Yet another triumph by @dianakennett37 this thriller was deliciously dark and had me flying through the pages at breakneck speed. This is so twisty, I constantly felt like I was trying to get my breath back after the latest turn of events. The narrative left me with nagging doubts feeling like I could trust no-one. One of my favourite thrillers of the year!!!

'This wasn't twisty at all was it' she says, still trying to untangle herself from between the pages.

Having previously read One Down by Wilkinson and thoroughly enjoying it, I couldn't wait to get stuck into this one.

Flo, needs time out after she catches her husband cheating, enter Ciara, Flo's new friend who she allows to move into her house whilst she's away to test her husband's wandering eye.

Unbeknown to Flo or her husband, Ciara meanwhile has her own agenda.

Whereas Ryan the cheating husband already has a murder under his belt, or does he?

Narrated from both Flo and Ciara's POV, The Woman In My Home is well plotted, full of untrustworthy characters and full of suspense.

A twisted story of revenge, plotting to get exactly what you want and doing whatever it takes, or going wherever needed, to put your plans into action.

Full of suspense and intrigue, I was keen to read on and get to the end, finding out what happened to certain characters that fully deserved whatever came their way. I have to admit there are no characters I absolutely loved, even Flo wasn’t my cup of tea really. I wasn’t convinced about some of the things she did or the relationships she forged. Her connection with Ciara’s brother was interesting, I was expecting more from his character by the end as well.

Some twists and turns along the way but nothing that completely surprised me, I could work out what was going to happen and that’s ok, I enjoyed it. Sometimes too many red herrings/plot twists can be off putting. I liked that this went where I hoped it would.

This was an entertaining read, paced and well written. I would definitely recommend.

I found this story very strange. The characters are not likeable and even though the chapters are short , it just didn’t have the suspense. I struggled to finish it as I lost interest half way through

Flo and Ciara are the two POVs in this story. They decide to switch places and Flo lives where Ciara is from and Ciara lives with Flo’s husband, Ryan. Why would they do that? Flo has a deep mistrust with Ryan and Ciara promised to help her out.

At the beginning of the book I was a little confused because it jumps right into the story with very little context. Once I figured everything out I really enjoyed the book. The back and forth POV and not really knowing where each woman stood had me hooked. This story is full of surprises and I absolutely loved how the author revealed them. If you love a thriller that will keep you guessing this is the book for you!

Another gripping thriller from Diana Wilkinson!

Flo Bartlam needs time away from her husband after discovering his cheating so she flees to Ballyholme, Northern Ireland to soothe her soul.. Meeting up with Patrick, then Ciara, she makes friends. She then sends Ciara to live in her home in London, seeing it as a way of making life that bit more difficult for Ryan, her husband. But Ciara has her own agenda - none of which Flo is privy to.

Here is an author who knows how to take her readers and turn them inside out! There are so many twists and turns in this one, I was almost dizzy. The puzzles - and solutions - come at speed and they are staggering. Being pedantic, I did puzzle at how Flo travelled back to London having given her passport to Ciara, but that's just me. The end? Shocking! But no spoilers from me. The surprises just kept coming and it was a riveting read from beginning to end. Definitely one to add to your reading list and savour when you read it. 4.5*

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased review.

There is a lot to this book so buckle up flow goes to Ireland because she was heartbroken due to her husband Ryan cheating on her. On her first night she goes to a local pub and meets Patrick and sierra Patrick can’t help but notice how similar sierra inflow look and insist they take a gander in the mirror behind the bar when they do float can’t see a slight resemblance. Eventually her and Sierra become quite close and she divulges all her heart break to her and this is what Sierra comes up with the great idea she should fly back to London and pretend to be flow in in a couple weeks Flo can show up and after all if Ryan comes I want to Sierra knowing she isn’t flow then Flo will know for certain he is a cheater and if it doesn’t then she’ll know it truly was a one off and he is sorry. While all this is happening flow and Patrick become closer she is extremely attracted to him and although he doesn’t enable her OCD the way Ryan does she still could see herself being with him but not until she settles everything with Ryan. Unfortunately as soon as Ciara leaves flow gets an email with a video attachment on the burner phone she has because she gave her expensive iPhone to Sierra when she opens it she can clearly see a video of Ryan whose mom died in an elderly home of old age but in reality on the video you can clearly see Ryan suffocating his mom with a pillow. Right away flow gets nervous when does baffled as the hall Ciara has this and why didn’t you tell her before she left this wasn’t a part of the plan but what Sierra didn’t take into consideration was that Flo may be a perfectionist and have OCD but that doesn’t mean she cannot adapt and so once flow gets her emotions in order and except that Sierra has change the plan flow is going to play along because she has written the ending. This is a great book about a woman who gets cheated on in the first person to trust after her heartbreak was double dealing these are just a few of the secrets that come out in this great book The Woman In My Home by Diane Wilkerson and believe me when I say they have some life-changing secrets twist turns.‘s avalanches end it all makes for one great plot. I have read an author summaries word they say the book is explosive but in my experience in reading thrillers this is the first book I have read where that word came up in my thoughts for the review I loved it and think it is an awesome awesome thriller. Another great books by the author I received this book from NetGalley and BoldWoodBooks but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.ggg

The Woman in my Home, by Diana Wilkinson.

This book put me on edge and held me there all the way through!

Flo runs to Northern Island to take some time out, after catching her husband, Ryan, cheating with their neighbour. She needs to make a decision about whether she can forgive him and whether she can trust him ever again.

