OH MY GOD I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. I don't watch a lot of reality TV except for Survivor and the Amazing Race, but when you give me reality TV or dating shows in books? I cannot get enough, it's like my catnip. Emily being the new hit star of a reality dating show and the man who broke her heart is the producer? OH LAWD. This was funny, angsty (as most second chance romances are), but also sweet and full of feels. And Kay Marie's writing is fabulous! I cannot wait to see what else she comes out with next!

I absolutely loved this super cute, funny rom com!
Emily and Jake had such good chemistry and connection, with tons of banter as she navigates trying to avoid falling for him all over again as she navigates The Love Match.
But beneath all the light heartedness, there was much deeper meaning to the book and both characters go on such a journey. When I learned the truth behind what kept them apart I really felt for them both.
Overall, I would recommend The Love Rematch to anyone who loves a romcom read with great characters!

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.
One thing I adore is second chance romances and this book was a top tier second chance romance book… and it even had dual POVs which I also love. So this book definitely scored a lot of brownie points.
This book is a great rom-com, that had me giggling from the start when her mum, on live TV, announced that Emily needs a man! ‘The Love Rematch’ is very witty and is filled with lots of chemistry and tension. It had the right balance of humour, heart, and vulnerability. I like the reality TV show aspect of this book, and that our lead girl, Emily, and the producer, Jake, are exes. The forced proximity makes them confront their past and makes it hard for them to deny the chemistry that they still have after all this time.
My reasoning for only giving it 4 stars is that it was a little bit cringey at times and I’m not the biggest fan of miscommunication. But overall, it’s a great romance book that has some deeper, more emotional and vulnerable levels to it, and an entertaining plot that keeps you hooked from beginning to end.

Give me all the fun romance stories! this book did not disappoint. Thank you for this gifted copy in exchange for a fair review.

I absolutely loved this book! The plot is delightful, with twists and turns that keep you hooked. What I loved most were the cleverly incorporated book tropes – they added an extra layer of charm to the story, making it an enjoyable read from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a good laugh and a dose of romantic excitement

This book was giving the hating vibes from the cover to the reviews! This book was so fun! It reminded me of Kaitlyn Hill's Not Here to Be Friends. The energy was the same and it was a fun read just like it!

THE STORY IS SO GOOD AND WILL KEEP YOU HOOKED FROM BEGINNING TO END.

I loved this book! It was cute and sweet, and The Bachelor-esque setting was fun to read. It was a little heavy on the miscommunication trope, but that didn’t take from my enjoyment too much. Would definitely recommend!

As someone who isn't a huge fan of second-chance lovers or the miscommunication trope... I didn't have high hopes for this book, but I really enjoyed it for what it was. I loved the spin on the Bachelorette and reading about reality TV. When Emily's mom, out of the blue, asks the world to help her daughter find a boyfriend, Emily becomes the next star of The Love Match, a reality TV show. During the show, Emily dates thirty male contestants while reconnecting with her ex, Jake, who is the show's producer (JUICY).
This book is filled with drama, chemistry, humor, and spice, and I would recommend it to anyone needing to get their fill of reality TV in between seasons (even if you aren't a huge second chance lover/ miscommunication trope person like myself.

This book is the definition of swoon right there. I love a book where the main couple is so obviously better together, not just because they’re in love, but because they support each other in the unique ways they each need it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
So the synopsis starts with - She’s the new lead of a hit dating show. He’s the producer. And seven years ago, they were in love. Let the games begin…
Emily wakes up one morning to find her mum on the morning news begging for her to be picked to go on a dating show. Much to Emilys dismay she is picked and finds out the shows producer is non other than her one that got away, Jake. Her ex boyfriend, who broke her heart 7 years ago.
I really wanted to love this book, there were parts that were really funny in a romcom way, and being a fan of the original TV show the Bachelorette I already knew the concept. But sadly it just didn't do it for me. I just could not connect with the characters and found myself wanting to bang their heads together most of the time out of frustration. How can you have a second chance at romance if you daren't ask what went wrong 7 years ago and why he walked out and just didn't come back. That's the first thing I would be asking. By the time we got to the reasoning, and they started to talk everything through I had lost interest.
The writing is great and some of the book is very funny. I would definitely read books by the author again with different characters.

