If you are looking for a great beach read, look no further! I am a fan of Jenny Hale's books and I love this new story.

From the gorgeous cover to the phenomenal characters to a plot that sucks you in on the first page, the beautiful North Carolina setting this is what summer reading is all about.

I absolutely adored this lovely bunch of characters, all so well lined out, all of them adding a spark to the story.
Lauren is a very relatable character and she goes through a real and raw journey in this book, learning to trust again and not building too many walls around herself. Jenny Hale managed to include it in the story in a great and exciting way.
The Magic of Sea Glass is one of those books you can easily fall into and binge your way to the finish without looking up

It’s full of emotions, beautiful descriptions, budding friendships, true authentic characters, love, romance and so much more.
This book is all I needed to feel the romance of summer.
I promise you won't be disappointed by Jenny's writing.

Mrs. Hale, Thank You for creating characters who are real, who go through these tough relatable situations and for a beautiful story I couldn't get enough of.

The Magic of Sea Glass was a warm, contemporary, chick lit, romance novel.
It's the perfect summer setting, summer time read about second chances at love and life after death. Hale creates warm, loving, tender, sharp characters and gives each one such depth it was hard to not want to be part of their circle of friends. I couldnt stop listening to this book. The narrator was good. The storyline and plot were solid and something I wanted to devour.

I would recommend this to anyone.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me a chance for the ARC.

I have always loved going to the beach and looking for mermaid tears (sea glass). I was drawn to this book because of the sea glass connection. It was a cute, fun and fast read that had a few simple twists. It kept me entertained. This book had lots of emotion in it and left me wanting to read more from the author.

What a fun beach read. A bit sad at times but overall, a great book. Lots of emotions in this book from love to loss, happiness to sadness, moving on to starting over, second chances, and everything in between. I liked the Sea glass connection in the book. The audiobook was great.
Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for an early opportunity to listen to this book for my honest review.

This book was a beautifully written cozy beach read. A story of love and loss, heartache and hope, missed opportunities and second chances. I enjoyed how the two timelines were woven together leading to a heartwarming reveal at the end. The narrator of the audio version did an excellent job.

“Life is that seaglass. Broken, jagged pieces left to the elements and yet in the turbulence of the storms are made beautiful. “

After the loss of her fiancé a year ago, event planner Lauren Sutton can’t seem to go on with her choice of career or the life she’d built with her fiancé any longer. Floundering emotionally, she makes a snap decision to sell her half of the business and spend the summer among the sand dunes and changing tides of the Outer Banks, taking care of an old inn in Rodanthe, North Carolina with its elderly owner Mary Everett. Perhaps the salty breezes of the Atlantic and the warmth of summer sun on her face will help her find her direction. What she doesn’t expect to find is a story hidden away in a string of sea glass that will change her life forever.

This is such a heart warming story of self discovery after the loss of a loved one. Throughout the book, a seaglass bracelet is the bind that ties families together. One of my most comforting hobbies is to search for seaglass (photo credit to me as it’s one of my fvorites that I’ve taken and have hanging in my house.) It brings such a sense of calming, whether while letting your mind wander during the hunt or merely looking at the beautiful pieces saved in a jar. I loved all the mentions and ties to seaglass throughout the book! The premise of the story had me hooked from the start. It’s a quick, feel good summer read!

The story is about a women name Lauren who has just uplifted her life as a wedding planner to work in a Inn in the Outerbanks to get over the sadness of the loss of her beloved fiance. It's a story of loss, hope and friendship we never new we needed. The characters learn to use the magic of sea glass to help with bringing lucky to their lives and they discover the connection it has to ultimately bringing everyone together. Emma Love narration brings the perfect amount of emotion to the story and once I started I couldn't stop listening. I love the flow of the narrative. It is perfectly paced and keep you wanting to know what will happen to each of the characters.I'm also enjoyed the intertwined story from the past and the overall connections formed between all the characters. Thank you @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook. This was a beautiful book about dealing with grief and staring over. I liked the setting of a failing BnB, a sweet owner and great small town. I liked how Hale incorporated sea glass as part of the story. I liked how Brody helped Lauren deal with her grief as well as helping her start over. The narration was great with the various voices in the story and brought the characters to life.

I read The Christmas Letters by Jenny Hale back in Dec and loved it so much, so I was super excited when the author asked me if I was interested in reading The Magic of Sea Glass. I love her writing style; and this book was everything I hoped it would be!! I was super excited when I got approved for the audiobook as well, the story really came to life through the effortless narration of Emma Love.

• This is the perfect book for your summer beach vacation because it takes place in the Outer Banks off the coast of North Carolina.

• In this heartwarming story, we meet Lauran Sutton, a wedding planner who loses her fiancé in a fatal car accident that turned her entire life upside down. Lauren and Mason had so many dreams and Lauren can’t deal with his loss, so she sells her half of the wedding planning business to her partner and moves to the Outer Banks taking a job as an innkeeper’s assistant at the Seaside Inn owned by a sweet elderly lady that soon becomes Lauran’s friend and confidant. And so, Lauren’s healing journey begins.

• Lauren is gifted a piece of sea glass by the owner of the Seaside Inn…..will it be magic like the title eludes?

• You immediately fall in love with Lauren and all the side characters in this close-knit coastal town. The town’s people all look out for each other which was a breath of fresh air (I live in the city). They all seem more like family than just friends.

