The summer re got me when they said Taylor and Greg would be stuck on an island during a hurricane I love when people are stranded and forced to be together I thought this would be a great book and although I enjoyed it I really thought they were idiots to be going off in a boat when everyone else was heading the other way having said that as far as the dialogue and LOL moments go it is so worth reading I wouldn’t say this is a five star book but definitely a solid four star. I like Taylor and Greg even though Greg was a pretty boy there was something very likable about him. I received this book from NetGalley and a publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

I read the first chapter and thought - ugh, is the whole book going to be like this? If so, I wasn't going to be able to finish it. Thankfully, the first chapter wasn't a good representation of the book. The first chapter should have been a prologue because the second chapter picks up the story prior to chapter one and then the book takes us to then events of chapter one and beyond. I really only read to see how Taylor and Greg got together. They were both in long time relationships that had to end before they became a couple. I didn't care for the need to tell the reader what Taylor and Greg were wearing - who cares? The story itself was okay, the storytelling wasn't my favorite.

Whilst Taylor and Greg both seem to have their own lives with their respective partners, they find themselves forced to confront their feelings when they begin working together. As architects working together on a ultra-green, luxury resort off the Atlantic coast, they face a variety of setbacks. Not only do they find themselves stranded on an island during a hurricane, but they begin to share similar dreams.
The paranormal element gave this storyline, a unique twist, with their feelings becoming more evident through their dream sequences. I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed, and how they dealt with their feelings knowing the impact this might have on their partners. Whilst slow to begin, the pace and dialogue kept me thoroughly engaged.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