This is a lovely, heartfelt, and entertaining rom com! I loved the concept. The Bachelor-style reality show with a twist was so fun and unique. The Love Rematch was an angsty second chance romance filled with tension and chemistry. I was hooked from the moment I read the description of this book! A love story about the lead star of a reality show who still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend... WHO IS THE PRODUCER OF THE SHOW!? Um... yes please! If you love romantic reality shows, you will LOVE this book. It's entertaining and fun while also dealing with deep topics and having great character development.
Things I Loved:
- Second chance
- Angsty
- Reality show
- Dual POV
- Revenge
Thank you to NetGalley and Kay Marie for the ARC!

The Love Rematch is a rom com featuring a Bachelorette type setting but the twist is that the man who broke her heart is one of the producers. The story was good and entertaining but I ended up just really liking the writing. It was engaging without being too out there, it struck the right balance of humor, heart and backstory. The ending was a twist i didnt see coming and maybe was a little rushed, but I just really enjoyed this one.

Emily Peters is happy with her life, working at her parent’s florist and developing her own jewelry line, until her mother goes on national TV trying to find her a boyfriend. Suddenly, her life is turned upside down as she’s named the latest contestant on The Love Match, a show that matches a bachelorette with a guy from a group of bachelors.
There once was a guy, named Jake, but he broke her heart. Now Emily is shocked to find Jake is one of her new producers. He’s the wrangler for the single guys and is instrumental in finding the perfect guy for her.
What Emily doesn’t realize is that Jake has never gotten over her. How can he set her up with another guy when he wants her for himself?
This is an entertaining enemies to lovers, second chance romance, 4 stars.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

This was such a good romance novel! I read it so quick and I thought there were some funny moments throughout. I don't catch myself laughing at books very often but this one did it! I recommended this book to some of my friends who are big into romance and they also loved it (I am writing this review late so they actually bought the book woohoo!) Thanks Kay Marie and NetGalley for the free arc in exchange for an honest review.

It was so fun reading this book! Such an enjoyable and cute story! Beautifully written stories about second chance romance, with sparks of romantic comedy and entertainment industry.

This book was okay. Although, in all fairness, reality tv romance is not my favourite subgenre, so it makes sense that I didn't love this one.
The Love Rematch follows Emily and Jake, two exes who end up working on the same dating show. Emily as the star, forced into joining the show by her meddling mother, and Jake behind the scenes, finally being given the opportunity to work as a producer. As you can imagine, the forced proximity of working together demands that our two main characters confront a past that they'd rather leave behind.
While I thought there were some cute moments between Jake and Emily, the miscommunication was too much for me to handle! I'm also not a fan of watching one of the leads make out with a bunch of other people while the supposed love of her life watches on.
This book just wasn't for me, but if you're a fan of the reality tv setting and all the drama that comes with it, then maybe you'll enjoy this book.
2.5 stars

Give this book a 3.5/5!
It was a funny and easy read, I read it in one day at the beach.
It had some good things, it really mimicked reality at times, and then I found some tropes really annoying at other points as well.
The plot twist at the end was unexpected, I thought something else was gonna happen, and then the laaaast plot twist was mind-blowing.
Overall, I enjoyed it, it wasn't my favorite book, but I would read a sequel if there ever was one.
Note: received a free ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

I wanted to love this one because the cover is just adorable, but I could not get into it! I haven't completely taken it off my TBR because I think it was just a case of bad timing, but for now it's a DNF.

Such a great read full of heart and love. Take the time to read it, I wasn’t sure at first and it took me time to get into it but I loved it!. I can’t wait for Sam and Coopers story next!!!!!!
