I'm not sure why I didn't review this book when I originally read it. I loved this book. Jacob's story is different and not like anything I've read before. I've recommended it to students and adults many times since then.

I did not have a chance to read this book, but it is effecting my feedback rating. I am giving books 5 stars that I haven't read to improve my feedback rating. I am not recommending the book for my classroom or students since I have not read the book. There needs to be a better system of leaving feedback for books not read.

A surprising find that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The main character is hugely appealing and I could see him in a series as planned. The theme of the genie granting wishes might seem incredulous, but it works on a number of levels. I found Jacob's unfolding history fascinating and enjoyed the gradual integration of the strands; clever and well paced. Overall a good read.