When she becomes friendly with Ciara and tells her of her plight, Ciara makes a suggestion that Flo can’t turn down. Give Ryan a scare, get her revenge and find out whether she can trust him, all in one fell swoop.

Flo hands over her clothes, keys and iPhone to Ciara and waves her off to her home, and Ryan, keeping only a burner phone.

As Ciara waves from the plane window, she simultaneously sends Flo a video of Ryan murdering someone. And then ceases contact.

I devoured this intense and compelling thriller in a day and the tension built throughout as the author revealed more and more to keep me, the reader, on that edge.

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

A hell of a physcological thriller that is so twisted it's mind blowing and scarily could be real. Flo discovers that her husband Ryan has been cheating with the neighbour. So she sends new friend Ciara in too catch him out. From there the whole story becomes complicated so I recommend reading it for yourself. I didn't connect or particularly like any of the characters they were to conceited for me. I did like the storyline of revenge, affairs, deceit, lies and murder. I loved this as a gritty revenge book because come on who doesn't like some cold hard payback.

The premise of this book sounded mysterious, and The Woman in my Home is the first novel by Diana Wilkinson that I have reviewed. I admit, I found the first chapter almost too unsettling and too detailed in the circumstances of the death for my taste. Something made me continue with the book. I wanted to find out who the intruder was and I wanted to find out what else was going to happen. The writing style definitely made me feel unease but also curiosity. I’ve reviewed some books with similar plots, so wanted to know what this would be like.

Thanks to Diana Wilkinson, Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

It was all meant to be easy. A change of location for me - swapping the claustrophobic city air for the beauty of rural Ballyholme, Ireland. And Ciara gets to stay in my central London house for a few weeks, free of charge. It certainly has its plus points: her unexpected appearance will freak my pitiful cheating husband, Ryan. and my sudden disappearance should also make him feel guilty for his wandering eyes. But now I learn Ciara has evidence - evidence that my husband is a murderer. And she's no longer answering my texts or calls. Is this some kind of blackmail? Or id Ryan is indeed a killer, could he kill again?

when Flo fins out that her husband Ryan had an affair with a neighbour, she gets her new friend Ciara to try and turn his head. But Ciara has her own motives in agreeing to Flo's plans. The story covers: deceit, revenge and lies and there's a few twists along the way. I did not like any of the characters, they were all flawed. The story is tild from Flo and Ciara's perspectives. The pace is steady.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #BoldwoodBooks and the author #DianaWilkinson for my ARC of #TheWomanInMyHome in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this arc received through net galley and the publishers.

When Flo meets Ciara and they hatch a plan to try and catch out Flos husband Ryan, little does Flo know that Ciara has an ulterior motive.

We follow the characters telling their stories and find out how Ciara already knows Ryan but he doesn't remember her.

A little slow at times, overall I enjoyed the book and will look for more by Diana Wilkinson

This book missed the mark for me. I liked the short chapters, as that usually makes for a fast-paced storyline, but I didn't find that to be the case here. Things dragged a bit, and it never really picked up, as I expected. There were some unexpected twists, but the characters were unlikeable.

Diana Wilkinson's "The Woman In My Home" is thrilling, twisted and unexpected. Diana Wilkinson has done a fantastic job of creating morally grey characters entwined with secrets, and cruel intentions, driven by lust and payback. We have a dual point of view between Flo and Ciara, who couldn't be more opposite. Flo is reeling from the pain of discovering her husband's (Ryan) cheating actions with the neighbour down the street. She flees to Ireland to contemplate and reevaluate her relationship. Her paths cross with Ciara, who proposes that they switch homes, with Flo staying in Ireland and getting acquainted with Patrick while Ciara crashes into Ryan's life in England. What happens when there is more than meets the eye between our characters? Do past events have a shelf life with consequences creeping into the present?

Each character held their own, and the puzzle pieces came together with every passing page. The main plot and the subplot complement each other well, and the association between the characters is well presented. The ending was surprising and rather unexpected.

Thank you, NetGalley & Boldwood Books, for inviting me to read this e-ARC. This honest review is left voluntarily.

The woman in My Home centers around Flo, Ryan and Ciara.

Flo is devastated when her husband Ryan cheats. She flees to Ireland to think and meets new friend Ciara.
Flo and Ciara come up with a plan to get back at Ryan. But, it seems that Ciara has plans of her own unbeknownst to Flo.

The characters were all very flawed and unlikable. Normally this does not bother me, but for some reason in this book it did. I think I needed some one to root for to make it more interesting. An okay book but not all that interesting to me. Many other people liked it more than I did, so don't let my opinion stop you if you're interested.

Thanks to netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc.

The Woman In My Home
by Diana Wilkinson
Sadly, this book was just slow to move along. even with the short chapters. I did finish it, but for me, it was just ok.

This was an ok read but misses a major twist. It centers on Flo, who leaves the UK for Ireland after her husband Ryan cheats on her. She meets a new friends, Ciara, and they make a plan for Ciara to go stay with Ryan while Flo figures out her next move. But turns out Ciara may have ulterior motives.

I didn’t read the synopsis before starting the book and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. Once I did, the story plodded along a bit and I wasn’t really surprised by anything I read. None of the characters were likable- I found Flo annoying even when she was making good decisions. I also thought Ciara’s plan was overly complicated and unnecessary. The ending was ok, but again didn’t really shock me.

Overall, I wanted more to happen in the book but it was a decent read that kept me going with short chapters. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
