DNF. Sadly struggled to get into this one. Might be my age of over 60. Generally like paranormal but trying to get into the new world and new characters were not easy. Still though, probably would have liked it when I was younger. Would recommend this book if you are in your 20s.

This one wasn’t my favorite. It felt very flat. It’s as if the author grabbed tropes from different fantasy books and put them together. I’ll pass on this series.

This is a general review of the two books I read: a well plotted and entertaining story.
A classic fantasy which starts slowly and introduce us to a magic world full of intrigue.
The first book is slow building, the second one faster and more entertaining.
Recommended.
