⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 stars
thank you netgalley and forever for an ARC!
*miscommunication trope is not my favorite which knocked a few points off my end.* this book was a good as a palette cleanser between thick, heavy books. this would totally be a cute, steamy read for the christmas-y time. although, the title seems a tad misleading to me because i felt like they didn’t emphasize it being christmas time much other than mentioning it being december like once…
i’m also a sucker for a book that gives the hallmark movie vibe and this did just that for me in the sense of the relationship between the main characters.
overall, i liked it and think the characters are very easy to like together as well as separately!

3.5 stars. I didn't love this as much as I wanted to and I'm so bummed! I love her Central State series and have read a couple of her other standalones as well; something about Snowed In For Christmas didn't work for me but it's hard to put my finger on it. It felt really fast paced? Like I wanted a bit more awkward getting to know each other kind of stuff. But I liked Becca and Harrison a lot, and I really loved the ending! The second half definitely worked better for me. Overall it's a very good Christmas romance and I do recommend it. I just personally didn't love it as much as other books of hers that I've read.

As fun as the premise sounded, I just could not continue reading. I read until 50% before I gave up.
I am the first person to complain when there are paragraphs of description/telling, as I am more a conversation/banter/showing type of girl. However, this book made me realise that I need those conversations to be meaningful and lead somewhere. A large part of it is just mundane and quite frankly, boring to me.
This book also seems to be a lot spicy. Which is not my thing. I don't mind spice, as long as there's a plot along. Unfortunately that was not the case here - they are stuck together and have loads of convos and sleep together. That's pretty much the extent of it.
Evidently, I'm not the audience for this book. If you want a light, quick read, this might be for you.
Thank you to the publisher for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Snowed in for Christmas is a cozy and steamy romance that makes for a perfect winter read!
Becca and her neighbor Harrison went on one date years ago, and he ghosted her. It has made living side by side a bit awkward for the last two years. When a huge blizzard hits their town and the power goes out, Harrison and Becca hunker down together to share warmth and make it through the storm. Of course everyone knows direct body contact helps warm you up the fastest…
I enjoyed both of the main characters. Becca is the quintessential quirky girl with her multicolored outfits and nervous rambling, while Harrison is the classic quiet grump. The pair find ways to bond such as their careers helping college students and issues with their families. I liked that we could see their connection growing from just an attraction to one where they cared for each other. They attempt a friends with benefits situation that truly heats the place up and delivers on the spice and dirty talk.
The book is somewhat short, leading to a quick resolution after some miscommunication. It would be perfect to read during the first snowfall this year!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Cute rom-com that will definitely get you in the mood for the holidays! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

CW: family tensions, drunk driving accident (side character)
I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)
-m/f contemporary romance
-second chance
-forced proximity
-snowed in together
-opposites attract
-only one bed
-he falls first and hard
This just delivered on everything I trust Jaqueline Snowe to provide. A tropey read with excellent steam and just a fun time. Becca and Harrison had a great date two years ago, but then Harrison ghosted her, not ready to start dating after his divorce. But whoops Becca needs a place to stay during an epic snow storm.
I adored how different these two were, yet in their hearts they valued the same things. These two had amazing chemistry as they tried to pretend that nothing was sizzling during all of that attraction. Add in a need for body heat and these two were just explosive together. Harrison was so closed off, but to watch him just be gone on Becca was just the sweetest, how he couldn't stay away from her once they got together. This man was gone in the best way.
If you're looking for a great holiday read with steam, definitely check this one out.
Steam: 3.5

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for a copy in exchange for an honest review but this book wasn't for me...
It had a fun premise for a romance book.... Big snow storm and power is out? Becca's neighbor Harrison insists that she come to his place to stay warm and safe? But Harrison is the same guy that ghosted her after their date two years ago!
I spent too much of the book being annoyed at how many times we were reminded that Harrison ghosted Becca and how Becca is so quirky that men don't take her seriously - only to be topped off by Becca getting injured three times in the first 20% of the book, each time with Harrison to the rescue. I'm also confused with the blizzard, we are told over and over that it's -60 degrees out, they only have a fire to keep warm, and Becca's on the verge of hypothermia multiple times but then they're naked having leisure spicy time - I guess the physical activity of it all really warms you up ;)
I can see how others would like this book, it just missed the mark for me

A sweet rom com about second chances and a romance that blossoms in forced proximity. Becca and Harrison are very different- very different. They had one date, one hot kiss years ago and then nothing until...they're snowed in together, Brr. This works out better than either of them could have expected. Snowe (really?) does a nice job with these character and their back stories (not all sunny) and with making the blizzard feel, well, real. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Trope-y but fun.

