This was a lovely story of a wedding planner Lauren who can't enjoy her job anymore after her fiance dies in a tragic accident. So she sells her share of the wedding business, and takes a job at an Inn on the Outer Banks, a place her fiancee once wanted to visit. There she finds supportive friends, and some magic sea glass that enables her to face her grief.
This book has charming characters, a beautiful location and a wonderful story that keeps you enthralled. I really enjoyed this one.
Thank you to netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the Advanced Listener Copy. The narrator Emma Love did a wonderful job.

There’s so much to love about Jenny Hale’s newest story. The first of which is the location, which just happens to be my favorite place in the USA, the Outer Banks. Then there’s the great characters and connections, deep storylines and lots of entertainment.
Lauren is the owner of a successful wedding planning business with her best friend. Then one unfortunate night, tragedy strikes and Lauren loses her husband in an accident and it changes Lauren’s perspective on how she wants to go forward with her life, and she decides to sell her half of the business to her partner Andy and take a job as an innkeeper’s assistant on the Outer Banks. When her boss, Mary, gives her a sea glass bracelet as a welcoming gift, Lauren wonders if this might just be the sign that this might be the reset she needs. Then she meets hunky handyman Brody and her heart feels things she hasn’t felt in a long time, but she still can’t help thinking about her husband.
As the story progresses, there are flashbacks to the 1950s and at first I wondered how the two timelines were going to mesh together, but then there were plenty of moments that included sea glass to thread them together beautifully.
Read this if you enjoy beach settings, deep family drama, second chance love, found family, love and loss. This will leave you warm and fuzzy in the end.
Thanks to Harpeth Road Press and NetGalley for this audiobook arc in exchange for my review.
