Mac Almeida is ready for the bike parade to kick off spring in Cape Cod. Planned to kick off the season that brings people to the Cape and businesses, there are a few business owners who are not happy with the new head of the chamber of commerce, as he wants everyone to give away free items to attract business, which comes after their slowest period of the year.
With the bike parade being a success, it’s a shock to the town to find the new business commerce leader is found dead in the bookstore. Was it truly an accident or did one of the many people the man rubbed the wrong way have it in for him? That’s exactly what the book club intends to find out when they start looking into the man and their suspects.
A book from Maddie Day NEVER disappoints. She has a keen talent with words and always brings together a cast of characters that support the protagonist and bring the books to life. Full of red herrings, suspects and characters that feel more like friends, you’ll find it hard to put her books down until you turn the last page.

“Mac” Almeida had a high-powered employment history but now owns a bicycle rent/repair shop, lived in a Tiny House, has a father who is a minister, a mother who is an astrologer, has a verbose African Grey parrot, a baker for a recent bridegroom, and is essential to the Cozy Capers Book Group.
Great characters and town, vivid descriptions, interesting suspects, and a fast moving plot. Another winner in a solid series.
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Another cozy mystery by Maddie Day - the book club series continues. A festival is going on and everyone seems to be in conflict with the new chamber of commerce director Wagner.
Before long Wagner turns up dead and it is up to my favorite characters to solve the crime that has so many suspects.

I absolutely love Maddie Day and book 5 in the Cozy Capers Book Group Mystery series did not disappoint. Great cozy mystery!

There is a body under the bookshelves in the bookstore. Chaos ensues. This talented author has written a cannot put down novel that moves quickly. The characters are likable and quirky. The bookstore becomes a character. Red herrings kept me guessing. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and author. Curl up in a cozy chair with a comfy blanket and try to discern the ending of this whodunit.

This was so cozy and just what I needed. This is my first book in this series and by this author, but the story was easy to slip into. I’ll definitely be picking up the rest of these books and I can’t wait.

Mac Almeida has her hands full owning and running her bicycle shop on Cape Cod.
Mac and her husband Tim are newlyweds and are enjoying their lives, even if they are both busy with work.
When a random death occurs in the local bookstore, everyone is voicing their opinions on who could have committed the crime.
The suspect list is long, and even though Mac hates the thought that one of their own could be a murderer, she faces the facts and begins asking questions.
I enjoy this series as someone who lived on Cape Cod for a few years and also was born and raised in Fall River, MA.
It's always fun to see a place I'm familiar with in a book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Kindle Copy for Review from Net Galley and Kensington Books.
I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Having a Spring Equinox festival in March turns in a deadly event.
The new chamber of commerce is found dead under a pile of books from a toppled shelf. It would be one pile of mess to clean up as Mac and her book group will have to solve.
A fast paced whodunnit that will keep you engage.

Murder at a Cape Bookstore by Maddie Day is a great cozy mystery that is the fifth book in the Cozy Capers Book Group Mystery.
I think this is such a cute series set in picturesque Cape Cod. Mac is yet again involved in solving a local murder/mystery during the town’s Spring Equinox activities.
There were plenty of suspects to weed through by Mac and the book club, the pacing kept me on my toes, and I devoured this book in two days.
I have enjoyed everything that Maddie Day has written and this new addition is no exception.
If you like this, check out her awesome Country Store Mysteries (I’ve read every one!), and her new CeCe Barton series.