I received an e-Arc from the publisher and Netgalley for an honest review!
I could not stop reading this book. It was a perfect romantic comedy adventure being stuck in a blizzard. I had to know what was going to happen between Harrison and Becca. I could see this being made into a cute movie too!
So many things kept happening that was sweet and funny. One thing after another. I liked how Harrison and Becca connected slowly and gave each other a chance during their time together in the blizzard. Their conversation was real.
There are a few steamy moments in this book after all it is a rom com. Whoo whee. I felt it!
I love how the books switches from Becca and Harrison's point of view and thoughts!
Becca has a heart of gold but if you mess with her friends or family she will turn into a lion. She shows compassion, leadership and kindness. I love how she rambles. I love how she is not a person who would do well in an emergency situation. She faints at the sight of blood. And her hot chocolate!
Harrison is a guy who is grumpy but under the grumpy exterior, he's a guy with kindness. It takes him a while to show his softer side of things. I love how he's handy in things and how he helps Becca in certain situations. He's a great uncle which I liked seeing in the story. I think Becca brings out the better side in Harrison.
I will say that both of their families have their quirks. Becca's mom is being a mom who is hilarious in trying to set her up which does not succeed. Her father seems super chill.
Harrison's sister is awesome who has three kids and husband which give off a great family vibe. I love the visit! His brother, Hank needs to wake up because his parents put Hank on a pedestal.
Each of their families have their own issues. I liked how Becca would give Harrison an out if he needed it and Harrison did the same for Becca. All of that tied in nicely with the story.
This is a pleasant and fun read! You have to pick this up if you are looking for a cozy, cute and sweet read. October 3rd 2023!

My expectations for this were really high. I love the cover (so cute!), I love Christmas books, and I love snowed in stories. Unfortunately, this let me down.
Neither one of the characters stood out to me. I didn’t necessarily hate them, but I didn’t particularly care about them or what happened to them. They were flat and rather one dimensional. Their dialogue was very cheesy and contrived. The “Blizzard Buddies” name for each other was very cringy, as were the steamy scenes. There was no buildup to them either, which made them feel out of place.
Most of the story was told and not shown. We’re told that Becca and Harrison had a date two years prior that ended up with him ghosting her, but it wasn’t shown. That made Becca’s obsession of constantly thinking to herself “I was ghosted, I was ghosted” seem kind of pathetic, especially since the reader didn’t actually “see” it happen.
Also, the Christmas vibes were sorely lacking with this. A few mentions here and there but nothing more than that.
This had a lot of potential, but unfortunately I was disappointed by this one.

Snowed In for Christmas was a very cute, cozy holiday read. Sorority mom Becca is is all set for two weeks of hot chocolate and relaxation, only a blizzard derails her plans and she ends up at her neighbor’s to last out the storm—only grumpy football coach Harrison has already ghosted her before, but as the two become blizzard buddies, she starts to wonder if they have a second chance in them. I loved Becca—she’s all sunshine and kindness but so authentic in her fear of being too much. My heart really went out to her and I wish that had maybe been addressed a little more. And Harrison has so much pain in him too but is so closed off. This forced proximity, grump sunshine is fun and heartfelt and cozy. It has a good amount of steam with a lot of Hallmark Christmas movie kind of vibes. I do wish the two communicated better on what their situation was and some of the writing felt a little forced at times, but I still really thought this was adorable. I love how Harrison falls for her, even if it’s all a little fast, and there’s just great balance and chemistry in these two. A very cute holiday read!

