kept waiting for Tamar to come into her own, to stand up for herself - both at work and with her family. We saw Gideon have some pretty major growth, but Tamar's growth felt lackluster. Having never worked in investments/finance of any kind and never having even been to Israel, I think there are some things mentioned that could have maybe been explained better or that I would have better understood if I was more familiar with either thing mentioned above.

All in all - this one just fell flat for me. I was hoping for more.

Thank you to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Enemies to lovers will never get old! Tamar and Gideon work at one of the top investment houses in Israel and are both vying for the same promotion. While I am not in the financial world, I did appreciate the author’s depth of knowledge on the topic and I think it enhanced the plot and gave a uniqueness to the story. I also loved the dual POV as I thought it added to character development by hearing multiple perspectives.

By the end, I loved the characters, their families (even with their flaws), and not to forget - the cute puppies!
