A nice story that gives an important message.

Empowering our kids to say no!

My children enjoyed the illustrations and it was nice to see kids that looked like them in the book.

I liked the topic chosen for child education but truly there was none that could really educate children in real sense. All through there was only superpower show with no actual meaning of why one must say NO. For me it was not good enough and to tell a thing about, via this book.

we loved the superhero imagery throughout. such a great message with fun illustrations depicting lots of ways and reasons to say no. this sparked a wonderful conversation with my 5 year old.
i loved the resources for caregivers at the end as well on ways to expand the conversation

This is such an important topic and is crucial to teach to even very young children. The power of no is quite powerful and every child needs to learn that no means no when it comes to unwanted touching, and to feel safe and respected. Highly recommended.

A great book for kids about the power of saying no.
I loved that the characters were superheroes to illustrate that saying no can be powerful. I didn't really enjoy the art with the very computer generated style. But overall, a good book for kids to read.

This is an amazing low-level book on the power of saying no. This is an easy to understand book about exerting control over your body and your feelings even at a young age. I think that every library, elementary school, and social worker/social services office should have a copy of this book.

This book is such a powerful tool to facilitate hard conversations with children about body safety and autonomy.

I can see this being a great resource for teacher, school counselors and of course parents. I appreciate that it had a parents guide in the back to further assist the conversations this book can start. .

The cover drew me in before even reading the subject matter.

The illustrations were fun and kept my attention.

This children's book contains adorable illustrations which are likely to appeal to young kids. That is important, because the topic it discusses can be a difficult one to raise with a young child.

But the importance of teaching kids about "good touch" vs "bad touch" cannot really be overstated. And it is vital that children understand that they have a degree of agency over their bodily integrity.

The rhyming approach taken by the author is a good idea, and again, is likely to appeal to young children. But the rhymes could have been improved in some instances.

Also, I think it would have been useful to have a more nuanced approach to the use of the word no, rather than glorifying it entirely - since, as any parent can confirm, no is a word parents hear all too often e.g. when it comes to vegetable consumption!

But I did love the illustrations, and overall, this is a good attempt to address a difficult topic.

I thought the messaging and content for caregivers was great. It's an important message, and it seems accessible. I didn't love the artwork, but would still recommend based on the message.

The idea for this book is great, but it is kind of pushing a lot of children to take responsibility on them. If you are a parent looking to read this book with your child, maybe consider telling that sometimes there is nothing that can be done and it is not the child's fault. Also, the illustrations are a bit creepy looking.

What a cool story to open the conversation and empower your kiddos to be able to say No and protect their personal space. I love that in the book saying no is presented as a super power. I loved the rhymes but I wish they would have been a bit simpler for younger readers to understand. Phrases like “words that I hurl” and a few others in the book aren’t easily understood by younger readers but I understand it was sticking to the rhyme. I would have loved to see more specific actions like unwanted kisses, hugs, getting too close, touching or even playing with hair getting called out as some examples that are okay to say no too instead of mainly focusing on the uncomfortable feeling (that is very important too). Concept and illustrations were great! Such an important topic and presenting it as a superpower is genius, I was just wanted some more substance!

I read this to my 4-year-old child, who I have been talking to about body safety recently. I felt this book was a good introduction, and leaves room for discussion between child and parent/adult.

This is an extremely important book to read & discuss with children. Using it as a discussion springboard can help parents & educators keep our children safe as they learn and grow. I liked the various scenarios pictured in the book and felt they were well depicted and could be used in multiple ways to help children ascertain the important ways they need to be aware of their surroundings and protect themselves. I would like to have seen the word ‘no’ on the hand as well as ‘stop’ however. I also appreciated all the parental & educator advise given at the beginning and end of the child’s portion of the story! This is a book that belongs in every home & schoolroom!

I can't commend this book enough.
The message is SO IMPORTANT and is something I've been teaching my 2.5 year old recently.
It's never too early to teach your kids.