• Lauren wasn’t expecting to find a love interest so soon after losing her husband Mason, however Brody, a local fisherman slowly found his way into her heart. I loved everything about Brody and he is my new favorite book boyfriend!

• Hale writes such easy-going characters that I actually felt myself relaxing as I read the book. It was better than any therapy session I’ve paid good money for!!

• Read this if you like second-chance romances, emotional trauma/healing, beaches, weddings, sea glass and found family.

• Emma Love was the perfect narrator for this story. She played all the characters easily and it was very easy to distinguish between them. I both read and listened to this book and found myself going back and listening to chapters I had already read because I enjoyed the narration so much!!

Jenny Hale is now an auto-buy author for me. Grab this one and get ready to escape to the beach!!

A cute story of overcoming grief. This one was another that I was a little skeptical of because I thought it’d be kind of depressing. Yes, there were sad parts but it also had a lot of happy and a lot with Lauren finding herself and really facing her grief. A lot of people try to sweep grief under the rug but Lauren had to face it head on and then overcome it too.

🌀Synopsis
Atoll grief stricken from the loss of her fiancé, Lauren needs a change of pace. She sells her wedding planning business to take a part time job at a seaside town and get away.
She finds more than she’s looking for when she meets fisherman Brody, who confuses her but also helps her through her grief. She ends up doing one last wedding for a local couple and it pushes all of her limits. Somewhere along the way that small town turns to family and within that family she finds a story that will impact her forever.
Around the same time, her mom finds out she was adopted. The bride for the wedding looks shockingly like Lauren. An old man in the hospital calls her by her mother’s name. There is a secret in the sea glass bracelet she’s wearing and Lauren is about to find out just how much these strangers really are her family.

Grab a box of tissues because you are going to need them. I love Jenny Hale's books but this one will melt your heart. If you ever wondered about an afterlife, this one will make you hope that it's real. Little signs magically show up in this book to prove to the characters that their loved ones are still with them. I will be so much more observant for the little signs after reading this treasured book. Jenny Hale is truly a gifted writer. Narration by Emma Love was perfect. Perfection!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book, narrated by Emma Love. This was a cute, summer romance set on the beach in North Carolina. The story goes back and forth between the present and the past with the two timelines intersecting. When listening to the audiobook it can sometimes be confusing going back and forth between the two timelines, but I usually caught on pretty quickly. This was a well written book with great, in depth characters that I enjoyed. It was my first Jenny Hale book, but definitely not my last. Emma Love did a great job narrating the book and I enjoyed listening to her.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book in advance of publication.

After a long emotional ride, I was looking for a lite but good book. This breezy cover felt just like it.

A tale about dealing with human loss, new beginnings and healing from trauma - all conveyed in a sweet romantic tale set on the proximities of the Wedding industry. When I requested this book I had little to no clue how pure romance this would be.

Even when the book was dealing with sensitive topics, it conveyed them in soft blows which I am kinda thankful for! You may guess the direction in which the story is headed and it's not exactly unpredictable, but m sure once in a while, we all crave such light reads to unshed the loads and just go with the flow.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to listen to early audio copy in exchange for my honest review. 4.5 Stars - The Magic of Sea Glass was everything that I had hoped it would be. As someone who loves the ocean and sea glass, I knew I would be pulled into the story and Jenny Hale does not disappoint in her writing. Sea glass is truly magically in that it starts from a discarded glass bottle and is transformed by the sea to become a beautiful piece of art. Jenny took this small piece of beauty and wove it throughout the lives of several people who all needed a bit of magic to help them through a period of loss or grief. Friendships are strengthened and some friends become family in ways that you may not see coming.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration by Emma Love. Her voice is natural for storytelling and made it easy to finish this book in a few days.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for sending this ARC for my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Magic of Sea Glass will be available for purchase on May 9, 2023.

The Magic of Sea Glass by Jenny Hale
Contemporary fiction with a touch of romance. Women’s fiction. Multiple time lines.
A sea glass bracelet brings long lost family together and helps a woman grieve and accept loss.

🎧 the audiobook is narrated by Emma Love. The performance is wonderful and modulation follows the storyline with joy and grief, friendships and family. There are distinct voices for Lauren and Brody and a few secondary characters. Her tones were soothing and warm.
For the audio version, you must pay attention to chapter changes to clearly follow the back and forth time lines and character changes.
I listened to this at 1.5 which is my standard for the best conversational speed.

From the grief of loss, to the joy of planning a wedding, to business choices and family complications, from babies to grandparents, this story covers the full range of emotions.
Cheerful and lovable in whole.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review This book is not one of my favorites of Jenny Hale as I liked the back story more than I liked the main story. Due to the liking of the back story so much I will give it 4 stars.

Thank you, Net Galley, for an audio ARC of The Magic Of Sea Glass by Jenny Hale. This book is heart-warming. The main chats leaves her life as she knows it, career, home and fiance. And make a whole new start. Then she meets a fisherman....

Lauren, a wedding planner with a reality TV show, gives everything up and moves to the Outerbanks after the death of her fiancé. In North Carolina, she meets people who help her move past her grief.

This was a bit too sweet and Hallmark movie-ish for my tastes. I recognize that I am going to be an outlier here, and if the Hallmark channel is your thing, then you will love this.

I will say it got better as it went on. Though it was quite predictable <spoiler> I figured out early on who Lauren and Brody were in relation to the bracelet.) </spoiler>

The audiobook is narrated by Emma Love. I think it was the book, not the narrator, but the narration added to the whole too-sweet feel.

I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.
