A cozy, festive romance full of charm, humor, and holiday spirit. 🎄❄️ Jaqueline Snowe delivers a sweet, feel-good story with lovable characters and plenty of seasonal magic. Perfect for curling up with during the holidays!

If Hallmark movies had a spicy older sister, this would be her. This story is the ultimate cozy-up read: hot cocoa, forced proximity, a grumpy/sunshine dynamic, and enough snowy charm to have you reaching for your fluffiest blanket.
Becca Fairfield is a lovable sorority mom just trying to enjoy her well-earned holiday break—with a towering TBR and dreams of solo serenity—until a blizzard (and a power outage) forces her next door… right into the broody arms of her longtime crush, Harrison. Cue the banter, the awkward grilled cheese moments, the deep convos by candlelight, and yes, the sizzling tension that could melt the icicles off your roof.
Becca’s sweet, nurturing, and delightfully quirky. Harrison? Misunderstood, guarded, and giving peak “grumpy golden retriever energy.” Together? Total snowstorm magic.
It’s funny, flirty, heartwarming, and yes, a little cheesy at the end—but honestly, what holiday romance isn’t? If you love character-driven rom-coms with humor, heat, and heart, add this one to your holiday TBR

This was a fun light hearted holiday read. It was predictable but the characters made it fun. I would definitely recommend it.

Becca is a sorority house mom who lives next door to the grumpy football coach, Harrison, who ghosted her after they went on a single date two years ago. During winter break, Becca is alone in the house when a huge blizzard wipes out her power. Becca is highly unprepared for the winter weather, so she is relieved when Harrison invites her to stay at his house until the power is restored. Sparks fly when the two are forced to finally confront their past and wait out the winter weather together.
Overall, this was a cute and cozy holiday read. I really liked the use of the forced proximity trope and that Becca was a uniquely relatable and imperfect FMC, which is often difficult to find in romance novels. This novel started out strong for me, but I quickly got frustrated with the recurring miscommunication leading to lots of conflict between the characters. Overall, this was a quick winter read that would be great for anyone looking for a spicy holiday story!
2.5 stars, rounded up
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

This was okay. I couldn’t really connect with either character, so I didn’t love it.
Thank you to the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dang! This was not was I expecting and I loved every minute of it! Dual POV, runaway bride, fake dating, friends to lovers, and a small town setting, hit all the check boxes. Loved reading this around the holidays. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to love this and was looking for a cute holiday romance but I found this to be pretty underdeveloped. It was just too cringey at times and felt super forced. I do think there's a lot of potential in the story and hope the author's next book is better for me!

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. The characters felt awkward and forced and the romance was uncomfortable. 3 stars because I couldn't finish it. It may have gotten better at the end, but unfortunately I just couldn't convince myself to pick up the book and read it.

It takes a special book to get you in the holiday mood when reading it in March but this book did it! A fun, opposites attract, forced proximity snowed in romance between an upbeat Sorority Mom and grumpy football coach, this book brings all the cozy vibes, romance and spice you need!

Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is the perfect holiday rom-com! With sizzling tension, witty banter, and the classic grumpy-sunshine charm, this book had me hooked from the start. Becca’s relentless optimism is the perfect foil to Harrison’s gruff demeanor, and their forced proximity creates so many laugh-out-loud moments. Becca’s bright and colorful personality, along with her love of hot chocolate, adds so much warmth and charm to the story. Harrison may be grumpy, but his connection with Becca is undeniable, and watching them navigate their feelings against the backdrop of the holiday season made for such a fun read. The chemistry between them was instant, and while the tension was undeniable, their playful banter kept things lighthearted and full of laughs. The moments they shared were touching, and of course, the spice added some extra heat to the romance! This book would make the perfect Hallmark Holiday Movie (minus the spicy moments, of course). If you love a Christmas romance with humor, heart, and sizzling chemistry, Snowed In for Christmas is a must-read!

What a cute rom-com. It’s hard to make a holiday romance really stand out but I enjoyed this one and the characters. I love myself a good bookworm FMC.

It was a good rom-com. I laughed a bit. I enjoyed the story and the characters.
I do recommend

Becca Fairfield had one plan for the holidays: a solo Christmas, a stack of books, and a firm do not disturb policy. What she didn’t pencil in? A record-breaking blizzard, a power outage, and getting snowed in with the one person she’s been actively avoiding—her broody, football-coach neighbor, Harrison Cooper. After a steamy kiss two years ago and a spectacular ghosting, their dynamic is frostier than the weather outside. But when circumstances force them into close quarters, sparks start flying, and Becca realizes that maybe, just maybe, there’s more to Harrison than his scowl and a well-timed exit strategy.
Jaqueline Snowe serves up a holiday rom-com full of sizzling tension, witty banter, and the classic grumpy-sunshine charm. Becca’s relentless optimism is the perfect foil to Harrison’s gruff demeanor, and their forced proximity creates plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and slow-burn chemistry. That said, the plot leans hard on the miscommunication trope—sometimes frustratingly so—and the resolution ties up with a bit too much holiday magic to feel completely earned. But if you love a cozy, snowy setting and a romance that’s equal parts sweet and snarky, this one delivers.
At 3.5 out of 5 stars, "Snowed In for Christmas" is the literary equivalent of a Hallmark movie with just enough spice to keep things interesting. It’s fun, it’s flirty, and it’s best enjoyed with a warm blanket and a cup of cocoa—preferably while side-eyeing your own grumpy neighbor for potential main-character energy.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy! I just couldn't get in the mood for this one, but I do love this author!

Cute story. It was enjoyable, at times predictable. Good old forced proximity and grumpy/sunshine. Thanks to the publisher for my copy.

Cute premise, but kind of feel flat for me. I feel like this story could have been more "angsty" - they were enemies to lovers real fast! I feel it could have been more developed.

Becca, a sorority mom is never taken seriously by guys, but when Harrison football coach and her next-door neighbor starts taking notice things change. In the past, they went on one day, but they never went anywhere.. now it might be more than just sex. Now they have to decide the real thing or not.

Jaqueline Snowe’s Snowed In for Christmas is a delightful holiday romcom that perfectly blends sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud humor, and a generous dose of Christmas cheer. Fans of grumpy/sunshine pairings and forced-proximity tropes will be absolutely charmed by this festive debut.
The forced proximity during the blizzard is the perfect setup for romance. As the snow falls and power outages force Becca and Harrison to hunker down together, their walls begin to crumble. Snowe masterfully builds tension, balancing banter, heartfelt conversations, and moments of undeniable heat. The chemistry between Becca and Harrison feels authentic, and readers will root for them as they navigate their undeniable connection and the emotional baggage holding them back.
What sets this book apart is the balance of humor and heart. Becca’s witty inner monologue and her ability to draw out Harrison’s softer side bring levity, while the exploration of their vulnerabilities and fears adds emotional depth. The holiday setting—complete with cozy fires, hot cocoa, and snow-covered scenery—wraps the story in a festive glow, making it a perfect seasonal read.
Snowed In for Christmas is the kind of book that feels like a warm hug on a cold winter night. Becca and Harrison’s story is proof that sometimes, love can thaw even the iciest hearts.