Four stars. Wonderful characters and plot. Fun Rom Com!! Will be recommending and reading anything in the future from this author. Thank you for the title.

This was a cute book. Not a lot of Christmas / holiday vibes. It was just set in December and I think they mention Christmas / holiday stuff once or twice in this book. This was a forced proximity, romance book. Still really liked it. But if you’re looking for a book with a lot of Christmas/ holiday vibes this is not that. I think the title is a little misleading. But I would suggest this one.

I really enjoyed this one. It’s light and fun! I’m a fan of they don’t like each other in the beginning. Not really enemies but he’s still a grump. Great palette cleanser for those that need a good holiday read.
I liked the sorority part of it since you don’t see it a lot in books. This is also a great forced proximity

Thank you Read Forever for the advance copy.
I really, really wanted to love Snowed In For Christmas by Jacqueline Snowe but sadly, this book was not for me.
Snowed In For Christmas was fine - definitely not my favorite. Becca and Harrison would be lovely one minute and absolutely unbearable or cringey another (together and/or separately). Some of the plot was totally random that it stop the story from flowing as well.
Becca comes across as cupcakes and rainbows. However, people kept referring to her as weird and I just didn’t see it. Maybe I am just more accepting. I don’t know. It was bothersome.
But…readers should still give this a try especially if they love:
•grumpy/sunshine
•smutty holiday reads
Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Closed Door Modification: Chapters 10, 11, 14, 17, 18

im starting with the Christmas books early. I loved this one! super sweet and light Christmas read. im really trying to get in the Christmas spirit and this was exactly what I needed.

For those who want a lighthearted romance with lots of steam this holiday season, this might be a winner for you!
With a massive blizzard forcing the power to go out, Becca reluctantly ends up under the same roof as Harrison, the grumpy football coach next door ... who also ghosted her two years ago after a seemingly perfect date and kiss.
Goofy, bubbly, and colourful, Becca was a true sunshine! Often labeled as "too much" or "too odd" by the men she has dated, I liked that she still stayed true to herself despite some insecurities. And I really enjoyed the unique addition of her working as a sorority house mother. Her relationship and dedication to the girls under her care was sweet.
I wanted to love this, but the "blizzard-buddy" fling Becca and Harrison fall into felt a bit awkward and forced. It didn't help that the bedroom scenes and overall language throughout made me cringe. I don’t mind a steamy romance, but this felt more focused on lust and their physical relationship. Because of that, I didn't quite believe their chemistry or happily ever after.

OMG! What a unique Christmas tale! Full of snow, more snow, and the hilarious antics of grumpy neighbor/college football coach and happy, colorful, clumsy sorority mom when they get snowed in over Christmas break. A fun Christmas romance!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Quirky Becca is a house mom to a bunch of sorority girls who keep her on her toes. Her main focus in life is making sure the girls have everything they need to succeed, while Becca herself avoids the stoic and reserved college football coach Harrison, who happens to live next door. The one awkward date they shared in the past is enough to make Becca stay away. When a blizzard hits right before Christmas, the two are forced to shelter together. Will their need to lean on each other dim Becca's light or melt Harrison's heart? Filled with witty banter, steamy moments and a tale of knowing your worth as a woman, this one is the perfect winter romance.

I really, really wanted to like this book. However, it suffers from two major problems: 1) 70% of the book is two people, who think the other hates them, trapped in a house. It's a setup that should be resolved with literally 30 seconds of conversation, but apparently it takes hours and hours of hours of conversation for people to get to the point. 2) The author, who lives in Arizona, says she got trapped with her husband in a storm, but it's clear she knows pretty much nothing about snowstorms. (For example, both of their houses should have every pipe burst and have massive water damage; 40 mph gusts are _not_ strong enough to either knock you over or break windows; I've NEVER seen a snowstorm where it drops to -60 degrees because if it drops that low, it's unlikely to snow; and four wheel drive does not actually make it safer to drive on ice.)
The book gets much better after the two main characters get out of the house, but by that point, I was so aggravated that I just couldn't get into the book. It's a pity, because it could have been so good.
